MIT pleased water is back on, nightmare isn't it when you've got no hot water and boiling kettles all the time can be so tedious
ashfan83 welcome, hope you like joining us
Beckie I'd leave the wires too, my lizards day light lamp is being a pain, he keeps jumping at it however pulling it out, might have to see if I can get a cover for it, he's 8 now and only recently started doing it, pest that he is
Pen Pen hope you managed to get the little chicks in, I remember a friend who had them there was one night she forgot, was outside after a few glasses of red, in her dressing gown cursing them, picture of it going through my head her running round with the glass in hand :rotfl:
Feisty Fairy, pleased you sorted the holiday out, hope the bathroom issue is sorted soon.
JillD I keep meaning to go to Blockbuster with the boys, registered especially, downside is nearest is about 6 mile away and never got round to it.
Well, it's 4am, woke with very sore throat, can down for drink and pain relief which waiting for to work before trying to go back to bed.
Nightmare when DS2 came home, found headlice in his hair again, ARGH!! Anyway, treated him and me, checked DS1 who looked clear but his hairs got very long, so decided to be brave as he was still up at 10pm and cut his hair. Pleased neighbours were out as he screamed the place down, he hates having his hair cut. Anyway, it's done, he's definately clear. Mine is also, must have the smoothest hair ever after spending over an hour combing it. Going back to chemists with the little 'evidence' tomorrow, pleased in a way as I forgot to get DS1s prescription today. Wish the parents of the kids who constantly have them, my sodding neighbours, would treat their kids, would save me a lot of work!!!
Right may aswell do my list now, of course will include what I didn't get done today after the oven, headlice etc issues I gave up doing anything late on

Morning all :hello: OH had to be in work for 7am-ish and woke me up. Don't mind though because I've already put a wash load in, checked my forums & emails and it's not 7 yet
SO...I'm off to get the mop & I'm going to do the floors down here, can't hoover them though as it will wake DD and I can't remember what I did with the brush
Best get a move on
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all,
As ever, the world seems a better place now I've had a good night's sleep. I spoke to one of my friends for 45 minutes last night - they're in the moddle of adopting 2 children and I'm so pleased for her as everything is going *really* well. Then a nice relaxing bath and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I'm going to try and do level 3 on the bathroom and the upstairs loo today. Then the other task is to track down naughty boss. I don't think he's on holiday - I checked with the departmental secretary and she'd seen him around. I think he's just having a dozy academic fit - but it is sooooo frustrating.
This evening is a fun/busy one. I'm going to an early evening dance show in the Fringe Festival, then hopping on a bus to meet my old colleagues and customers for a posh dinner out (and the company is paying).
Penelope Penguin: I'm glad there is another hen-owner here, and I hope you've got those new chicks under control. Our youngest two are 21 weeks now, one is laying, the other is just *so* immature I dispair!
Welcome ashfan83, I'm glad to see other list-obsessed people around!
Feisy: I'm so pleased everything has worked out ok with the caravan, and thanks again for posting the yummy recipe. I may give it a go at the weekend (especially as our first leeks are nearly ready for harvesting)
Lil_me: I hope the sore throat is better this morning. Have you been back to the doctors yet? That was some list of tasks you had - don't go over-doing it. (Sorry - I'll stop teaching my grandmother to suck eggs;) )
Right time to hang out the first load of washing and get cracking.
Catch you all later

Well I didn't get back to sleep, starting to yawn now but kids been up since 6.30am so not much chance of going back now, unless DP will watch them later. Third wash load done, inc DS2s yakky trainers. Taking blinds down is next job now washing machine is empty (after have made kids breakfast).
7WW I have an appointment but it's not until Thursday next week, might be better by then, never know. I need to see the nurse then anyway so will see what happens. Regardless think I will speak to them as I've had this for weeks now and it's driving me mad. As for overdoing it, not likely, I've got the motivation of a teenage boy at the minute and it's showing, I'll just roll over to tomorrow (then the day after etc etc) what I don't get done. I'll get there eventually. One day I might be more organised...........

Didn't end up doing much yesterday apart from 3 loads of washing as I ended up going to visit my grandparents. Hair appointment has been postponed until today so I need to get cracking. DH out tonight though so I usually manage to get more done in the evening when he's not here. It does mean I can't finish packing until he gets in from work tomorrow though as I don't know what he wants to take.
I've asked my dad to clean the living room carpet while we're away so hopefully it will be nice and clean when we get back.

Morning everyone!
I'm sitting here because I'm too tired to do anything else. I got home at 11pm after the meeting last night, but then didn't sleep very well. I should be at the allotment weeding the potato beds.... before doing the bathroom and cloakroom.
I managed an-almost-level-three in the bedroom yesterday, but because the room looks more like a storeroom for a charity shop, I don't suppose that any of you would have noticed the vacuumed mattress and fresh bedlinen..
OH did clear almost half the book stack from the desk. He went and got his DIY dust mask, as he said the dust was so thick he was convinced he'd catch something. I pointed out that it's impossible to clean when it is just piled high with clutter, and just because the things are neatly stacked, doesn't mean that it is TIDY! (And he's been sleeping four inches from it for the last however many years and not gone down with some unusual and unidentifiable disease... this is the man, you may remember, who managed not to clean the bathroom for a whole month when I had to be in Thailand last year! )
I'm celebrating that I have managed to persuade him to get rid of quite a lot of books - why is it that men have to buy Haynes Workshop manuals for cars they don't even own? Or keep the ones for the cars they got rid of years ago? He insisted on keeping one of them, as it was for his first car, that his dad bought for him. Honestly, if you can remember that, why do you need the book? (Can you tell that I was quite a fan of The Life Laundry?)
He's also agreed that I can get rid of the exercise bike, which is only used to put his dressing gown on... Listed on Freecycle in the next five minutes!:D
The bedroom is such a huge task, that I've just been concentrating on doing 15 minute blitzes in there every time that it comes up on the rota, and also trying to remove three things from it every day. Some days, I think some bad fairy puts back five items for every three I take out...
Must get off this computer and do something...have a cup of coffee maybe. See you later! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Helloooo
Welcome newbies, welcome back people we've missed you and a big hug is available to all who would like one.
Im feeling surprisingly perky today and i have no idea why!!
I got a load of stuff done yesterday whilst also doing a 10hr shift at work!
Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
Level 1
[STRIKE]Check fire alarms are working
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing[/STRIKE]
Level 2
Remove bed linen and replace with frsh linen - Friday job
[STRIKE]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs[/STRIKE]
Level 3
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen Friday job
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more- [STRIKE]27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
- Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
- Clean windows in these rooms
- Clear any one hotspot (that was my room!)
- [/STRIKE]
.
I dusted the spare room before the things went back in and when i came to move it i evaluated whether i need it so some stuff is going to the tip.
I hoovered under the bed and i hoovered the curtains to remove the cat hair and washed the curtains in the spare room.
So all in all Wednesday was fairly successful and i am so pleased with my efforts. Maybe thats why i slept so well
Today
Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One
Clean floors in these rooms (even if it is around the clutter)
Level Two
Clean bath, toilet and sink
Level Three
Clear clutter from floor
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
[STRIKE]Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required[/STRIKE] did earlier on in the week with a capfull of bleach which got rid of all the stains!!!
Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt- [STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats[/STRIKE] did earlier in the week with my whites after the shower curtain just incase there was any bleach in there
- 15 minutes paperwork sorting!
- [STRIKE]Clean windows in these rooms[/STRIKE] did all the windows earlier in the week!
also going to get rid of my bin thats got broken bottom and handles and i dont use and some stuff that was left by the people who used to rent the house which is positively manky. Its late night opening at the tip. I sounds like im going shopping!!
I will start the weekend with an amazingly spangly house which is clutter free and a garden i can relax in. Thank you everyone here who has helped me achieve it and and extra thank you for lil_me for the list every week.
See you all later
(a rather perky) Dr Aimee Lister - who now has her metal name badge on her office door!!!!!!!!(sorry bouncing about that thing too!)

Morning all
Just forced myself to do the bathroom and toilet, I hate doing that. Not perfect but I've cleaned the toilet, sink and bath and washed the floors.
Also got two loads of washing on the line and one in the machine.
DD is vacuuming her car, when she's finished I'll vacuum through the kitchen and hall before putting it away.
Been to the tip with the pile of stuff from the garage and swept the middle bit I couldn't get to before. It's very warm today.0
