Natwest mortgage via broker

Worrying for nothing over the £2 unauthorised overdraft, mortgage agreed today subject to valuation. Feel like someone is looking down on us as we were only asked for an additional payslip for other half. Estate agent emailed me to say survey has already been carried out. Slightly concerned that after 10 days the vendors solicitor still hasn't issued draft contract.
My timeline is
11 April - first viewing (didn't really like the house on this viewing)
14 April - 2nd viewing (now we love the house)
15 April - 2nd offer accepted within same day
20 April - Solicitors instructed
21 April - Full mortgage application via broker
27 April - additional info requested and submitted via broker same day
30 April - mortgage approved
30 April - survey already carried out0 -
Geez that was quick!
I too am applying for a mortgage with natwest , but we have exceptional circumstances....we are abroad and my husbands pay is in Swiss francs....Iam worried we won't get it and loose the house, Iam coming home for the kids schooling and my husband is staying out here, we have a 15% deposit on a 289,000 house so I hope that's something, he also has a very good salary and bonus, we have a credit card in the uk that we have had for years but have a few late payments on it due to us forgetting .......do you think this will hinder us?0 -
Forgot to add that Iam going through a mortgage broker so I hope all will be ok.....he says I have nothing to worry about lol....I think I will be having a few weeks of sleepless nights0

On paper it has gone quickly but every day has felt like a month and gone sloooowwwww.
It's hard to say what Natwest will do, do you have a good broker and what do they think? Mine is the family broker and I trust her implicitly and she was as cool as a cucumber, however the neurotic part of me refused to believe her in case I 'jinxed' myself. We were on a 95% offer and were expecting to jump through hoops on fire but the broker made it a breeze. Fingers crossed the valuation goes through okay and then we have the rest of the chain to worry about.0 -
Does anyone know how long it has taken after the valuation to get the offer in writing?
We dont want to pay any solicitor fees until we know everything is ok but dont want to delay any longer.0 -
They put it in the post right away as soon as they're happy with the valuation. Within a day or so (or at least it was for us a few weeks back) The valuation took under 48 hours to come through and be approved.0

With my valuation done today, I've been told to expect the offer in the post early next week.0

Hi all, my story so far:
11/03/15 - offer accepted on house 1 and mortgage application sent off to Natwest.
Fast forward to 07/04/15 - Got Natwest mortgage application approved subject to valuation
08/04/15 - Purchase fell through as seller refused to give access for Homebuyer survey to be carried out.
11/04/15 - viewed house no. 2 and didn't like it as much as house no. 1 (still grieving from losing my dream house and just comparing everything I see to it)
21/04/15 - house no. 2 was reduced by 7k so I booked to view it again and took a friend with me; and put in an offer.
22/04/15 - offer accepted. Informed bank of new property details
27/04/15 - mortgage approved subject to valuation. Valuation instructed
28/04/15 - valuation carried out
30/04/15 - waiting to hear back (don't want to get too excited, lol)0 -
I had my valuation carried out on the 23rd. Apparently the report came back with my name mis-spelled, but the corrected version came back to them on Tuesday. Fingers now crossed for news of an offer today!0
