Just popping in as DH is watching Location, it drives me mad but hes got a thing for Kirsty and as I've just made him clean up dog sick thought I'd give him something. Did a mad half hour earlier before DS tea (sat him in with me and was happy to go through the tip pile and stand up although he took a shine to some of DH nun-chucks (sp) )and then when DH got in, have cleared all car boot stuff into garage, moved all packed stuff back into spare room (can go into garage on Sunday once its empity) and loaded DH car up for tip on his way to work in morning. So all junk now out of house so its just packing everything thats left now over the next couple of weeks. Aaaargh, can't have the small glass of wine just yet  Since we lost our last set of hens to a fox, DH is keen to protect the next lot. He's improved the hen house, and has been going down to put the new chicks away each night. He's away himself, and as quickly as I'm putting them in, they're hopping out again    If I wasn't so tired, it'd be comical :rotfl: :rotfl:
Going to try one last time, and hope they're sleepier now, or they'll be taking their chances overnight.

I've done pretty much nothing today, other than drive from Southampton to Royston and back again. I now have another rat, she's a rescue from a large group of rescued rats who'd been living in less than great conditions, most of the girls were pregant when they were rescued, including this one, even though she's only about 4 months old. She's settling in well, though my bossy girl is letting her know her place.
Hope everyone has had a good day, those of you who aren't well, or have poorly little ones, hope you all feel better soon.

Oh my goodness!
This is the first time I've come acoss the 'flylady' thread. I am so glad I did!
I was beginning to wonder if I was a little weird for having written down the different rooms in my flat and which chores needed doing, and then dividing them into a rota for me and my other half to do. Well he seemed to think I was mad anyway!
He's not going to get off lightly now and my flat's certainly going to be a lot cleaner and tidier now I've discovered Flylady! :T
Thank you!!!!0 -

Hello everyone, welcome back returners to the thread, and welcome newbies.
Today I managed 1 load of washing - still out on the line, so I hope it doesn't rain tonight (got caught up watching qvc tanzanite collection, and then A Beautiful Mind came on, so I forgot all about it). I did manage to change the sheets after hoovering the matress first, and the linen is in the WM with the powder etc in ready for me to turn it on tomorrow. Have decided that we definately need a new hoover - despite being emptied, our Dyson still has hardly any suck to it, and I think that I was generating more dust by the exhaust blowing everything everywhere.
Am going to ask if we can borrow my Mum and Dad's Kirby hoover tomorrow when we go round to dinner, and give everywhere a thorough hoover, as I've been sneezing all day, and am not quite sure whether it is hayfever or dust! Will have to build up my muscles though, as they are really heavy!
Well, I'm off to have a shower now so that I'm nice and clean for my clean sheets. Sweet dreams everyone.
See you all tomorrow.

Good evening all. I got washed and dried 2 loads today. Woohoo as weather has been dire here and heating was broken so the washing has been lying around so was fab to get it dried.Heating all fixed so I had hot water for first time in ages. Lay in the bath with bubbles up to my nostrils for half an hour........bliss!! Did a small amount of weeding. Cleared out 3 cupboards in kitchen. Found a good few bits and bobs for car boot and managed to tidy cupboards enough so that I could clear work surfaces. Looks super clean now:j . To be honest I think it just seems cleaner because I had hot water to clean it with. Was out this evening so nothing else done. Oh well there's always tomorrow.5 Year plan. Just realised its midnight, I need to get to bed and dishwasher needs emptied. Oh well will just do it in the morning I think, if I do it now it will waken DD (her bedroom above kitchen and she always wakens if we do the dishwasher too late).
Went to Blockbuster with the kids this afternoon, they chose 2 DVDs each and I chose 1, all 25p each so £1.25 - bargain! Hubby and I watched A Night At The Museum tonight, quite good, very silly, but rather entertaining. And such a bargain. Noticed they had Eragon, might try and get that for Friday night.
