Update on me....
Natwest requested more information last Wednesday from me which included employment details from hubby's employer, more payslips from hubby and an authorisation request to check HMRC for accuracy of my earnings (self employed with SA302's already submitted).
These were sent last Thursday and submitted by my broker on Friday. Been waiting ALL week for news, not helped by the bank holiday on Monday. Chased Natwest yesterday and it's in review.... Don't know what to think at the moment. It's taken SOOO long!
Broker will chase again today... I really want to hear something before the weekend.. I'm losing my mind at the moment!!0 -
Where possible, Lenders like applicants to sweat over the weekend - it's like some kind of National hidden policy!I am a Mortgage Broker

I am really starting to feel that we are going to fall flat on our face with this..... We STILL haven't had any idea that we have got through underwriting and it's been over 3 weeks now since the application went in and over a week since extra information was submitted.
Our application was chosen randomly for audit apparently but not sure what that means and I never get to speak to my broker any more, only the admin girls which isn't ideal.... They are certainly not helping by putting my mind at rest.0 -

Although we weren't pulled for audit.
We submitted on 01/04
Asked for extra info on 15/04
and again on 23/04
Valuation instructed 28/04
Offer posted 11/05
So don't give up hope. It felt like forever, hopefully you'll get some peace of mind soon.0 -
Hi, sorry to jump in. we have applied for a mortgage with Natwest through a broker too. we made an offer on a house 26.03.15 and was accepted. we filled all the forms in with the mortgage broker on 11.04.15. we hadnt heard anything to contacted her last friday and she spoke to Natwest and they told her they need to see out P60's. surely it shouldnt have taken 4 weeks for them to ask for these. im getting really restless about it all now, dont think its looking very good. Not sure if its Natwest or the broker who are at fault :-(0

Sounds about the same as me loubylou it's really getting frustrating now. Still no news today and my buyers are starting to get VERY twitchy!! If I lose this sale because of this "random audit" I am going to be very cross!!0

If your brokers sit back and wait for updates from NatWest, they will be waiting a long time.
The only way you find out if NatWest are waiting for something is if you ring them and ask for an update. They then tell you they want XYZ and have been waiting for it since xx/xx/xxxx but they haven't actually requested it from anyone.
Their underwriter is supposed to call and if no answer, then email the broker with any requirements, but they simply aren't doing it.
The "no news is good news" approach is not a good idea on NatWest cases, as chances are, if you have heard nothing, nothing is happening.
If you've got your "7XXXXXXX" application number get on the phone to 0345 900 1110 and find out what's going on.I am a mortgage broker.
