  • I considered my mums but it'll be August so I can't expect her to keep her doors/windows closed for a week. My other thought was leaving them at home and having my mother in law come round everyday. I just feel bad for them that they'll not be able to go out but I suppose in a cattery they wouldn't either. Decisions decisions, I've never had pets before so not had to think about it. It doesn't help either that they are so nervous, they hide if people come to visit. I knew it was a bad idea getting pets, lol xx
  • Thanks to a post on another thread I managed to get £20 of vouchers for £7.50 through groupon and zeek, I added a further £8 and so for £15.50 I got £32 of next vouchers - which arrived yesterday via registered post and have subsequently been paid off of the account! I did the same for OH but it all went a bit wrong - its all sorted now just waiting for them to get more next vouchers in - should be more of a saving with his as he got £10 free plus the £20 and £4 for the inconvenience (GREAT customer service from Zeek) - so if I manage to get another £32 voucher - it will have only cost £7.50 - RESULT!!! £41 of free money that I would've needed to pay off my next card anyway! I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!!
Hubby and youngest poorly with colds - I've woken up with a sore throat too :-( Hoping it goes before half term and chicken pox is doing its rounds again and has hit the childminders circle of friends - fingers crossed P misses this round!
Downloaded ziffit app last night and am hoping to send off some books in the next few days!
Need to get back into the habit of ebaying, have slacked off a bit over the last week!

  • Oh no, sounds like the red cross is over the door!! Enjoy lots of cuddles and naps and hope you both start feeling better soon.

There is nothing worse than trying to look after kids when you feel rough, sending you lots of feeling well wishes xx
  • Home again today. Have told work its P that's poorly, and have been told I won't be being paid for today. No surprises there!!!! And got a speeding notice in the post, fortunately it was OH driving so his points and fine but it all comes from the same pot.
P is having a nap so I'm chilling out for a while! CC1 statement due today!

  • That's so annoying, its really difficult having children and being made to feel so bad if they are sick. What are you supposed to do leave them at home alone? You couldn't book a last minute holiday day or anything?

Hey, CC1 is only just over the 1k mark, you'll be in 3 digits soon :)
  • Boss is a bit of a prat hence I am halfway through my 3 month notice period!
Feeling a bit low this morning, back at work, :-( CC1 statement is down to £828 with this months interest, my last minute payment to get it to £800 was too late for the statement date - blast!!!! Have updated my signature and am £94 away from being sub £30k. Wish I had more to throw at it and that it would happen faster.
Garden furniture is all but done just the underside of the table to be stained and it looks amazing! Am hoping it does well, an identical one unsanded and unvarnished sold for £271 a fortnight ago!
Was a bit naughty last night and bought a lightweight dressing gown for me and cardy for O for our hols, and also OH's wedding anniversary present. Budgeting is clearly not my thing!!!
June will be a new month and with no major expenditure that I am aware of - so my aim for when we get back from hols is to knuckle down, earn as much extra as possible and spend as little as possible!

  • Woo hoo, 3 digits and less than 900 too. That's great :)

Sorry to hear you're feeling low, you probably aren't 100% better yet I bet? It's horrible being in a job you hate, I hope the 3 months flies by for you.

How are you not tempted to keep all the lovely furniture etc? It's good timing for people buying new garden stuff so crossing fingers for you xx
  • We have the exact same table but different chairs - only OH has decided not to stain them as yet - he thinks teak should be left as it is! We paid £100 for our table and £100 for our chairs. The set he has restored was £20 on a local FB selling site! So fingers crossed for a nice tidy profit!
Am still feeling rough to be honest and if it wasn't my half day I wouldn't be here at all! Roll on 1pm!!!
