Hello guys!!
I was going to have a SFD today and be a good girl, but instead I spent and spent#notevensorry
Last night was a few hours on the rocking chair in Jellys room with her comatose on me where I obviously didn't sleep, followed by an hour awake at 1:30am. Followed by getting up at 6am. I am shattered. Especially after spending the day trying to keep her occupied and trying not to give her too much food. She has had the grand total of about a slice and a half of marmite on seeded brown toast and 2 ginger nuts today. But she kept it down. But because she wasn't allowed to eat, I felt guilty so ate a couple of biscuits in secret all day. Starving.
Him arrived to tell me he got a promotion at work so I took the opportunity of him being here to nip out and grab much needed bread and something quick and easy for dinner tonight because I just want to sleep but could eat a scabby pony. Jelly has gone to bed and so far so good. Have also kondoed her toys and books leaving us with some much needed space. Also means everything has gone back into her bedroomI have my bedroom back and I have scrubbed it clean! Now to hope she doesn't trash the place overnight.
Anyways its 25% off on clothes in Mr S, so took advantage and completed my clothing spending spree with 2 pairs of leggings that I had 1 pair of and have worn to death over the last few weeks.got easter treats for me & him and for Jelly a dairy free Easter egg hunt. academiablues I feel for you with the lactose intolerance. At least there is still cheese and stuff you can have although it doesn't really match up (which is why I always cheat!). With us (me included) it is the dairy protein and it inflames the lining of our bowel and causes blockages when it is really bad. Hence Jellys issues now.
Anyways I got the stuff I needed and in total it was about £20 groceries but I won't mention how much on other stuff. My other budgets just got a bit of a chop into!
Welshkitty loving the sound of those ice creams!! I am obsessed with the salted caramel hargen darth
Hugs to all. I am off to munch that scabby pony and go to sleep! xx

Not a SFD today but did managed to sort out DH's underwear drawer
6 pairs of slack-elastic, grey and/or holey pants gone forever, together with four pairs of threadbare socks and a broken belt (why did he keep that?) I replaced the pants with new ones bought using vouchers received when I swapped energy supplier, but no new socks as there are so many, I can hardly shut the drawer.
It's my collection of shoes next...:(0 -
Hi all, sorry for lack of posts, I’ve been at work for most of this week and don’t know where the time’s gone.
I have now finally set my budgets – with a larger “all other spends” pot this month, to factor in school holidays, dentist and haircuts, kids’ usual activities (football, music, etc) then food and groceries as usual. I also have a night out planned with the girls mid-month, and if any left over can go towards nephew’s 18th cash gift next month. The £28.49 already spent was for two of the books I’ll need for teacher training in September – would have cost around £60 new but saw bargainous nearly new ones on the bay of E that were too good to pass up. I’ve already used most of my food budget but even if we got snowed in for a month we wouldn’t get through it all so hope not to spend too much more til May.:rotfl:
Have put £1000 into my training fund while I’m still earning, to supplement my student loan for the year that I’m not, and want to do this for the next few months if I’ve any hope of finishing work at the end of June instead of my original plan of the end of August. It’s gonna be tight, but figured it would be nice to have a whole summer off with the boys before it’s no longer cool for them to spend time with their mum!
Don’t think I’ve ever managed more than 11 SFD’s so far, but giving it a good go to get to 15 this month. Some of you hard core Turtles will be my inspiration for this. Kids’ activities, school dinners etc already put aside not to lose any more SFD’s than necessary. I'm going to make an online charity donation today, not sure who to yet but that's my next job.
As far as spring cleaning goes, I plan to blitz one or two rooms a day for the next week and finish my Kondo’ing at the same time. I’ve only got some of the kitchen cupboards, a couple more ‘tat’ drawers and then personal items such as photos left now, so figured 1-2 rooms to Kondo and clean each day is manageable.
I’ve started using DH’s treadmill for 30 minutes every other day, and am enjoying how much less stressed I feel as a result. I also signed up for Headspace’s free 10 part course yesterday, but can’t open it on my tablet, so going to try on the computer later. I’m counting my commitment to finish Kondo’ing as my third, as I feel so much better already and know that it’ll be worth it to complete that final leg.
Lilt, hope Jelly back to normal now, could almost smell that room of horror when I read your post…..!
Welshkitty, belated commiserations regarding the job – you can’t keep a good woman down for long though, sounds like you’re already back and fighting on the jobhunting front, good luck!
Commiserations too for not getting the location deal Bob, glad business is on the up though.
Hope not left anyone out, apologies if I did. Happy Easter everyone, will try and post more often (and then avoid more posts as epic as this one!)

Hello... a long overdue hello.
Sorry, due to work and other factors I have managed to read but not write.
Today is the 5th April and I have 3 spend-free days so far.
:j
We went shopping on the 1st and then yesterday I used my t0pc4shb4ck moneys to buy myself a fitbit zip.
I have been wanting one for a while now but kept putting it off due to the cost but the "indian food company" had an easter offer so I got one for £39.99!!
Don't know if it counts as a spendy day as it was money I got for free as opposed to money I earned.
:undecided
Hope everyone is doing okay, I have been reading but can't remember that much. Sorry.
Will come back tomorrow to let you know budgets and stuff as I am away back to work.
Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Happy Easter everyone!
Caeraugirl thank you. After feeling gutted for a day, I realised that I am actually quite fortunate - I have a job that will just about pay the bills, I have a beautiful family, and continuing in my part time job means I get to spend loads of time with the children over summer. I will keep hunting and applying, but it's not the end of the world if I don't find something straight away.
I have been working today. Had lots of strange people in, and lots of people moaning about things, but I got paid double time to be there so I don't mind too much!
Threw a quick sausage casserole together when I got home and have just demolished an Easter egg!
FIL has given me the money he promised for selling his car for him so savings are now well over £700. Have done a meal plan to use up freezer contents before new one is delivered so shouldn't need much shopping for next few weeks and will hopefully save a bit there.
Feeling a bit guilty for wishing time away, but I cannot wait until next Monday to get my credit card paid in full!
ETA: just sold an item for £50, so my savings are now over £800!!!!0 -
Dizzy -my husband sorted the laundry for the first time in months on Friday, not a dig just normally I do it. And he said to me I had to get new pants ASAP. I really have let undies slide. No titters intended. So that told me
Lilt -sorry you've lost yet more sleep. Really hope that's the last of Jelly tummy bug now. That's great news about your OH getting a raise. Both of you now. Good for the household!
Caeurgirl -well done on all your hard work and organisation. And that sounds ideal for your summer break. As you say it's important to have that time with your children.
Mothernerd - you survived the crazy family visit then?
Stewby - hope the Indian was good?
Not a SFD and also my plans were thwarted by all the big supermarkets being closed. I set off with my bags and list only to find none of them open. Was really surprised. Goes to show how much attention I pay. But all good anyway. Got some cleaning and organisation done this morning so feeling quite happy about the week ahead.

Hi all! Bob I had a similar pants situation a few months ago - I tend to wear clothes until they fall off/are so hole-y that I can't go out in public in them! Hope you manage to find some good ones! Lilt I hope today's been better with Jelly.
Today was meant to be a NSD but ended up booking some train tickets to go see a friend on her birthday, so messed that up :undecided oh well, it was previously budgeted money from last month that I didn't spend (as tickets weren't yet available), so it hasn't cost me any more than it would have done.
Had a lovely meal last night and got a nice bottle of buck's fizz for my troubles from friends. Been to mum's today for Sunday lunch, and now we're sat in the sun sipping the fizzI'll try not to drink too much of it, I'll only regret it tomorrow!
