  • My application also went in on 23rd. I've not checked to see if they've credit checked us again.

I assume you haven't heard anything either? It must be normal at the moment then. My credit file on equifax was checked again on 23rd.

How long should it take for a general update? Application went in a week ago today (Tues 23rd) and they ran a second credit check the same day. Have messaged the broker who hasn't replied yet. Would they have been in touch if they needed more info or is it up to the broker to chase them? I don't know if I should expect any contact between application and valuation being booked or not?

Your case probably won't have been picked up for underwriting until yesterday, based on their current processing timescales, so I don't think there is likely to be any update yet. Once the underwriter has completed the assessment or requests further information, they'd email or phone your broker.
  • My broker sent an email on Weds asking us to sign a DDM and declaration. We did this and scanned it back Thursday morning but she said she didn't receive it till yesterday. So hopefully it's been passed to Natwest now. So they will look at it in 4 days or so?

I can't see a recent credit check on our 'check my file' records.

My application was submitted on the 11th and they took fee for the survey/valuation on the 23rd. They didn't request any additional information in the meantime except direct debit mandate. So it took 12 days for me.

Check your bank account as available funds will be reduced when natwest request fee. That's what I kept doing!

My survey was done yesterday, just awaiting the results. Anyone know roughly how long it takes to hear anything?

My valuation was done on the 8th and my solicitor received the offer today. I think it would have been longer had I not constantly chased them. They said they are very busy at the moment.

My application took 11 days in real time including a request for further information which had to be looked at, now awaiting offer (valuation was done on 22nd). So far they have been quicker for me than expected (a long delay waiting for documents from HMRC added time but that was nothing to do with natwest or the broker).
  • Our valuation was done on the 10th. Natwest advised my broker the offer was posted to all parties on 14th July. We've still not received anything.
  • Can I ask what type of mortgage deals people are getting with Natwest?

I'm looking at a 5year fixed for 3.15% which seems pretty good to me - although I am restricted to using Natwest due to Childcare outlay.

My offer is apparently in the post as all was fine with the survey. That's a long wait Sauvignon Blanc! Hope they don't do that to me, we need to complete within 21 days as the top of the chain are buying a newbuild on a 28 day timescale.
