Thank you all for your kind messages. It's amazing how people I don't even know are showing so much kindness.
Trudij, I have another guinea pig called Percy: which species of Percy do you have?

Get better soon Galahad.
What happened to the other poor little guinea pigs, were they rescued too?. What is it with these people,do they not care at all except for the money aspect.I hate breeders, there are so many animals in rescue centres that need homes first.0 -
My Percy is of canine species - Greyhound to be precise, and while hes very good when we go to the pet shop to get his chocolate bones (cos he wont eat any other type of dog biscuit!!) and he now only glances in their direction, I dont fancy their chances much if he was to come into proper contact with them !!!
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Ugh, don't get me started on breeders  Poor little creature. Our Galahad was not pretty enough to be used for reproduction so hop, in the garden. But at least, he found us, or rather, we found him. All the other guinea pigs were rescued. Some died because of their living conditions, many females were pregnant and almost all had lice/mites. The lady I rescued Galahad from was the one who rescued them, with the help of many other rescues in the area. But I bet the breeder will keep breeding!

Hehe, well, I wouldn't trust a predator near a prey animal either. I don't even leave my rabbit with the piggies as she is quite the brute . Maybe sharing the same name and all the superior perks of being a Percy mean they could be friends :rotfl:
The vet should call tomorrow morning. As you can see, our pets are quite the kings and queens of the house0 -
How is he doing today - any news yet??Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

Nope, no news. The vet said she would call but she's probably very busy. She also said that no news from them means that things are going as they should. But I think I'm going to be a pushy piggie owner and call
Everything is so quiet here, even the rabbit is laying still in her bedsit (that's a first!). It's as if they knew what's happening to their little friend.0 -
Galahad is gone to a better place. I am devastated. For me, he wasn't "just a guinea pig". I got to know him, he had his own personality, he was my friend. Thanks to everyone who read/commented on this thread.0

I am really sorry to hear that, that is very sad for you. The only consolation is that he is no longer in any pain or unwell and the vet did their best. You gave him a very happy little life and that is what you must remember. x0 -
So sorry to hear this news
{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
So sorry Ellie. Oh how we love our little pets & oh how we hurt when they leave us. Just remember him in your heart & know that the love never goes.
