    Hello Lil_me and Pigpen!!!
she's an expert at moving, 9 times I think in as many years but only learned from this the last time. (I've only done it 9 in 12 years)

This is the third house we're buying but 1st time I hardly had anything and second time I was in hopsital so everyone else packed for me! Am trying to pack things and get them into the garage but its now full of car boot stuff and empty boxes as well as the usual stuff. Just sorted through all DS old clothes and packed away properly so think I'll get DH to put all that back in the loft tonight to just get rid of it. Right think I'll go and pack the car boot stuff from spare room now so that can go in the garage instead of sitting on my a*se. Decided to aim to car boot this Sunday so thats a load of [STRIKE]crap[/STRIKE] highly interesting and quality items out of the way :D

    Afternoon all

changed bed and remade. Got two loads of washing dried out on the line and put away.

Dusted and polished and vacuumed all bedrooms, landing, bathroom and toilet, living room, hallway and kitchen.

    Made a batch of hobnobs.

Cooked lunch and cleared away and shone my sink.

And watched two television programmes and read some of my book.

No wonder I'm so late getting on here!

We call it.. 'vintage retro boho'.. I once did an ebay listing and used all 3 words and my friend rang me thinking it was hilarious.. she has 'vintage retro boho' too lol... one man rubbish... etc

We've moved house 3 times in 3 years.. but I swear never again while we have small children!

The first time we moved we had next to nothing and one child.

The second time we moved on the Monday.. still not a huge amount.. 3 children.. and I gave birth on the Saturday to number 4... 6 weeks early of course!

THEN.. last time we moved.. 8 children, more crap than I care to imagine.. still slinging stuff out now.. and I am NEVER EVER EVER doing it again with this lot.. DD5 started crawling 3 days after we moved as well.. the day the chimneys were all being swept :eek::eek: Took us 6 months to pack and we are still unpacking 2 years later!

    NEVER AGAIN!!

wheres the elastic bands? I assume they are to relieve stress right? Oh theres DS2 crying....

ETA - DS2 (he is 2) has just handed my his milk cup so I will hold it for him! No bloomin chance mate! Honestly he just tries it on, comes up to you all helpless looking when really he can do it his self! Put that along with me just about to make dinner and wondering if its worth feeding the little brats after DS1 (who is almost 6) flushed his dinner down the toilet last night! How did he manage it? well, he sent me to get him a drink didn't he? Why do I bother?! Hubby is off tomorrow and if he comes home saying he is doing over time I will kill him too! You will see it on the news tomorrow -

Harassed Mother of Two Kills Children and Husband, a harassed Mother last night killed both children and husband when husband came home and announced that he had swapped his day off for over time, preferring to be at work than at home with his two 'excitable' children. Neighbors claim it was a regular occurrence to see the Mother left alone all day with the two children 'her hair was totally grey man, and she just looked mad with it' said Jimmy Smith, 38. Doctors have announced that the 26 year old Mother was at the time suffering from severe BOINK-itis. 'Basically the kids were driving her the wall, she had just reached the end of her tether'. Police arrived at the scene and were reported to have said 'ah, its OK, its the 7th Wednesday after Saturday, and the house number was the same as the colour yellow divided by the amount of pairs of shoes it takes to change a lightbulb. She will get off with a good spanking from an over-friendly judge named Billy-Bob'.

Oh I'm having an ARGH OH NO! moment and a YAY moment all at the same time. Thing is I bought another second hand oven 3 years ago to replace the broken 2nd hand one I had, well it broke today much worse. It was already warped (the top of the oven where the pans go is so warped the pans slide off) when I got it, the ovens always leaked heat but I was coping. Until when cleaning it today the glass fell through!!!! Anyways, some how will have to cope without an oven for a week, ordered a spangly new Zanussi one with a double oven :D wanted one with a double oven since we got our own home :D fancy ceramic hob and everything :D:D Ok it's not an AGA but we only have 55cm space so this is the flashiest I can get :D:D:D Oh and I haven't used my spangly new pans yet so I'm keeping them to use on my spangly new cooker :D:D:D Wonder if we'll find out my baking is just really bad as I've been blaming the leaking oven on my disaster cakes and yorkshires :o

Lil_me, I can totally sympathise! Mine broke today too - how wierd is that??? Went to cook DS's tea earlier and the damn thing shorted the electrics in the flat  Wouldn't mind but I was going to make prawn stir fry later as per meal plan (have defrosted prawns and everything!), thats obviously not happening now!! Am off to have a browse for another one on Littlewoods - it couldn't have hung on in there for another month til my student loan came through could it

Not much flying done today - got into one of my uni set texts (House on Haunted Hill), managed to finish it in an afternoon :j Thats now five books less I need to read during term time!!

Anyhoo, am off to have a look at cookers!

    Sarah xx

Jovichick I've ordered mine from there, simple reason being interest free (but will pay it off sooner) commision (to add to that saving which I forgot about so thats another £50 cash or more in goods, I also paid £18 commision sat on the account off it), quidco cash back (6%), then the money off codes, I used £10 off = ZQ410 £10 EMAIL APOLOGY and 5% off no min spend = XX199
from post #167 on this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=5899277&highlight=littlewoods%2Bcodes%2Bworking#post5899277 downside is it's now 5 days for delivery not the 3 stated at first. I have the cash in my savings pot to go and get one, but once the discounts come off, it isn't worth the hassle.

I ordered http://www.littlewoods.com/rf/navigation/product.do?Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&SNtt=zanussi+oven+double&Ns=prod_in_stock%7C1%7C%7Cprice_est%7C0%7C%7Cprod_min_base_price%7C0%7C%7Cscu_id%7C1&groupId=413406883&Nu=this_product&SNtk=littlewoods_search&Np=1&SN=85+4294966077&Ntt=413406883&D=413406883&Ntk=group_search&Dx=mode%2Bmatchall&thisprod=412108692&N=85+4294966077&Nty=1&Mis_item_id=15&Mis_item_loc_id=1&product=412108692 I keep looking at it and smiling. Really sad aren't I but I've always just bought a second hand one 'that will do' never been able to choose one as such, now I cook most things from scratch I've started really HATING my old one, I did have a small panic as I ordered it before checking if the new pans were ok to use on it, but they are fine, phew!!

Managed to do DS some waffles and fish fingers in frying pan, hob still works.

Have you tried your electric/the cables jovichick, mine did that and it was the wires connecting it, been fastened in too tight when BIL fitted it. Have you got a grilling machine ? When I was waiting for a new one last time I managed to do a stir fry cooking on the hot plates on mine, was a little faffy but worked. Maybe someone would have one you could borrow. Also check freecycle if looking for one just for now so you can buy one when it's easier.

Oh no, you also just reminded me, I've done no studying for 3 days, assignment is due soon, I best get some done tonight :( luckily this ones a ticky box online one so much less writing, just the working out to do.
One day I might be more organised...........
