Thanks Tarragondragon. I was so exited when EA rang. I then got home and husband had an email from broker saying the same thing
Yes i am more relaxed now and exited. I am thinking more now about what decor etc i would like. I actually cant believe i have heard, felt like it would never happen. Will keep you informed about valuation. Hopefully you will hear very soon.
Good news, just had a call from my MA. Everything is good to go, mortgage approved!
However Natwest couldn't process my payment for the valuation as my card number has changed... quick phone call to them and it all sorted.
Fingers crossed for the valuation.0 -

Just had a call from our MA,
Apparently the valuation has taken place but the valuer natwest instructed wasnt the one who actually did the report (??!)
So our MA advised natwest are deciding whether they can accept the valuation report or whether they need to do again. MA didnt seem concerned though and advised we should get an offer through this week0 -

Your valuation has taken place quick. Fingers crossed they will accept it, you don't need anymore delay. Ours is scheduled for Thursday. Finally everything feels like it is moving quick. Is it too soon to start buying house stuff lol0 -

I thought that, seems almost too quick ! They only instructed valuation friday, unless there was an opening this morning or something and with the seller working from home she will have been available etc.
My wife was looking at sofas last night, i was like " DONT JINX IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD !!!" haha :eek:0 -

haha, we had our mortgage approved this afternoon and tempted fate by looking at sofas and wandering around IKA on Saturday0 -
Yay brilliant news Tarragondragon, really pleased for you. We have been looking at sofas too. In fact we have picked it lol, just need to measure when we get the keys to decide on a four and two seater couch or a couch and two chairs. tooo exiting
Good luck with the valuation Playitsam0 -
The money has finally come out of the account for the valuation.
We went for the valuation report broker said this would cost £123, Natwest have taken another payment for £75 anyone know what this could be for?0 -
If you look on your KFI, you will see valuation fee and valuation admin fee. You pay the two added together.
The total fee for a property with a purchase price upto £100,000 is £198.

Same here, we chose the sofa, it fits by looking at the floor plan... but we need to decorate and measure properly..
oh and get the valuation and exchange all sorted
I'm trying so hard to stay off Pinterest and not to start buying things!
However strangely my MA phoned the EA and they said a valuation had already been instructed. even though I hadn't paid Natwest yet, I guess they instructed it knowing I'd pay up.0
