We had our valuation done last Monday and the mortgage centre said the offer should come early this week in the post. From full application to offe that would be 2.5 weeks0

No problemo. We are porting our existing mortgage with additional borrowing on top. Residential at 80% LTV (very tight affordability!)0

Hi guys, anyone waiting for a valuation to be instructed?! was told on 4th June we'd been AIP and that a valuation would be instructed - nothing since! also sent back direct debit forms for mortgage and it had a mortgage account number on there... is that a good sign?!0

would love to know as well! full application went in 29th May and said AIP and valuation would be forthcoming... still nothing. just that they're very busy and may do a desktop valuation!0

We are FTB with 90% LTV and applied for a Natwest mortgage on 15th May. We submitted extra documents and signed and sent everything back within a matter of days. We applied through L&C brokers but I found they were being a bit slow so called yesterday directly. Natwest said they were just waiting on the signed letter from my OH.
Had an epiphany later that afternoon that I had totally forgotten to put a credit card bill on our application and rang our broker in a fluster. He said that it didn't change our affordability and he just needed to call to change the details with Natwest this morning. It is nearly 2 o'clock and I just called to find out it was on their "to do list". Starting to get a bit worried that Natwest will check our credit reports and see the bill before we have a chance to change the details over the phone.
Anyone else had to change details? Did you find it was easy?
Also what are your views on chasing mortgage brokers? I think I am starting to annoy them but at the same time it is my future in their hands and I don't think it's excessive to chase when they haven't passed on information.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum so far - it has been so helpful to know others are in the same boat!!
I agree, i also do not know whether to keep chasing MA!0 -
If you establish the valuation has been instructed, the next step is to check with agent/vendor/builder to see if they've had a call for access.
If they have, get the booking date so you know when the valuation is being done. Then you know roughly when it will be back with the lender (val date + 2 days.)
If there hasn't been a call, has the valuer been instructed or has the valuer got too big a workload and they haven't called for access yet?
You need to know how the system works to know where to press at the right time.
TBH your brokers should be doing this for you and for themselves.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks so much for your reply. I am chasing my broker as well... as far as i know, the valuer hasn't been instructed as monies haven't been taken from us.
Yet i received a bank mandate to complete which had a mortgage account number on it?!0 -
My valuation was done last Monday along with a home buyer report. Sadly my broker went on holiday last Thursday for two weeks! I'm gutted as the mortgage offer is the only thing we're waiting for as everything else has come back absolutely fine!
Should my solicitor and I get anything from NatWest in the post or will it all go to the broker?
Thanks? Rik.0 -

Me, my conveyancer and broker all got our paper copy of the offer in post on the same day. My broker got an email that the offer had been generated the day before so I knew it was on its way from the NatWest.0
