    No need to be rude – if I haven't heard what 'others here' have been so hugely privileged to hear, then I'm sure others haven't, either.

    I'm not being rude. You seem to take pride in being ignorant, so I thought you'd thank me for highlighting just how impressive it is that you've managed to stay that ignorant, even on a matter you feel compelled to discuss as though you have an informed opinion.

    Another UKIP candidate has stood down... and for the first time it seems to be because he's a decent human being rather than because he's so bigoted even the bigot party couldn't continue to ignore it.
    In his resignation letter, Mr Wilson said he had been "systematically gagged by the party whip" and forbidden to speak about Islam favourably.
    A spokesman for UKIP said "Mr Wilson had clearly misunderstood the expectations that UKIP place on all of its candidates."

    Apparently they have less tolerance for people who want to say something nice about Islam, or take issue with blatant racism than they do with their party members who compare people with terrorists because "their names funny innit".

    Please – if you want to say something you think is clever, at least think about what you write before you write it.

    I'd ask you to follow your own advice, but I've come to the conclusion even you don't think what you are saying is clever, so you don't feel it needs thought prior to dissemination!

    I think Saph likes to dish it out but he cannot take it when applied to him.

    I think they have quietly ditched that idea now that prices are falling.

    Milliband reiterated the policy in that speech he gave in Scotland the other day - committed to freezing prices until 2017 and giving Ofgem the power to force price cuts. I know this as I watched it live (on TV I hasten to add). Paternity leave can be pretty boring, and things get desperate when Judge Rinder comes on. Plus Tipping Point wasn't on this week. A disaster.

    How much power is currently being purchased at spot price? Rather than at a fixed rate.

    Somewhere between very little and none would be my guess.

    The utility companies I expect would have a series of contracts for gas etc running from a few months in length to a few (couple of?) years.

    Its also on their website as a policy (ie a price cap while they investigate).

    Actually, she couldn't care less!:beer::j:T:rotfl:

    She is not 'dishing anything out' – merely expressing her own opinion (called 'ignorant' and a 'Tory Party apparatchik' by the likes of you, presumably because you hold the opposite view to mine), which has been answered by inane and rude comments. That's fine – do carry on if you like to engage in such things. I'll just bow out and carry on in my own way elsewhere, and will continue to get news from my usual sources, e.g. Radio 4, Financial Times and the Standard at the least for a decent spread of news.

    Do have fun. :beer::j:T:D

    With my political blinkers on there looks to be a high correlation between tory seats and conscientiousness...

    If you want to discuss your ignorance you might start by explaining which newspapers you read and where you get your political news from. ...

    I would respectfully point out that, by calling a voter 'ignorant' and a 'Tory Party apparatchik' just because they don't share your enthusiasm for devoting sufficient time and effort to establish the exact fine detail of Labour Party policy, you are hardly going to convince them that they should vote Labour, now are you?

    Just a thought.:)
