Such good news Bob :) hope it continues to go up!

No not Him. I mean manufacturers. I swear there are some things that say there is no dairy in them, but within minutes of having it, she's got tummy pains and it goes straight through her. It is a very distinctive smell when she has had some kind of dairy. Horrifying smell in fact. We tried a new brand of spaghetti hoops and she had that two nights in the last couple of weeks and both nights I had a similar mess. Just no idea what is in things unless I make it from scratch myself but she is so blooming fussy as well it drives me insane :( xx

  • synonomous thanks for that reply, i have used low
Budgets for things but not to low just incase i go over. Theres also money going in for insurance, cant wait for it to start adding up now :). this year ive paid off home ins but the 2 cars are monthly, along with tv licence and car tax. I was on maternity leave last year and not in the position to pay them off, maternity leave really messed us up financially (self inflicted i know ;) but id paid my credit cards and over draft off before i had the baby. He's worth rvery penny though :)
i use qu1dco for cashback, ive had about £700, ive also told loads of people
About it, i think people think theres some sort of catch of something!!

Well yesterday was a spendy one but a nice family one, also did some work at home. Painted dd's room, and stripped wallpaper from the bathroom, need to paint it today or sunday.

Had lunch at my mums and tea with the il's, so food was cheap!
Although they both made us chips so i feel a bit of a piggy!!
Still here..... but working on that!

    Morning everyone :)

    Fmess, have a great holiday!

Lilt,so sorry for jellytot and you! I hope she is feeling a lot better.

Bob, so glad it picked up yesterday :T

I was very pleased as wilkinsoons have paint offers which bring them 72.00 for 6 pots rather than nearly 90.00 at hoomebase and that included free delivery and quidc0 :T

Well today has been a spent day already as expected and will have a few more yet, so hoping to find deals. I still have to get the little fella a new school uniform.
LSK, totally agree with you regarding peoples attitude to quidc0. Since I started in 2008 ive never looked back :T And well done you for all of your decorating.
Well I hope everyone has a good day and take care :)

  • Hope Jelly is feeling better Lilt!!

Didn't get to check in yesterday, spendy day as realised in my easter egg buying session I had forgotten my friends two children - OOPS! So rectified, and today is a revision/ work session to try and get some uni work done, and also going to the bank to put in a cheque. Unfortunately, this probably means car parking, which means losing a NSD again :( Am going to have a look and see if they have any other branches in the city in a minute... I'm determined to have my first NSD today, and if I don't cash it today then it won't go in till next weekend.

    Anyway, totals below:

    Food until 15th April: £10/£20
Spending money until 15th April: £23/£20
    Food 15th April - 15th May 0/£150
    Fuel 15th April - 15th May 0/£60
    Spending money 15th April - 15th May 0/£40

    Savings:

    0/£100 for holiday spending money
    0/£60 (approx) for RDFs
0/£? remainder for extra savings (this is a little extra challenge for myself - I want to see how much extra I can sweep into savings on 14th may, before my next pay day!)

    0/15 Spend Free days
    0/£5 Donated so far
Lunch to work: 0/ 19 (not back in work now until tuesday)

    Things for me:

    1. Work steadily and hard on the last few parts of my CIPD qualifications so that everything doesn't end up being a frantic rush at the end and I achieve the marks I'm capable of.

    2. Leave the office every lunchtime and take a walk.
    0/19

    3. Do at least one non work/ uni related thing per week.
2/4 (dinner with a friend, park with another friend and small people. Doing well!)

  • Morning all!
Lilt, sorry to hear about Jelly not being well - I'm lactose intolerant, and it can be a nightmare. I can't even imagine what a minefield an allergy can be.
Bob, glad the business is picking up.
Today is a NSD as we've got friends coming over - making gammon in coke (an old favourite) and spiced pear crumble with some leftover Christmas mulled wine. Made OH have the tinned peas with his dinner last night - he grumbled so much I'm sure he won't make that mistake again! :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday :)

Gosh at the risk of repeating myself of a moan a few months ago. I started chatting to a poster on a different post because I was interested in them being a small trader too. Suddenly have the board guide breathing down my neck apparently I shouldn't be discussing certain topics outside another board. How dull. It really turns me off this place. Sorry appreciate it's hardly anything to do with you guys.

I'm sorry Bob, but you can't discuss these non-turtle issues on this thread; we're going to have to ask you to leave.

Oh lilt sorry to hear about jelly. Hope she is much better today!

Bob its a good job were a friendly bunch over here!

It's a beautiful day here today. We headed to llandudno this morning. Went to a toy shop first of all where there was a free Easter hunt and the kiddies won an egg each. Had a voucher for £6 off £20 spend so had a look for things to put away for birthdays, christmas etc but nothing jumped out and didn't want to spend for the sake of it so no spend there.

Then we went into the town, found free parking and went for a walk along the pier and part of the great Orme. Took some snacks with us to eat along the way and finished off in the ice cream parlour. They do the most amazing flavours and I had a special cream tea, which was a scone with vanilla ice cream and berry sorbet instead of jam and cream, plus a pot of tea. It was lovely! I had budgeted £20 there but it only came to £10.50.

Picked up a few pair of trousers for DD while we were out as hers are all too short and/or have holes in the knees. That was £19 for 3 pairs.

Back home now and helping little ones to pack as they are going to grandparents soon. Will be having lamb cawl tonight. We had roast lamb yesterday which the butcher said would be enough for 4 of us for 1 meal. Well, it did yesterdays roast, today's cawl, plus enough for a stew, shepherds pie and another roast!

Going to try and attempt some assignments later on but will spend most of this afternoon just chilling as I have to work tomorrow. Boo!

Wow that ice cream place sounds incredible. It's harder than you think to find really good ice cream isn't it. I rate Kellys cornish ice cream. Congrats to the kids too.

It really was incredible! DD had malteser bunny ice cream & DS has caramel Easter egg flavour with huge pieces of chocolate egg in! But they do new flavours all the time. I was tempted by hot cross bun flavour!

I have tried Kelly's and really like the honeycomb flavour.
