Spend free day yay!!!!! Got £5 from swagbucks and £5 from FB selling site! The cash has gone in our holiday spending pot and the PayPal £5 was paid straight off CC1.
Got 7 items on eBay finishing at the weekend - hoping for a bit extra to knock off the CC balance.Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Today has been a GREAT day!!!!
Not only did I get £40 from ebay sales, £5 swagbucks and £7 from FB sites, a £50 amazon voucher arrived (incentive for opening a junior isa) BUT husband has just got a massive job come in which will keep him busy for 3 months and provide enough money to pay at least 1 if not 2 of the credit cards off!!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!!!! Which is also a massive relief as his work had dried up and the job he was due to start this week cancelled this morning grrrrrrr!!!!!
So its a happy dance together with a weekend bottle of wine!!!!Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
New week, new start!
Last weeks aims...
- No buying takeouts or wine (our biggest downfall) - had wine Thurs which lasted until Saturday - pizza hut takeout for kids on Saturday :-(
- 2 non spending days achieved during the week - achieved one
- At least £20 extra off of credit card one. - blew this one out of the water £86 extra paid off
- Bring my lunch in for 2 days - achieved
This weeks aims:
- Get CC1 down to £900 (only £20 away)
- Get organised for big carboot at weekend
- 2 non spend days
- Bring lunch to work x 3
- NO takeouts at all
- batch cook some meals for little ones lunches at childminder
Keep plugging away at surveys as my free ebay posting quota is up until May!!!!Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -

Well done! Good luck for this week. We had a Domino's treat on Saturday night too
You deserved one for doing so well last week with your extra earning!

What a day!!!! No earnings :-( - but I did manage to take lunch to work, no spend didn't work out as decided to treat DD1 to see Cinderella at cinema which I've been promising for weeks (bad mummy) - used meerkat movies so was half the price!!!
Highlight of the day (excuse the sarcasm) was my boss announcing we were being paid by cheque on payday - 2 days before £2.5k worth of bills come out of my already overdrawn account!!!! I think my horror stricken and colour draining out of my face may have slightly shocked him! Basically I work in a firm with two partners - one is leaving on Thursday and the other has buried his head in the sand since sept who he received his resignation fast forward six months and he can't cope with online banking or payroll or anything remotely techie - how I haven't had a full on breakdown today I will never know! I have now however been paid by the resigning partner - next month will be interesting! So glad I only have two months notice left to go.....Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Oh and I paid of £900 of our total debt last month!!!!!!! Happy dance :-)Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100

Had today off work, spent most of it in bed trying to get rid of another migraine!
CC1 is now under £900 and 2 days before the end of the month!
Have batched cooked beef stew and pork casserole for baby - so have about 14 portions. Tomorrow will make some shepherds pie for her too - am running out of tupperware!!!!
Managed to meet my £5 a day target and was hoping to make it £10 a day... have fallen short :-( by about £20 odd.
No takeouts so far and lunch to work twice this week. The non spending days are alluding me and the car park machine near work has been fixed :-( after 4 weeks of free parking - boo!!!!Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
OH has had to cancel car boot this weekend - BOO!!! And I can't do it with the baby and DD1. He has some extra work though and that will earn him prob twice what the car boot would. Just gutted I have spent all week sorting it all out :-(
Started on the £10 a day challenge - got £10.50 for an old denim jacket and £12.50 for baby stuff on FB and just cashed my first £5 for swagbucks this month hoping geolotto will pay out tomorrow - am at £4.25....
Overestimated the childcare bill this month by £100 - no idea how! But split the saving and paid £50 off one credit card and £50 off another.Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Been a lucrative weekend all in all! Hubby sold a saw on ebay for £200, worked Saturday afternoon for and additional £150 and did a car boot today and cleared a £140 profit. He swears its the last one ever. People were stealing stuff and its left a really bad taste in his mouth.
Still £490 extra in 3 days not bad going :-) although I did spend £150 on Saturday on a rare shopping trip but managed to get the girls both sandals from clarks and a jacket for myself as well as a fair few dresses from primark! V. pleased with our little expedition.
18 days till our week in France - am SOOOOOO excited!!!!
Have a meeting tomorrow with a partner from another practice - will be interesting - its not a proper interview just a "meeting", I already have a new job lined up but this is the firm that one of my old bosses worked for. I have nothing to lose as they say!
DD1 has been signed up for swimming lessons - its a 14 week course and £147 gulp!!!! She had an assessment yesterday and LOVED it!!! Would really like to get DD2 signed up for something on a Friday (which I wont be working on from July - yay!!!!) Maybe Music With Mummies after school drop off ?!?Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Quiet day on the money making front - however had £3.99 refunded to my account due to messed up delivery which was supposed to be made on Sunday. O2 priority text me and have sent me a £5 M&S voucher for being signed up for a year and I used a 8p off a litre of fuel voucher in s/burys a £3 saving. Have lost the will with Ebay - I have 7 bits listed and due to run out at the weekend but not expecting much.
Garden furniture project is ongoing... 2 chairs and table sanded, first chair stained today - only another 4 to sand!
Am getting frustrated as I want the debt to decrease quicker!!! I think CC1 is around the £860 mark and my aim is to have it down to £700 by end of May - optimistic as I'm away for half term.
Not too far off another £5 from swagbucks and my first £5 from geolotto.
I'm trying to keep to budget this month with regard to grocery shopping etc but am having a nightmare with unexpected expenditure. I think next month I need to sit down and spend some time thinking about where additional expenditure may arise.Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100
