Car insurance sorted £50 less than renewal quote. Cancelled breakdown cover they wanted £185 ?!?! I have cover through Toyota on car until Oct and so took out a new policy for van (business expense) through quidco cost £75 and expecting £45 cashback _ result!
Garden fence survived another battering - only got to get to Saturday when OH is sorting the new one - the dog can get his head through to next doors garden so it definitely needs doing ASAP.
Ebayed a grand total of two items last night!!! Nothing else to report except CC1 almost at the £700 target for end of May its at £717!!! Yay!! And have prepared salad for lunch so other than essential parking charge of £2 should be a no spend day! Fingers crossed!!!Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
No spend day failure! Had to buy nappies! But I did bring my lunch to work yesterday (and today) and didn't walk to Tesco which is becoming a nasty and expensive habit!
Balance transfer done - now BC are offering me a 0% deal on the card I just transferred the bulk of the balance over ?!?
Feeling a bit miffed this morning, booked a villa holiday with my parents last night (all very rushed) and paid by DH but he put the hire car on the CC I am desperately trying to repay. Am going to make sure it gets repaid today or all my work is for nothing :-(
And next door neighbours have offered to go halves on the fence - which they don't have to but every little helps!
Am soooo tired this week, why isn't it Friday already???Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
OH paid the car hire money back off his card! YAY!! And I've now transferred the balance over so we now have 2 0% cards and 2 expensive cards. So my aims have changed a little.
My list at the beginning of the week:
1). Start on company accounts - not even started :-(
2). Car insurance - DONE
3). Sort out credit on gas/elec after supplier changeover - DONE
4). Ebay 10 items - ebayed 2 and put a few bits on FB selling pages
5). Try to sort out some books for Ziffit - need a sturdy box!!! - got box sorted finally
6). Sort out a serious budget and STICK to it! - not yet but am not spending other than on essentials
7). Meal plan for the week - DONE
8). Ironing fro holidays :-( - done a little
DH has a meeting tonight so will crack on with something on the list I swear!

Yay for 0% and neighbours with money!!!

Yes, why isn't it Friday already? I've been trying to get on here all week but couldn't get on the site, not sure why. I think its something to do with security at work!! I've got a load of catch up reading to do, lol.
Have a lovely day xx0 -
Gorgeous weekend! Longer than expected as childminder was sick, thats a days wages down for me :-( but did have an amazing day with P and managed to cook her 6 lunches to freeze for the childminders, plant up some geraniums and do some washing whilst she was napping. Cat is poorly and if we ever find her again she needs a trip to the vets!
Didn't really achieve much from last weeks list and my £5 a day challenge isn't going too well this month - need to get motivated!
Fence is up and looks great and new border planted up - only for puppy to dig up one of the plants - hes not popular this evening.Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Well you sound in the same boat as me at the moment motivation wise!! I'm still on board but due to overspending when I had some time off not a lot of extra to play with and pay off. I'm still doing my spreadsheets etc but its been a busy few weeks so not been on much.
Hope your little one is feeling better? xx0 -
Everyone is well at the moment for once!
I keep finding projects to do and so spending rather than saving seems to be the recurrent theme!
I'm still swagbucking and ebaying and selling bits on FB and all proceeds are going on the CC.
But we spent a lot on the garden at the weekend, but the plants we bought are perennial so hopefully a one off, if dog doesn't dig up the lot. Today OH is making me some planters. Hopefully I can get out in the garden after the kids are in bed for an hour or so!
Am trying to make food last as long as possible and am bringing my lunch in with me as much as I can.
Need some motivation for the accounts, ironing, and more ebaying and decluttering!Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Hit the ironing hard last night - 2 hours and still hardly a dent!!! Ebayed another 2 items. OH finished planters, the vegetable one is HUGE!! Way too big for its planned space so a little jig around is needed! Bought lunch in again today. Hoping to ebay another couple of bits this evening! Want to try and use the 20 free listings this month - that is my aim anyway!
Can see it being a spendy weekend as we want to resurface the shed area of the garden. So much to do and so little time, this working thing always seems to get in the way ;-)Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Started working on the company accounts and listed another 3 bits on ebay! So getting there slowly.
This weekend is going to be a busy one, we won a larger shed on ebay which needs picking up - our existing shed needs a paint touch up before photographing and listing. We also have to prepare the area it is going which means lining and filling with stone - so a big weedy area will be gone! YAY!!! Our small veg patch is going too, to be replaced by a huge planter OH made, as Max (the dog) thinks its his own personal digging patch! Also need to paint planter that's out on the front of the house ready to take the soil from the veggy patch and if time get that planted up! Not to mentioning painting the back gate, bin store and two existing wooden planters!! Roll on the weekend!!!Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£3100 -
Sounds like a weekend in the garden for you then!! I don't know how you do it, if we tried to sell a shed it'd probably have rotted away and falls to bits as soon as it was moved, lol. Also if I attempted to paint anything I doubt anybody would want to buy it!! You lot must have a creative gift

I bet your garden looks beautiful, you should put up pics xx0
