If you look on your KFI, you will see valuation fee and valuation admin fee. You pay the two added together.

The total fee for a property with a purchase price upto £100,000 is £198.

    Thank you.

What is a KFI? Our MA never mentioned an admin fee.

Glad we had money in the bank! We had transferred most of it into savings!

Key Facts Illustration - it gives you a straightforward breakdown of the costs involved in the mortgage. Your broker should have sent you a copy.

The admin charge is basically more money for the bank. I paid £248 and it turned out on the valuation that the valuer couldnt access the new build property that day because of the work so he went into the sales office and copied the dimensions from the brochure.

    Hiya

We are currently going through the painful process of a mortgage application through a broker with Natwest.

The application went in last Friday and my hubby's employer received a letter this morning asking for confirmation of his work/pay etc, they also want my authorisation to contact HMRC (I'm self employed) to confirm the accuracy of my income.

They have asked for my tax office details but have no idea what these are. Can anyone confirm where I find this information?

Is this a good sign or could this application go on to be rejected?

    Worried sick!!

Same here, we chose the sofa, it fits by looking at the floor plan... but we need to decorate and measure properly..

oh and get the valuation and exchange all sorted ;)

I'm trying so hard to stay off Pinterest and not to start buying things!

However strangely my MA phoned the EA and they said a valuation had already been instructed. even though I hadn't paid Natwest yet, I guess they instructed it knowing I'd pay up.

I cannot stay of Pinterest lol, its just not happening :) more news today, i thought the surveyor was going out Thur / Fri but it was today. So hopefully wont be too much longer until we hear.

My other halfs gone and booked a full structural survey, best not hold things up too much! However he did get a discount as its one of the guys they use where he works, so I can't complain.,,

Time to head back to Pinterest :D

I'm self employed, I just had to supply 2 years SA302s, you can request these if your tax return is done yourself, (mine got lost in the post so o had them faxed to my broker - Natwest accepted them)

If you have an accountant do them,, I think you have to speak to them.

I have already supplied 3 years worth of SA302's when the application went in. These were originals from HMRC that took a few days to arrive in the post. These seem to be extra checks.

I think it may be because my income shot up in the last 12 months as I launched a new product which has really taken off. Maybe they want to clarify this?

Could be the reason, seems likely
