Jocko - love the matter of fact way you reported in with a gain of 1 stone! I bet that raised some eyebrows in the group :rotfl: Is the strategy for next week a small loss, followed by light clothing, no tea, and empty pockets the week after so you get SOTW?
LL
Think I might hold steady for a fortnight, keep my weight up with extra change in my pockets and wearing my hiking boots on the scales. Then I'll record a huge loss by wearing light stuff, get both SOTW and SOTM.
Just goes to show how your weight can be manipulated from week to week and anyone who loses 10lbs in a week doing SP, should be taken with a pinch of salt.0 -
Hello all, this trial week has gone reasonably well so far, doubt i'll make a loss but its good to get into the swing of things!
Meal plan for tomorrow;
B: HM SW Ham & Egg muffins (anyone made these, will they actually work?)
L: Chicken and veg soup with salad and LO SW prawns in marie roseHM Chicken Tikka Masala
Trying to motivate myself to get exercising, I think i'll have more success if I do SW alongside exercise so need to get into a good routine.
Hope everyone is well, well done to all the losers this week! :TStarted SW 16/04/15 - 4lb off so far!0 -
Thanks for the welcomes!
I did a trial week Sympatea - I don't think I lost anything either but nor did I fully stick to it over the weekend but it got me into planning SW friendly meals.
Successful day today. Used 7.5 syns but not my HEa (although did have lots of fat free natural yogurt so not too worried about calcium intake).
My meal plan for tomorrow is
B - magic oats (HEB porridge oats steeped overnight in ff yogurt with chopped apple, banana and cinnamon)
L - not ideal as will be at a meeting where sandwiches are provided so I will prob need to use flexi syns to cover the impact. Will avoid the cake but know fruit platter will available.
D - risotto - will either make prawn and pea or butternut squash depending how I feel. Will use my HEb to add some Parmesan.
Will stick to fruit or other free food for snacks but try to avoid using syns other than at lunch.
Prob won't get chance to exercise til Saturday due to work and studies.0 -
I was asked was I really ill with a worried look several times
However some people have become obsessed with my weight (the scale woman at group is beyond normal) whereas others including my ex and his family have not commented on it at all5 stone different and not a comment on it

Good to see you mildredd and :T for getting back to target. I've had that 'did you lose it deliberately' question closely followed by 'I don't think you should lose any more'. I'd never go for weightloss surgery. Aside from the cost, I'm convinced that healthy, sustainable eating is the way to go.
Gherkins are just fat cornichons AFAIK b-e-g. I buy mine in Lidl generally although I do like the French ones. I think Maille is the brand. I find pickles a great way for upping the Speed food. I eat a lot with fried LO veg.Ok so today I am going to have an EE day.
B - 0% yoghurt with pineapple and mango
L- SW breakfast with beans, quorn low fat sausages, lean bacon, eggs and toast (HE)
D - Pulled beef with roast veg and rice followed by some fruit
HEX A - snack cheese during the day
Syns - Butter on the toast and a curlywurly later
Wearing my Speed cop hat rummer, just wanted to remind you that pineapple and mango aren't Speed food just free so you can only count your roasted veg today. No no no not sprouts Maman, you are asking too much lol
I am going to try roasted parsnips but not sure what to do.
I am also trying bits of different veg but I can't get used to it all yet But, I'm doing better than I was.
You're doing brilliantly wiz and even I don't like sprouts.;) Parsnips aren't Speed food either but they are tasty. You just do them the same as roast potatoes. I cut into chunks, parboil for 5 mins, then spray before roasting. Roast carrots are nice too.
This is the closest recipe I could find to my sausage traybake
http://family-friends-food.com/veggie-sausage-roasted-vegetable-tray-bake/
but obviously I use Frylight and I don't faff about pre cooking the onions and sausages. If you're worried about the onions not cooking then microwave them in wedges. If I'm doing potatoes in there I parboil them. Otherwise everything goes in for about 35 mins or until the sausages and potatoes are cooked. Sometimes I only add tomatoes and mushrooms about 15 mins before the end. Yesterday I put the parboiled cubed potatoes in the oven on a separate tray while I made the sauce on the hob for patatas bravas.
I like Skechers for walking as they're so incredibly light and comfy. Not the most glamorous but useful. I've got these:

I've had a great day in London. The weather's been amazing and reached 24 degrees.:D I felt really good and I'm still (almost 4 years after reaching target) delighted at how much lighter on my feet I feel. I did have JP and salad at lunchtime but hardly SW friendly as lots of oil/mayo involved plus wine syns and other naughties. BUT line drawn and back to normal tomorrow.
Unsurprisingly I'm not going to WI in the morning.:o0 -

I've been asked 'Don't you think you've lost enough now' or Mum commented yesterday when she heard my bp was low 'Maybe you have lost too much too quickly'. Well at just under 14.5 st I still have plently of blubber to shift and as for the bp - gp is looking at reducing meds.
Think I got the gherkins from Lidl maman and they were quite cheap. Will give the cornichons thingies a go next week. Do they sell the Maille ones?
I knew someone would be bragging about the lovely warm weather. It looks absolutely fab here this morning but I have just been out to hang the washing out in tshirt and its bloomin freezing. Checked todays temps and we might get up to 10 degrees - wow :rotfl: Your london trip sounds fab maman.
Oh well off down to Mums in a bit as I've got a busy morning and then got funeral this afternoon
Have a good day everyone.SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -

BEG - I much prefer cornichons to gherkins - they seem to be much crisper and, personally, I think they taste different - but that might just be in my head! I think the gherkins in McDs years ago put me off them, LOL!
Maman - glad you enjoyed your day in London. I'm down in Kent on the coast and we had brilliant weather too! Actually sat out in the garden in tee shirt and shorts for a couple of hours.
The food plan yesterday went AWOL! I'd forgotten we were going to my DD1s for DH to try and sort out her front door lock as the door wouldn't lock so meant her daughter couldn't go out yesterday but had to stay in with the chain on the door!
Unfortunately it wasn't something DH could sort out so ended up having to call a locksmith to sort it out! So DD cooked us dinner - wasn't brilliantly SW but the best she could do without notice!
We had tiny cubes of roast potatoes sprinkled with mixed herbs & garlic granules, lightly dusted pollock fillets (very tasty, not something we've had before) & some peas. At least the potatoes & fish fillets were sprayed with Frylight!
As I had plenty of syns to spare I don't think it will cause any problems. Also didn't have the planned wine last night so saved syns there too!
Back on plan today with an EE day:
B - strawberries - after WI
L - seafood salad sandwich (HEB + 4 - 2 for butter & 2 as using Great White)
D - chicken stirfry with noodles (which should have been last night's dinner!)
Back later after group and shopping. Must buy some more fruit & veg!
