  • Oh dear, a simple yes or no would be brilliant wouldn't it!

My MA actually phoned me today, 2-3 day wait until Natwest hopefully give us an outcome now they have all the extra documentation. Fingers crossed they have something when she calls them on Thursday

It really would. I appreciate checks need to happen, but this is really hard.

That's good news. Well here's hoping Thursday is the day you hear back :)

It would be nice to get this out of the way before the weekend.

Grrr feel like I need to sound out!

Received an email yesterday from our MB stating Natwest couldn't loan us the initial amount stated due to my husbands 2 years previous accounts being low (hes self employed and was affected by the recession).

Agreed to pay the shortfall to make up the money, and again silence... My MB is still waiting for them to confirm.

This is driving me insane :(

My partner is self employed, 14-15 tax year he has earned significantly more than the previous 2 yrs, hope this doesnt cause problems for us.

My husband doesn't yet have the amount he earnt for 14-15 so it wasn't taken into consideration.

We only provided the last 3 years (not including 14-15) so that is why :)

Unfortunately, this years is almost double the previous, but hey ho!

We waited until the end of the tax year to apply, he did his self assessment straight away and ordered SA302's - still havent turned up 2 weeks later!

12-13 he was short of work for a while so salary was very little.

Hopefully this is ok, i hate not knowing lol

SA302s have been a nightmare for me. I'm self employed ontop my of day job. I ordered them 9 weeks ago, got lost in the post or weren't even sent (had several other letters from HMRC), ordered them 2 weeks ago, they arrived the day after I request they were faxed to my MA, so might be worth a try for you if you still need them

My husband and I are pretty much in exactly the same situation. Work was short for 3 years. We could have waited, but our this all kicked off over a month ago now and we were told by our MB to just go for it. Luckily we only needed to pay just over £4000 for our shortfall. Lucky we put in an offer on a house with a smaller budget than what we were originally given (£10,000 under). That could have been a far worse situation.

I know about the not knowing! Its driving us all crazy!

I really thought I was one step closer yesterday and now I feel like ive gone backwards :(
  • Well I guess we will all know more tomorrow... Another 24 hour wait. If I don't hear from my broker I will be contacting Natwest directly tomorrow.

Update - no luck for me! Natwest estimate 3 days for the underwriter to reassess the changes to the loan amount. I probably wont hear a sausage until next week now. I fee like crying!
