Congratulations
Today was not a SFD. Went to town and got vest tops for holiday; spent £22.90 and got 6 vests tops, a dress and a pair of shoesAlso had lunch out - this is my once a holiday treat with a friend. Used my second Ald! voucher to fill up the cupboards ready for our return from holiday. I think we now have everything we need for the month except bread for OH, milk and a few fresh bits
I have started the spring clean by cleaning the blinds in the lounge and the kitchen light fittings. A little random I know but I am just noting the bits that I do that hardly ever get done; everything else just needs to be done every week.

Is the car not classed as a benefit in kind then littleskintdragon?? So his tax allowance is reduced to cover some of the cost? If not I am jealous
Congrats to DH on the payrise. Great to feel like you are noticed!!
traveller if I forgot to say, get well soon to Mum!!
DizzyImp got my fingers crossed on the house sale!!
Tiptoes is the eco village all rain barrels and solar panels?! I always wanted to live in a tree house when I grew up. One of those amazing ones you see nowadays which is more like a tree-mansion for grown ups. Pipe dreams...
Just come in to confirm a SFD has been had. I bought an ebook on my iBooks that I have been hanging my nose over, but I had a ridiculous iTunes credit from my mum which I would never have used otherwise so used that
Off to bed, nice early night for me. Jellytot slept better last night but I didn't so need to catch up some Z's. xx

WelshKitty - So sorry to hear your news. I imagine you are feeling a bit sore & down at the moment? Hope your family are giving lots of nice cuddles & love.
Well, sorry for the huge cliff hanger and not following up, the reason is I dont know myself yet. The lady came out this morning, seemed absolutely lovely, & was very complimentary about the place. But no email as yet from the agency. I am assuming that might be a good thing as if it was a no Im sure I'd have heard back? As they approached me specifically, it seems odd if they did just get cold feet. But with easter weekend approaching Im wondering if the decision maker may be off or something? Who knows but not losing hope yet.
I am very late home tonight as I had to go and have an extra scan, due to being a previous c secion mum. They wanted to check whether the umbilical cord was growing near the scar, which it isnt. Although they do have some concerns about the placenta being a bit low. Apparently at the moment that is totally normal, but if it doesnt move by the 20 week scan it may mean I have to have another c. I am not fussed really, so long as its a healthy baby, the birth is not important.
Just sat down, done all the usual checks. Today was a lot slower, only £85. But I was glad of the breathing space. The last two days were a bit much. Did a lot of cleaning, & making sure we have enough to last to Friday so all good things. First of the Paypal money came through, looks to be a 3 day lead time. Interesting given how quick normal paypal is. Wonder what they gain from that hanging onto your money for longer...
I think I may have a Foxgloves situation going on with my budget too, I have combed through it and appear to be up a substantial amount, which doesnt make much sense. Rent has gone out, went through rest of budget line by line, everything is accounted for. Weird....will keep an eye.
Found 5p on my travels. And also a £4.50 off voucher on a £30 shop, which I will definately be using on sunday. So good news!
Oh but woe is us, the weird electrical woosh that happened on the TV the other night turned into the TV now wont turn on at all, think its gone to TV heaven. RIP. I said to OH its time to downsize anyway. Our old house was a big victorian with quite a large lounge. This teeny house we now live in and love has a much smaller vibe and the 50 inch plasma has felt a little, er *chavvy* at timesnow is the perfect excuse to go minimal.
Right well night all. Sorry not to do indiviual replies this evening.

Hi everyone and thanks for your support guys, your great :T Mum had her final unit of blood but was determined to go back to work tomorrow! However they refused to let her telling her to rest :jShe has holiday due to her anyway next week, so she will be off for a while thankfully.
My sister is 37 and my brother 35. My age although now 41 is irrelevant. I will forever be known as the one who got pregnant at 18 and went on to have 3 more kids with the useless lout and then left him anyway :rotfl:
My sister Is respectable, no kids, a teacher and even a church goer, so she can be the one to save the families reputationMy brother is an OK guy and will help you if wants to and to be fair, has attended quite a few of the earlier hospital appointments with her, but no-one is willing to help with shopping despite the fact they live there, if its inconvenient
Welshkitty, I'm so sorry you didn't get the job, but do listen to Fmess, something better is on the horizon:)
Well take care everyone and good luck for the rest of this month an hugs to us all :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
traveller I'm sorry but I would say you have more life experience than your two siblings put together. And living at home at the age of 37 & 35 when you have a decent job and are so 'respectable' is quite.. sad really.
Regardless of what it looks like, and what you feel like (and a lot of it will be down to how you feel people think instead of what they actually think) you have a full life, a fabulous family, and so so much more than the two living at home. Just because you chose a different path makes you no better or worse than anyone else. You made your own choices and live your own life your way. For that you should be incredibly proud.
As for the shopping... well I despair. Have you thought of sorting an online shop out to be delivered? Would your mum be up for that? I know some older people see it as a social occasion..xx

Congrats to DH on the payrise. Great to feel like you are noticed!!
Thank u, no his boss owns the car, and is giving it to him to drive around. He asked how we were coping financially owning 2 cars,dh said was a struggle, and he offered for him to have it (whilst he works there). It's really nice of him, he does pay dh peanuts though so it makes up for it a bit!
Its a small business with only a few staff, unlike where i work where the people that have company cars pay ridiculous tax.
Feel a bit bad now because i nag him constantly to get a new job!! LolStill here..... but working on that!0 -

Thanks for taking the time to write this post lilt, its really nice of you
I did say I would order her shopping on line monthly. She was not happy, but really, I see no other way.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Traveller I completely agree with lilt. Although if you were in OHs family, you'd be the golden child as you produced grandchildren; we are constantly out of favour for not having produced any yet! Why are they still at home, if not to help out your mum? I hope they are not living rent free
My friend orders her mum's shopping online for her; her mum calls her with a list once a week and my friend does it on an app on her phone whilst watching TV. Hugs

Traveller - I echo the sentiment of Lilt and the others. How sad to be living at home at that age without a very good reason. You sound like you've had a lot on your plate from an early age but have triumphed where others may have lost their way. It isn't always easy to know the right way to turn in life. Better to have made mistakes be case you took risks than stayed still and ended up at home in your mid 30s!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
