I did the bare minimum today because I have had one of those headaches that make you sick and see stars and forget how to count to 10...

And then had appointment with the consultant for DS2 where I got news I didn't really want to get, but well, can't complain too much eh? So anyway, got ironing done which is something.

Only posting really to get the thread on my subscribed threads list.

Hope it goes well tomorrow- sounds like she definately needs to see a dermatologist asap- Hope your GP is enthusiastic aboutreferring her urgently/asking the dermatologists advice on the phone.I think its quite uncommon to get that sort of fingernail problem affecting lots of fingers/toes

michelle - thanks for the tip, will keep an eye out in Boots. I was sure Asda would do a big pack of their own brand (which is the brand I got) - but no.
And reading your post, I cannot believe how much you got done by midafternoon!

nicki - yeah we have loads and loads of empty nappy boxes used as storage boxes in the garage. My Dad put up some fab shelving for us last yer and we made sure the shelves were nappy box height apart LOL

shell - I am intrigued - what does playing Peter Pan on the trampoline entail ?

pigpen - what was the 'thing' to go to the charity shop ??? This is also intriguing me .....

lil_me - can't believe you still feel rubbish, (((hugs))) Well done treating yourself to some new pans. nothing like some retail therapy.

LJD1 - your DD's nail thing sounds hideous, the poor soul ((hugs))) to you and to her.

    Anyway my update for today.
Good day, my friend brought her 3 kids over this afternoon to play and they all had a great time in the garden, and it wasn't even too hot. On the chicken pox front, we thought it wasn't going too badly but DS has just woken up really really uncomfortable, really distressed about his spots which have got so much worse even since bedtime :( I think its going to be a loooong week (not to mention night ....)
We are supposed to be going out with friends tomorrow to a park for a picnic , they have a paddling pool type thing and I think now he's so bad we need to give it a miss :(

However some really good news - my Mum has just called, my Dad is heaps better (background - been in hospital 12 weeks with collapsed lungs) - his right lung improved a lot 2 weeks ago, the left one is finally loads better too, he is now able to start walking again with a zimmer (been restricted to bed/chair for a good 10 weeks now). They seem to think that if in the next few weeks they can organise oxygen and district nurse etc and a special bed and chair at home, that he may be able to go home within the few weeks. They have said it will be over a year before he is back to as full health as he can expect (which may not be as good as it was before). All in all fantastic news :T :j :D

    [STRIKE]- tidy up breakfast things
    - get kids dressed
    - WM - darks
    - washing out, in and put away
    [/STRIKE]

    [/STRIKE]
    - do a bit of filing in study, its going mad again
    - sort out some of hubby's expenses and work out what needs to be paid out

Thanks for all your lovely comments, it means a lot. I've calmed down a bit and have spent the evening searching for the best consultant for her to go to. Won't my doctor love me tomorrow!

Pigpen - she's 8 so having her nails painted is a very important part of her life!!! I've told her she can paint mine and her dads if she wants to! Lol xx

    a) I have no idea what the 'thing' is.. hubby bought it a while back.. it's made of wood if that helps and has these clippy things on.. we 'think' it is some kind of ancient clothes press.. but we don't know for sure.

    b) fabulous new about your dad Jill, hope he is back home soon so he can be with you all again.

    c) lil_me.. get of that chair you lazy lump and get something done!!!

    d) I couldn't be bothered to fill another binbag once I had put all the duplo and happyland away so I trimmed a rabbit instead... he is quite traumatised now, practically bald and not fluffy!!

    e) sod the house.. I'm off to bed with a cuppa and a book!! See y'all tomorrow!! xxxxxxxx
