  • Hi everyone

Hoping I can join your thread. Just rejoined SW last night after a 4 or 5 year hiatus. Been doing the fast diet for last couple of years but feel I need something different to refocus and the target of a weekly weigh in.

Like a good MS I got a voucher in Bella for free joining and have looked out all my old SW recipe books.

Hifi bars seem to have shrunk (and I mean the 6 syn / HEb one not the eve smaller light 3 syn bars). However when I crumbled it over my yoghurt and fruit for breakfast it still seemed to be lots.

Planning to make Burger in a Bowl for our dinner tonight but not sure if i fancy anymore!! Trying to think of alternatives but none of the obvious appeals either!!

    Welcome troubleonline :hello:

Tweets and Rummer - it did eventually get out quite sunny but there is a very chilly breeze. Thankfully it has stayed dry so far. No doubt someone will be along shortly to brag about basking in the lovely sunshine they've had today :p :rotfl:

Just had Hairy Bikers Steak and veggies for tea nom nom :D

Purposely not mentioning the weather :lipsrseal

I have a friend who lost 8.5 stone doing SW but put all of it back on plus interest so she decided a gastric bypass was the only solution. It cost her £10k and she's now thin, but because she lost the weight very quickly she has loads of loose skin so now she's considering spending more money on surgery to get rid of it all.

When she first had the op she used to have terrible problems - there were lots of foods she couldn't eat at all, like bread, red meat, pasta, fizzy drinks, and she had to sit still for half an hour after eating her tiny portion otherwise she had a funny reaction.

Not for me - I'd rather do it the slow way, or stay fat.

What's sad is people thinking that you must have had surgery to lose weight.

  • Chuffing freezing near the coast, Lantanna. Keep those winter things handy for a while yet. (Not that any of us are helping to motivate you at all...:rotfl:)

DH has just told me that he was talking to someone this morning and their hubby has had to lose weight as he has back problems and needs surgery. He has had weight loss surgery and she said he has done really well and lost 6st. Hubby told her that I had lost nearly 7st in about a year - asked him if he told her how I'd done it and 'he didn't think so' - I could have hit him as she probably thinks I have had surgery too. I don't think it would be an easy decision to go for wl surgery but at the end of the day you will still have to be careful what/how much you eat and I don't think you will have learned anything about healthy eating. Ok will get off my soap box now.

Decided on JP with tuna/tomato and huge salad. Will be having our evening meal (possibly Hairy Bikers Steak from freezer) early tonight as we will be going to see Dara O'Briain. Will have hexs when I get back for supper - maybe ryvita, cheese, cherry toms and a few olives. I was fascinated by your cornichons (sp?) maman and I decided to give them a go. Well got gherkins (I take it they are similar) and I love them sliced thinly. Woo Hoo more 'S' food. :j :rotfl:

Sorry for rambling on - good luck to anyone weighing in today.

Eh. Some people don't realise how easy it can be when you set your mind to it. You handled it very well ;)
