update from me - still awaiting on the valuation grrrr had a call from our MA today to say the valuer spelt the street name wrong so had to go back to the valuer to complete again..... back to the parents this weekend grrrrrr
Ouch, that's rubbish, it's annoying how these seemingly small errors push things back weeks at a time — it all adds up.
Our valuation is being done today. EA told me the survey is tomorrow but it's schedule for Friday (spoke to the surveyor). Fingers crossed for good news. Hopefully we'll be able to exchange sooner rather than later as all our searches are done as our solicitor has the fixtures/fittings and contract ready,0 -
Possibly bad news for me!
Valuation was done Friday - great because at least we passed underwriting but...
Property has structural movement in the form of deflection to the gable peak. I have no idea what that means but MA has said natwest have requested full structual survey and that he thinks the vendor should pay this just waiting to hear back from EA.

Ah man, sorry brittany ! That is a bit of a !!!!!!,
Is it just in the hands of the vendor now?
The entire process of buying a house is really long winded and complicated, there are too many opportunities to fail along the process, which ultimately just means misery for the buyer/seller.
Really frustrating when you work so hard to save up the 12k deposit and you think everything would be easy but alas !!0 -

Oh no! I hope you get this sorted in your favour.
Our Valuation is being done today, hope they don't find anything. We do however have a full structural happening on Friday as well, as my partner sorted it out through work at a reduced rate which helps.
Our Property Pack and Contracts also arrived in the post today. So we'll get those signed and take them back to solicitor once we hear back from the valuation.0 -
My partner thinks their home insurance would cover repair costs.
We went for the cheaper valuation - i didnt think it picked up things like that everyone at work was telling me they just do a desktop valuation. So pleased it did though!0 -

Good way to look at it, its better to go into the purchase knowing any niggles with the property0 -
