Harassed Mother of Two Kills Children and Husband, a harassed Mother last night killed both children and husband when husband came home and announced that he had swapped his day off for over time, preferring to be at work than at home with his two 'excitable' children. Neighbors claim it was a regular occurrence to see the Mother left alone all day with the two children 'her hair was totally grey man, and she just looked mad with it' said Jimmy Smith, 38. Doctors have announced that the 26 year old Mother was at the time suffering from severe BOINK-itis. 'Basically the kids were driving her the wall, she had just reached the end of her tether'. Police arrived at the scene and were reported to have said 'ah, its OK, its the 7th Wednesday after Saturday, and the house number was the same as the colour yellow divided by the amount of pairs of shoes it takes to change a lightbulb. She will get off with a good spanking from an over-friendly judge named Billy-Bob'.

I love this thread
Tia_mai, your news article had me laughing, and what's that bit at the end again?! A lot of hassle just to get a spanking off an over friendly judge
Two ovens gone kaput today? Oh no.. they come in threes don't they, NOT turning mine on tonight in that case. Lil_me, that new one looks a bit swish and did you read the bit about the catalytic whatnot? Self cleaning, hurrah!
Welcome back Tracyg wondered where you'd got to. Speaking of missing folks (as you were earlier) any one 'seen' Happyathome since the Spanish came to stay? Just realised how that must sound but you'll know what I mean if you know what I mean..
I've had a productive and not as strenuous a day as yesterday was and ready to tackle today's list just now.
Found out this afternoon that the movement of livestock ban is lifting at midnight tonight so we'll start getting regular work back by about Friday. It also means that my overtime rota is back on (phew) and that I won't have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for jobs to pass our days (double phew)
Off to put my bedding on the line and make a start. And to copy down the leeky couscous cake recipe, who I've already forgotten who I should thank for. (put those words in a sentence for me someone?). Thank you Mystery Recipe Lady, I love cous cous!
EDIT to say. I'm going crackers, I can't find that recipe again, was I on another thread? One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

:j Oh yes, fancy dandy everything, not self cleaning completely I don't think but hopefully make it much easier, did my research before buying and it said this
Catalytic liners feature a stay clean surface with a special catalyst which speeds up the process of burning off any grease deposits. The catalytic liners are activated by heat and are intended to burn off grease deposits as the oven is used.
No I haven't spotted happyathome either, just pressumed busy really, hopefully she'll pop in soon to say hello.
Oh PS the 'bugs' post was my 6000th :rotfl: something to remember it by.One day I might be more organised...........

New post now up, thought I'd best get it done as just had a call from DP to say run a bath for DS2 as he's been in a pond, yuk! He's been up the off road tracks which is manky enough anyway without that, aren't boys wonderful! No doubt it'll be late when I get chance to pop in again, have to think of something for our tea without using the oven.
Must remember to put my bed sheets on, will do it now, got a few things to tidy away in there from when I tackled it earlier, dumped it on the bedOne day I might be more organised...........

Hello, chaps! Thanks for all your nice comments yesterday - good to see that I can come back without feeling like a total outsider  Spent 11 hours at w*** today   In the office at 7am. Now I'm completely bushwacked. Didn't have time for lunch (wasn't hungry, either, so had a pile of fruit). That meant I could eat lunch for tea before I left the office (HG salad, with cold new potatoes, and cubes of cheese - yummy). Went to the supermarket on the way home, and I've put that away. The laundry has dried on the line while I was out. Will wash children's sheets for tomorrow. Might do a hour's ironing, too.
Have a pile of paperwork and admin to keep me busy this evening. I'm on my *Billy No Mates* until Friday (Small Penguins still with their grandparents; DH away on business and will pick them up on his way back) so may have a small glass of red soon :j
Must get my sig updated - I Raced for Life and raised over £200, so thanks again to you generous Old Stylers :T :A

It *was* this thread - it was Feisty Fairy at about 9.30 this morning! (I'm just about to trawl back to find it and paste it into my OS folder!)
Hope you find it (together with your sanity!)

Hello all,
I'm just on my way to run a bath, have a long soak and then get an early night. I'm pretty fed up because my new boss is still not replying to my emails. I'm going to pluck up courage and phone him tomorrow. To put it in context - we've been exchanging emails and having meetings about getting additional funding etc for the last 6 months or so - and suddenly with a month to go before I start work he's disappeared! At the moment I'm making 1+1 = 57 and am convinced something's gone wrong. I'm sure there's a rationale explanation, but I'd just like to hear from him.
Sorry rant/angst over!
Anyway, the list:
Level 1
[strike]Check fire alarms are working
[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
[/strike]
Level 2
[strike]Remove bed linen and replace with frsh linen
[/strike]
[strike]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs[/strike]
Level 3
[strike]Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
[/strike]
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more Sorry - I lost the will to do stuff about here!
Feisty: Did you hear back from the caravan people about your holiday? If so, I hope it was good news.
Tiamai_d: I hope you get the BOINKS to bed in time to rescue your sanity, and no dreaming about over-friendly judges!
See you tomorrow everyone,

One load of washing is all I have achieved today!
We all went out and spent another day on the beach down in Bournemouth.
I'll do a quick S&S of our bedroom later when DS is settled in bed, it's the quickest room for me to do each week.
We have a social worker visiting us tomorrow as we are being considered for a 3 yr old little boy so need to be up bright and early and make sure the place looks half decent.
tracyg- welcome back!
sexymouse- congrats on your qualification.
Hugs and happy thoughts to one and all....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
