Who will win the UK election ?

Well, good for you. I rarely visit this site, and come to mention it I had heard about a 'gas/electricity prize freeze', which appears to have been dumped, since nothing more was mentioned about it following an initial 'proposal' months ago. In my ignorance, I don't recall hearing any other concrete labour 'policies' – and I'm certainly not about to go and look for them. All I hear is attacks on the Tories.
No need to be rude – if I haven't heard what 'others here' have been so hugely privileged to hear, then I'm sure others haven't, either.
What I do know is that I will not be voting for an extreme leftie who will do anything to get into power – including teaming up with the SNP, an outfit that represents only a small proportion of the UK population, and does not bear good will towards the whole of the United Kingdom or want to work for the common good.Your awfully quick to point out your ignorance to others here!? You'd have to be incredibly uninformed not to be able to recall a single Labour policy; heck, we've been discussing some on here for years (gas/electric price freeze for example).0 -
Why haven't utility prices fallen as much as wholesale prices would allow? Because the suppliers are very nervous that with a labour imposed price freeze and an increase in wholesale prices they would go bankrupt hence 'keeping something in reserve'. So the 'price freeze promise' has led to higher bills. Labour demonstrate obvious economic illiteracy and as a result push up bills and yet it appears to make them more popular?I think....0

One things for sure, we can't lose. Tories get in and finish the job, great. Loony left get in and we get to watch them borrow billions to pay for votes and its straight back to 2008 with a big fat 'I told thee so'.0

How much power is currently being purchased at spot price? Rather than at a fixed rate.
The price of power also includes other charges. Someone has to pick up the bill for all the power lines that get blown down. Often topics get far to over simplified.0 -

indeed true
but that would also explain consumer prices not rising much when gas prices rises a lot : doesn't always seem to happen0 -
Actually, I haven't heard anything about any labour policies from the labour party.

Negativity comes from all the main parties, and if you cannot see that then you are just a Tory Party apparatchik.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

If you want to discuss your ignorance you might start by explaining which newspapers you read and where you get your political news from. I can believe you know nothing, but the parties have not yet published their manifestos. Despite this, most people who follow the political news know some of the policies of the main parties. I would rather slit my throat than vote UKIP but I can name some of their policies.
You might not agree with them but they are available without difficulty.

When did I say that negativity doesn't come 'from all the main parties'? In this case, however, I was talking specifically about attacks by labour against the Tories (which is virtually all I hear from labour), not about 'negativity' in general. Though the Tories do criticise labour, at least I do hear quite a lot about concrete policies from them as well (whether you agree with them or not).
I also don't know what you mean by a 'Tory Party apparatchik'. Hoping with all my heart that this country does not end up under a party with a terrible record on the economy, with an extreme left leader, supported by the SNP, which couldn't care less about the United Kingdom as a whole and is out to wreck it, does not make anyone any kind of 'apparatchik'.
Please – if you want to say something you think is clever, at least think about what you write before you write it.There is none so blind as those who will not see........

I did, if you do not understand it that is a reflection on your ability to comprehend the language.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
