    Morning all :)

Thanks Fmess and Bob for Your kind words :) They do pay rent thankfully.Lol about me being the golden child, I think my mum would happily swap Fmess :rotfl:

Bob, good luck with everything. And do take care of yourself. You seem to be doing quite a lot :)

Well today I'm up with the lark and glad I don't have to go out if I don't want to. Loads of decluttering to commence today! Can't believe its Thursday already! Am I the only one that hates typing on a tablet, lol.

I've now paid everything for this month and next month should finally go below 3K. Ive accepted now that my Dfd, won't be earlier than August, so I'm not stressing about that now and concentrating more on changing my habits for the long term.

Well I did spend yesterday, courtesy of he hospital canteen and the little fella loves looms bands and needed some black bands a few hundred were 99p or for 3.99 in Argoss you could get bands and alsorts, and a loom maker thing reduced from 20.00 so I got him that to keep him amused and he hasn't stopped making stuff lol! Today will be no spend as I cant be bothered o go out, lol.

Well have a good day everyone :)

Looming is great for keeping them entertained isn't it. I was sent a load of them via a kind friend on here who's son had outgrown the craze.

Have a good day decluttering etc.

Thank you for the sentiment. I unfortunately don't have a huge choice at present. I used to have 4 staff before we closed. At the moment because the business cash flow was basically strangulated for 6 months I face the choice of building up again on my own or give up. The pregnancy isn't best timed admittedly. But I am a physical person. Always have been. So I'm quite good at being fairly stretched. If I feel I can't cope I will have to think of something. Another example of life not being clear cut.

  • Morning everyone! Sorry to hear that welsh kitty - I'm applying for jobs again at the moment and it is really gutting isn't it! I'm sure the perfect thing will be along soon :D

So.... numbers for day 2! Yesterday was a planned spendy day, and my only social outing of the month, today I'm hoping to bag my first SFD.

    Food until 15th April: 0/£20
Spending money until 15th April: £23/£20
    Food 15th April - 15th May 0/£150
    Fuel 15th April - 15th May 0/£60
    Spending money 15th April - 15th May 0/£40
    0/£100 for holiday spending money
    0/£60 (approx) for RDFs
0/£? remainder for extra savings (this is a little extra challenge for myself - I want to see how much extra I can sweep into savings on 14th may, before my next pay day!)
    0/15 Spend Free days
    0/£5 Donated so far
Lunch to work: 0/ 19 (not back in work now until tuesday)

    Things for me:

    1. Work steadily and hard on the last few parts of my CIPD qualifications so that everything doesn't end up being a frantic rush at the end and I achieve the marks I'm capable of.

    2. Leave the office every lunchtime and take a walk.
    0/19

    3. Do at least one non work/ uni related thing per week.

I missed yesterday and so much has gone on in turtle world.

Well done on getting below £10k and the car sounds brilliant should make a different to your budget.

WelshKitty hugs don't get down, get out and about. Something will turn up even if it is not your dream job for now. Enjoy the weekend and start a fresh next week on jobhunt.

Traveller I would hate my children to still be living at home. Not healthy in a way. You must be a very calm person I would insist they found time to do the food shopping ever so nicely.!! At least your not dull and have got life experience. Be proud of yourself.

Bob - good luck with the scan, hope it goes well. Rest lots in the evenings.

Well had to spend money yday, milk, birthday pressies and new home pressie for friends. Good old Lidl did it fairly cheaply.

    My budgets
    Food 6/100.00
    Animals 1/10
    Birthdays 9.08/10
    Going out 0/50
    Hair dye/ make up 0/12

    Today will be a SFD.

Yesterday looked at Amazon site and noticed my hoover's price dropped by 10.00 very cross, tried to cancel order as not dispatched yet but it wouldnt let me. Have the option to refuse the delivery but is it worth the hassle, just accept it.

So that cancelled out my Quidco 10.21 money I claimed yesterday.

On the upside, in work letting out some offices downstairs, so been given the job of cleaning them this weekend. Few extra pennies in my pocket anyway.

Anyone got any nice plans for the weekend? I am meeting up with ex boyfriend tomorrow, we get on okay to be honest, so should be a fun day no big romance is going to blossom but nice company.

Saturday afternoon Grandson and daughter go out somewhere try and avoid the traffic jams.
Sunday think daughter is cooking lamb and Easter bunny arrives
    Monday hmmm not planned yet.

Have a good weekend whatever you are up to. x

I'm ignoring the top of my kitchen cupboards at the moment but they definitely need doing. Today I plan on hoovering and cleaning all the floors as soon as the dogs have gone to the kennels. I have also decluttered a few more items as I have been getting stuff out for packing. Gym done and dog walking to commence soon. So far a SFD and going to keep it that way.

  • Hi all :)
Still sick today - dragged myself into work to be told to go home! Walked past the coffee shop twice and didn't buy self-pity chocolate.
Another SFD as I'm home now, but work seem to have messed my company car up (typical!) so now they've sent me an invoice for the month after I finished working there! Going to ring up next week and yell a little bit!
Hope everyone's having a good day - littleskintdragon there is NO way I'm getting on top of my kitchen cupboards today, nice one!

You are all scaring me into checking the top of my kitchen cupboard later...I may need a stiff cup of tea first :)

So, unfortunately, I didnt get the filming work. Big sigh. The email came through this afternoon. It would have been amazing. But I am looking at it as a great thing that it even happened. They felt in the end the space wasnt big enough. So nothing I could have done about that. Hopefully there will be more opportunies.

I am off for a soak. My answer to everthing at the moment!

  • Nooooooo do not look on top of the cupboards, i accidentally looked, and then i couldnt leave it!

Sorted a cupboard whilst i was at it.

Not a sfd, poor doggy had no food!

Dh had it confirmed that the car he's having wont cost us, so we'll be saving finance, insurance, tax and he's also getting fuel! This is along with the pay rise, which will only be about £20 a week, but between both it makes a HUGE difference to us finanically :) nice to have some good news for a change, ive been mega worried this last few weeks!

Bob sorry to hear u didnt get it :(

Academia i hope you get better soon

    Evening all,

bob - sorry to hear that but it must have been lovely to be considered. I am always jealous when you say you are going for a bath as we only have a shower, and I love baths.

academia - hope you feel better soon

Not a SFD - I had a kebab (awful on all fronts I know). No excuse except OH was going and I knew if he came back with one and I didn't have one, I would want one. However, I promise not to spend on my credit card this month so once the money runs out, I will be spending no more - and you can hold me to that and be mean to me if I even think of it :)

On a positive note, all the dogs went to the kennels at 5pm and by 8pm the house had been hoover top to bottom and the kitchen and conservatory floor had been hand cleaned. I haven't admittedly done the top of the kitchen cupboards, or the top of the two wardrobes, however I did do under the bed in our room and have done all the skirting boards and dusted each room too.

I will be off on holiday tomorrow :) so I will probably not be online for the next week :( There is a small chance that the hotel has wifi so I have my fingers crossed but thought I would forewarn you all. I have set a strict holiday budget and have almost all of it saved/paid for in advance (just need a small amount from the joint account next month to make it balance). As others have done, I will count everyday that I stick to the budget as SFDs, anything not budget for will lose me a SFD.

Hope you all have a great Easter weekend and hopefully it'll be lovely weather for you all :)
