Have either of you thought of ringing Natwest directly? I have in the past and found them very helpful, however I got in trouble with my broker for doing this lol.

I have been thinking of doing that today, but i dont want to upset the broker, i know its so silly i should just ring.
I think i might just wait until Monday and if i have no joy of my broker i will ring them. What did your broker say Donna re you ringing them?
  • I've already rung Natwest, gave me the same info as my MA, just requesting the extra documents :|

    I didn't tell her I'd rung them though :D

Just not to do it, as they know what they are doing and It was confusing the lender with different people calling. So in the future I will refrain from doing it but it's so hard...

haha :D, i was worried that they would know if i rang? Do they not automatically know. If not i will feel better about ringing.

I feel like i am ten years old and dont want my mum to find out what i have done lol.

Edit, just seen your post Donna about Natwest getting confused about different people ringing. Right decision made, i will wait.
  • I only rang them because I hadn't heard from my Ma in a week, after a few emails, etc. So I was a bit worried

I have not heard from my MA in two weeks, but to be fair i have not emailed them as of yet for an update. Although i did on Friday, but found out they were away for the weekend.
  • I'd had constant contact with mine for a month until we'd submitted our full application, which is why I worried when I heard anything afterwards. There was a problem with our buildings insurance as well, which was also being sorted... Maybe I jumped the gun. I'm going to try not to phone natwest again :)

It is hard to resist though Tarragondragon, i can defiantly understand why you rang them. Hope we all hear something soon.
  • I provided 6 months bank statements just in case they needed additional information at the start of the application.

I'm pleased i looked on these forums, i thought it was going to take a couple of days not weeks!

We had our offer accepted in march, the seller was struggling to find a new property and the advisor from L&C advised it was best we wait to apply for the mortgage. Glad we have found a new broker now he seems confident we will get the mortgage.

I'm sure the seller is worried as they let us know they had found a property 24th March, and we have only put our application in last week. Now I'm worried someone else will come along and we'll loose the house.

I know how you feel. We did the paperwork for our application on the day our offer was accepted (30/03). Full application should have been with them on on 1st April, extra documents on Thursday. I'm hoping to see some kind of resolution in the next couple of days. Whether it be a no from Natwest so we can figure out plan B or a yes to proceed.

I'm just scared of losing the house, it took the vendor a lot of persuasion to accept our offer, I don't want to give her any reason to pull out.
