sexymouse ((big hugs)) sort of know what you're going through, without the alcohol bit, my parents also were on about divorcing as I went through senior school but now many years later have decided to, downside is they are sharing a home at the minute which makes it very awkward. Hence Dad poss having a moan but he didn't this time as my kids were there.

tracyg ((also big hugs)) to you and your family, what an awful thing to happen, unfortunately I can't say it's the first time I've heard of similar problems. The NHS do a great job in many ways but sometimes there is an occasional bad apple, I hope the legal action taken means they will take steps to resolve any problems and reassures him it won't happen again to himself or anyone else. Great news about the house however :)

JillD I think you're doing great, with all that to deal with aswell as being heavily pregnant, you deserve a medal!!! As with the mind being willing, like with gifts, it's the thought that counts :D

Well after several strong cuppas through the day I've managed, unfortunately didn't get round to the nap time but did manage to sort through 5 boxes of clutter! All organised now, what needed flinging/recycling has been dealt with, all sorted into appropriate boxes for each room. Got the dreaded coffee table done, sorted through all the junk etc, moved everything to where it should be, library books will be stored under there from now so hopefully DSs (and DP who's just as bad for it) won't loose them, kids aren't allowed to take them upstairs any more. I'm really happy as that is now the LAST of the clutter from anywhere in the living room, looks so much better, even if I did think the boxes etc were well hidden. I want a nice 'dumping basket' with a lid, wicker box or something so DP can put his stuff in it when he gets home (instead of the lot been piled on the table then moaning if the kids touch it etc) and anything waiting to be put where it belongs can go in it. I think I'll aim for the kitchen ones next and work my way through.

My cooker arrives on Monday :D:D:D:D between 8am and 12pm which is a better time slot than the usual any time from 8am - 8pm. Fingers crossed no hassles with this delivery after the fridge problems, I think it's coming from the same delivery company, if they send the same blokes then I think I will have to keep DP locked away! Thankfully DP is away Sunday, so no need to do a big dinner, in fact on Sunday as he's out spending a fortune at RC race meet wherever in the country it is (Batley I think) I might take the boys out for dinner if I'm feeling brave!

DPs been stuck for almost an hour in traffic, it usually only takes him 15 minutes to get to work. Wonder what's up, definately not going out this evening now as I don't want to get stuck in it. His stuff didn't arrive in Birtley so I didn't go there, could really do with getting more fruit, there is only black grapes in that DS2 will eat, think I'll go tomorrow.

Right time to do a little more, don't know what yet, will check list off first and decide. Might see if I can get the online radio to work as a friend is on one of the local stations, just fancy some music..
One day I might be more organised...........

This morning I was chatting to my sister on the phone, when we both decided it was time to get cracking. And crack I did!!

    Put the kids to work!
DD2 and DD3 (aged 9 and 11) did a fab job cleaning the kitchen as it was FULL of dirty dishes...

I took squirt upstairs and she 'helped' me clean my bedroom (which I should have done yesterday but didn't) we changed the bed and hoovered. We then cleaned the bathroom. Well, I cleaned, she 'helped'.

When I got downstairs after that the kitchen was sparkling!! I was very proud of my girls!

I'm afraid the rest of the week is going to be a disaster as well as next week. DH has FINALLY gotten his backside moving after weeks and weeks of me nagging him about when we were going to start on the new floor.

Computer cabinet is empty now (TWO! moving boxes full of 'stuff') And it's being picked up tonight by friends as I want to buy a new one matching my coffee table and drawer cabinet. We shifted a whole bunch of furniture to one side of the room, and pulled up the old lino. To find old laminate flooring underneath.. (sigh) DH ripped that up while I cooked.
We ate plate on lap as the table is full now.. and underneath the old laminate flooring (which only covered part of the room) we found more wood boards. DH got his (new) circular saw out... sawed 5 inches into the board (so we can rip it up) when the saw quit working..

My darling, wonderful husband had managed to saw through the power cable!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

He is now putting a new cord onto it, as I was wondering if it would help to go back to the shop and ask if that sort of thing was covered by the warrenty!! ROTFLMAO!!!!

(he didn't think it was funny so don't tell him I told you!!!)
    I am absolutely killing myself!!!!

    Well, I'll be in touch!!

(and show you pictures once the new floor is in.)

I have hoovered the whole house, sofas, mattress and made the bed. No dusting done - I hate this job.

Boys loved go-carting I wish I still had the enthusiasm of kids.

DS1 accidently mowed over the paddling pool and has created a whole that even my fix-it up hubbie can do nothing with. Feel really cross as this is such a waste. I carefully wash it and dry it before putting it away so it has lasted well even though it is patched. Need to get a replacement for the weekend when my neice to celebrate OH birthday as she lives in a flat so loves this sort of thing. None at Tesco, expensive at Homebase, Argos ok but smaller than I wanted - any great ideas please - must to be to buy and not get delivered.

Right make the sauce for the cauliflower and get the washing in.

Evening lovely people! I'm happy 'cos it's sunny and just about warm enough for short sleeves - I like it hotter!
Ready to rip into today's list in just a mo after a cuppa with a moggy on my lap.
Well done to those of you who've finished for the day :T
That was some going Lizalu and what a fab way to spend a day at work today!
Welcome Ashfan, hope you find it useful here :D
DrAimee, I love going to the tip too, it's very 'final' isn't it. Late night opening sounds like a good idea, I may suggest 'singles evening' when I go to the tip on Saturday :rotfl: Actually, maybe not, I tend not to look my best with a car full of garden stuff and flying things. I hope you personally shine your door plate, I'd be chuffed, well done.
Hugs to all those with parent troubles and ill folk to care for and little chicks to round up and the heavily pregnant and the just plain under the weather today.

Crazily quiet day at work, the bottom of the bottom of the barrel has been scraped, wiped, polished and repaired..Tracyg, we work with 'stuff' that large animal practice vets send in for screening or diagnosis, sometimes even the (dead) large animal itself. Stinky job but yeah, interesting. When they're allowed to move the poor creatures off the farms that is... Tomorrow may be busier. (Don't think am breaking the Official Secrets Act saying this, don't know any for one thing!)

The list! PC area is laptop on coffee table, done last night.

    Evening!

Just spent an hour earlier and two hours then batch cooking for DS, got 8 pizza potatoes, 8 beef and lentil pot suppers, 5 chicken and red peppers, 8 carrot and lentil soups and just finishing a veggie shepherds pie. Pus what I've already got in freezer means hes sorted for the next couple of weeks whilst I pack up.

Just found out my Dads got a massive abyess (sp) on the plate he had fitted and its caused a major infection in his system. Has been put on emergancy list for theatre tonight and will prob have to stay in for a week as they can't close the wound once its removed and he needs meds for the infection. Great. They are in a major rush to get in out now as it could cause the plate to rejection and whole thing to fail again. Without my parents asking for it, it has been passed onto the complaints team at the hospital as hes had two A&E visits about this and has just been dismissed. My sister had a major c*ck up with an op at the same hospital so shouldn't be surpised. Must say though they were great when I had DS and when he took seriously poorly. Hopefully after this op tonight, we can get him sorted, looking forward to visiting him tomorrow.

lil me yay on the oven delivery
Solwaykid yes thats sounds interesting, I used to work at the only large animal vets in the area so love all that stuff

So after cooking like a woman possessed all afternoon, excluding the Starbucks trip, I'm pooped. Couldn't face cooking for us and DH is shattered after running around after DS for 2 hours so hes been dispatched to the chippie!

Won't get a lot done tomorrow as its swimming am with DS, DH is not working tom and want to visit Dad but will sneak on at some point to keep up.

    Enjoy your Friday!

Oh Solway I'm not like you, I hate it even this hot, we keep going on about going abroad but doubt I'd cope. Sounds like you do an interesting job, I'm just hoping the farm shop I use is still open this weekend, going to ring Brian tomorrow to find out.

Well I've kept myself busy to keep myself awake, blinds now in the wash, took them down earlier then forgot to wash them :o I've cleaned the window again very thoroughly as it's much easier when they are down. Hopefully they'll be done soon so I can get them back up before bed time. Amount of dog hair attatched to them was unreal, just hoping they don't need doing twice. Even if they've never shrank yet and I've washed them a lot I still get paranoid :o Oh and you can sit on either sofa for 2 days in a row without having to move anything, that's a record for this holidays :rotfl:

Pools, we hunted everywhere this time last year Dusty and nowhere had one, I ended up getting one from a retail outlet at Lightwater Valley of all places, have you tried Woolworths ?

Tracyg boy you've been busy, have you got a recipe for the beef and lentil pot suppers ? I have a massive tub of lentils to use up. Also the chicken and red peppers, what do you put in that ? When you're not busy of course, sounds like you have a lot on at the minute. Fingers crossed this op goes ok for your Dad, sounds awful.

Post will be up in a mo, nearly forgot :o oops

Not as much time as we needed this morning to get sorted as we had to take the cat to the vet as he has developed an eye infection so all I managed was to clean the toilet and basin before all the social workers arrived.

Visit seemed to go well, but we have to wait until Monday to find out if they want to carry on and look at linking with us with this little one or not.

Out with a friend to a pub quiz tonight so better get a shifty on and make myself look presentable.

Decided on a day at home tomorrow. DS will help me with his room, I can finish off all the jobs from the week that I've not been able to complete what with our days out and other official and social visits. Plus I have a few extras to do.

Hugs to all who need one and well done to those with lots of crossed of lists! :T
