Tarragondragon - we received information on ours today via our broker. They have accepted the application but just at a slightly lower amount they originally offered due to my husbands accounts being averaged out. We have to pay an additional £4000 or go to another lender. Luckily we have some spare money so we are going to proceed with natwest. Have to tried to contact them?

I contacted Natwest last week, hence knowing we needed more documents, our Ma submitted the documents Thursday, so realistically we probably won't hear anything until Tomorrow. So I'm reluctant to contact Natwest again. I may just give my MA a poke today though

Well best of luck you hear from them either today or tomorrow. I shall keep everything crossed for you.
  • Thanks. I'm preparing for worst case scenario, then it's good news I'll be super-happy ;)

Great news cat1984, thank goodness you had the money for the difference:)
Really hope you hear soon Tarragondragon, my broker rang me today, she said Natwest want to see proof of our deposit. Hope this is normal??? Going to scan and copy bank statement to broker. Now we will be at the back of the queue :( feeling rubbish at the moment.

Oh no, it's just annoying that you know it'll be another 3-4 days before they make a decision or.... ask for yet more info.
    Best of luck Sparkle :)

My deposit is in my Savings Account, as I didn't want to leave it sitting in my current account just in case. I'm hoping that as I bank with Natwest they won't neeed proof as they should be able to see it.

Thanks Tarragondragon, i am just hoping that will be the last bit of evidence they need? Sorry our deposit is in husbands savings account, although we are with Halifax not Natwest :(

Just so you know, the brokers don't always have things easier. I spoke to NatWest last Tuesday. They told me my case was queued for "know your customer" checks (!!!!!!??) and that these would be done and the case should be offered Thursday.

Phoned again Friday, no checks done and no offer.

Phoned again today, checks now done. No offer. It may be offered by Thursday...

    Not good.

We're still waiting for our buyers to even have their valuation booked by Nattiest. Their FA has stated they haven't asked for any further documents, but applied 3 1/2 weeks ago and nothing. Starting to get so frustrating.
