Morning
Went to the 99p store yesterday and got some Laughing Cow triangles - thanks for the tip Meg - they didn't have any of the bacon which was a shame. Also went to Iceland and I was really impressed with the prices of fruit and veg. I bought a huge cauliflower, bags of Braeburn apples and conference pears, onions and broccoli, all for £1 each.
Had a look at the ready meals and decided I'd stick to following the recipes and cooking them myself as I thought it worked out a big expensive for 2. I may reconsider later in the summer when we're working longer hours and have less time to prepare meals.
Have a good day everyone, back later - got accounts to do.

Bf got a box of Makro's own brand copy of angel delight and I've said I will make him some tonight. Not usually my kind of thing but I may try a little with a banana . Not sure on syns though so it would literally be just a couple of tablespoons!
I remember liking Angel Delight years ago and we had some recently as it's the sort of thing DH hankers after on occasion, anyway, I didn't enjoy it at all, it tasted really artificial, I'd rather have fresh fruit.
No idea of how many syns it would be and IMO not worth any!

Morning all, been an eventful few days this end. Was going to Glasgow to meet a friend yesterday so nipped in to New Look for something new to wear on Tuesday. I never buy new clothes because just find it really stressful and upsetting but am now at the stage where I have about 3 outfit options. I did eventually get something but NONE of their jeans fitted me (usually a staple of my wardrobe) and everything else in a 16 looked horrendous. There were a few tears in the changing room and it was pretty low moment but the only way is up from here! I bought myself a couple of things to "aim towards" as well.
Still sticking to eat nourish glow and am actually really enjoying it. Went a bit wonky when we went out for dinner to a tapas place but stuck to the tomato based stuff and wasn't wildly off I don't think - SW never leaves you. We went to the cinema to see the new fast and furious in the dbox seats - it was a bit like watching it while sitting on a carnival ride!! Sat and munched pots of fruit though so felt good about the choices I made overall.
I've just had a brunch of bulgar wheat, 2 x boiled eggs, 40g reduced fat halloumi (oven baked) and masses of salad. Later will probably be either soup with the gluten free bread or have it toasted with some lm sausages and for dinner I'm planning to make the chickpea flatbread and use that as a base for a bruschetta type thing with salad, veggies and either more bulgar wheat or sweet potato chips.0 -
Morning all
WI today and a loss of 2.5 lbs for me please, very happy with that. Only an annoying half lb off my 1st stonesomeone told me the stomach would flatten more with less bread etc.
This will be my next goal I think, I can't remember the last time I had a flat stomach so I may give this a go if it's true.
Planning on making a big pan of veg soup later as I have tons of veg in the rack so that will do for lunch. Tea will be a SW meal from freezer with cous cous and more veg of some sort.
Might take my study books outside into the garden today as it's beautiful out there.
Have a great day everyone0 -

Back from WI and amazingly lost 0.5lb! Quite surprised by that really after the hot cross buns at the weekend - looks like I reined it in enough to get the loss.
Have just had my mushroom omlette & salad and now going to have some grapes & more strawberries; bought a big box yesterday (900g) and probably only about 300g left now!
Still haven't decided what to have with the Crunchy Mexican Cod but may have some couscous as that only takes 5 minutes to make so can make it towards the end of cooking the cod. Have to say I'm looking forward to it.
I seem to be using quite a few of the recipes from this month's magazine so the menu plan has lots of new meals to try so means we're getting a bit more variety.

I think the recipes this month all looked really nice - how did you find the meditteranean chicken the other night?
We had a lasagne last night, never thought to make it into the canneloni that you made:doh:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
