Update - no luck for me! Natwest estimate 3 days for the underwriter to reassess the changes to the loan amount. I probably wont hear a sausage until next week now. I fee like crying!
Oh noI know I have to wait until at least tomorrow, but I can imagine the same thing happening.
It's annoying because it just pushes everything to another weekend of waiting, with the bank holiday looming it just compounds the issue. Lets hope you have some good news sooner rather than later0 -
My thoughts exactly! Oh well, what can we do aye!
All I do know if I will be having a (some) very large glasses of wine when this is all over haha!0 -
Still not heard anything. I'm dying to email my MA but i don't want to annoy him! lol0

Phoned again Friday, no checks done and no offer.
Phoned again today, checks now done. No offer. It may be offered by Thursday...
Not good.
So, they'd told us one thing, then gone ahead and done another making us look right charlies in the process.
Spoke to our BDM about it this morning. Lovely you managed to shift it along a bit quicker, but telling us you'd done that so we can impress the client would have been helpful.I am a mortgage broker. Is this usual behaviour for Natwest?
I don't know what the average time is for an approval/decline agreement but these timelines seem crazy!
My loan was lowered due to my husbands last 2 years being averaged out and I was surprised to find out it would take 3 days to effectively go back into the pile ready to be reassessed.0 -
Kingstreet, do you have any idea what's going on with Natwest at the moment? Are they having some major backlog issues.
Our buyer is waiting for a decision just to instruct a valuation and Natwest they seem like they are massively dragging their heels.0 -
I've not heard anything apparently there is a backlog0

NatWest has appointed new staff and as is usually the case, things have got worse before they get better.
Experienced staff come off the front-line to help train the newbies and service dips.
It will get better for us as we'll be submitting business in a few months' time...I am a mortgage broker. I hope you all hear very soon. My extra information only got sent in yesterday, so i think mine will be next week (at least i hope so, please not longer). Next week will be almost 4 weeks and then we have to wait again for the valuation. I now have more grey hair lol
Oh and Cat, i will be joining in with the large glass of wine
Oh and i forgot to add that my brokers said that when she spoke to Natwest, they said they were happy with everything and only wanted proof of deposit. Hopefully that wont change.0 -
Thanks kingstreet. I guess every business has its ups and downs.
Can I ask another question... Is it usual for a loan amount to be lowered due to affordability and it have to be assessed again? So confused (and i guess a little downhearted) that we've been told we can borrow this much know if we pay a shortfall but now we've been told it'll be 3 days to be assessed. What are they assessing this time round?0
