  • Hi Everyone,

I've been reading but not posting. Had a pretty rubbish Easter as my LO had chicken pox so we were pretty much housebound the whole time and had to cancel the extended family lunch. Mixed break food-wise - I've steered clear of eggs and other chocolate but went for an Indian for DH birthday on Friday - I must have drunk at least a bottle of wine and then I gave into hunger the next day. Been on track since though so we'll see what the scales say tomorrow!

Thanks for the chart Shala and woo hoo JPSCloud! Well done to all the other losers and STSers too.

Lantanna & Midge - hope you both enjoy your Scottish trips!

    My food plan today is:

B: FF yoghurt, fruit and museli (B)
    S: skips (4), banana, nectarine
L: lentil & cheese loaf (A), tomato & cucumber, FF yoghurt
    S: pear, apple
D: HM Tarka Dal with chili & chickpea rice (from the Diwali issue of the SW magazine), Kit Kat (5)

DH took delivery of our new sofa today - can't wait to get home and see it!!

I can easily predict a gain tomorrow but not getting too hung up on it...well trying not to anyway.

    Today:
breakfast: heb cereal (shreddies) with 175ml ss milk from HeA
lunch: batchelors chicken savoury rice (free)
tea: we have evening training (5-8pm) so the plan is to take some green grapes, a sweet clem, a couple of pineapple fingers and a packet of special k cracker crisps (5syn) for whilst we are there then I will have some free tinned spaghetti once we get back if I'm hungry

Welcome back MeandO - I would just say (in mamans absence ;)) just make sure you have 1/3 speed food throughout the day. i'm not sure how big your portions of fruit were but grapes don't count as speed :D

    :rotfl:

I'm back!! and totally agree and would add that bananas aren't Speed food either. I can't emphasise enough how much Speed food helps weightloss. I'm not saying don't eat grapes and bananas MeandO but do try to have Speed fruit and loads of veg instead.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.:)
    Am I allowed to come back - again-again? :/
    . Again :/

Good to have you back. Just shout if you need any help.:)

I've only managed to read back a page or two but the NAS flavoured water is definitely free lush. Shame about your family not supporting you but we will!! Well done for persisting. I'm planning savoury rice for lunch too, old recipe so free.

Full page ad of 'your' dress in my paper today lantanna. Shame about your group. :(

I had a great weekend in Harrogate, so lucky that the sun shone on us. Positive was that I stayed in Holiday Inn and their breakfasts are perfect for SW. Fruits, Muller Lights and loads of HEB cereals on offer plus Laughing Cows and Ryvita if you wanted. Then the hot buffet had bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and they'd cook poached/boiled eggs or kippers to order if you want. Not sure if bread was brown or wholemeal but overall great. That's where it ended, ate loads of off plan food and far too much alcohol.

Got back last night and just had soup as we'd had lunch out. Trying not to do a shop until Friday and must drink more water/tea as a bit dehydrated.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: Golden Rice with stir fried veg (carrot, spring onion, mange tout, beansprouts).
D: sausage, mash, carrots, cabbage, fried onions
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy 2 for sausages

Thanks maman :) I bought 4 different flavours for £1.50 (1lt each) and they are just right to add a little variety in to my fluid intake as in warmer weather I'm less inclined to have hot drinks especially in my oven of an office!

How do you identify the old savoury rice packets? Didn't know some were now synned I've picked up a few packets (the one from today plus 3 others) in fultons/poundworld recently so might be handy just in case they are the synned ones!

We are re-designing our garden again! seems we do it every year though I think wonder bairn being mobile this year makes a big difference. It's not a massive garden but we have moved the big (heavy, I know cos bf had me move them all!) paving slabs from up the middle to down the side of the decking and put the storage boxes on them and are grassing where they used to be then fencing off 2/3rds of the garden to keep the doglet out so its 100% child safe (no dog bombs) all the time and he will have 1/3rd as his own little run. Lots of Bm but not sure if it will just make my muscles hold water as its not the type I usually do (I'm not used to lifting weights etc. My arms still hurt from Monday!) Looking forward to lots of outside play when it's done and the weather allows though!

    Planning for tomorrow now whilst I can still think straight;
breakfast: HeB cereal (35g shreddies) with milk from HeA, green grapes
lunch: going to cook off some pasta tonight when we get back from training tonight and will also boil a couple of eggs. Then tomorrows lunch will be: tuna pasta with a boiled egg and salad (lettuce, beetroot, cucumber, pepper, baby plum tomato)
tea: not sure yet. possibly fish and chips (battered cod from the freezer, its from ASDA, about 8/9syns I think) I'll sub my chips for a microwave jacket potato and serve mushy peas, garden peas and sweetcorn too plus have a salad bowl on the table. Oooh I'll look forward to that all day tomorrow now I've planned it!

How were the chocolates Tweets? What happened to the squashed one??:rotfl:[/FONT]
In the end it was as well that I had decided to not bother going back to group as had gotten a text message on Monday to say she had to cancel it. So I'm def convinced I'm not going back now!
I’ve a friend does low Carb and swears by Bullet proof coffee, they are going to be all the rage this year apparently. Not for me I’ll just stick to my plain old Americano thanks! :rotfl:
TakeitEasy, coffee runs straight through me some times and causes me pain and other times it doesn’t bother me at all!
Heading away tomorrow to Loch Lommand, so got to go home tonight and eat up all the salad that will go off in the fridge tonight and get packed etc. Will be off plan thurs, Friday and Saturday and depending what state I am in on Sunday who knows prob! I’m not going to weigh on Monday so that will just be a missed week Shala and then work towards getting back to normal for the following Monday. Need to not go too mad with the food over the weekend but having checked out the menus etc its going to be hard. Chips, chips and more chips.
Daisy my phone just died on me a couple of weeks ago never to work again and I lost a lot of photos and things, so make sure you have everything you need off that phone incase yours does that too! See this is my issue with Coconut spray / oil, I like Coconut but only in sweet things, I don’t like it in Savoury dishes at all so if you can taste it them maybe its not for me.
Good luck with the new class Shala!
Meg I’ll give you some of my BMI !!!!:rotfl: I’m 27 so I suppose I’m perfect but I so am not lol, but whenever it was 24 I was freezing all the time and in bad mood, but was less fat and happier about that – who knows!! Although I had a lollipop head going on! Really, 6 of one and half a dozen of the other I guess! And now I'm trying to get back to that! When really I could sit here and be happy as I am but the grass is always greener isn't it.
I have so much to do today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chocolates are delish lantanna :D I have eaten all the white choc ones :p:o not :D The squashed one was the first to be eaten :rotfl::rotfl:

My BMI is 23.7 and I am always cold and my botski as lost its cushion :( :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Looking forward to the weigh in tomorrow. Cant see chocs making a difference seeing I counted them in my syns ;)

    Ninth Anniversary
Grrr just typed a whole post out and pressed something I shouldn't have and it all vanished into cyberspace!

    Anyway, afternoon all!

Well done jps on SOTW :T

Thanks smedley for your lovely encouraging words. I'm sure I've said it before but I've not lost this much on any 'diet' I've done before never mind in the 1st month. I'm amazed every time I step on the scales! Although jps is a bigger loser than me :p (in the weight department obviously ;))

I had no idea grapes weren't a speed food! I've been munching on them all week as well. I knew bananas weren't which is a pain cos they're probably my favourite fruit.

My WI is tomorrow and I'm not going to make last week's mistake and be tempted by our local takeaways, I've made a bolognaise sauce to have with tagliatelle for tea tonight - not sure what veggies I can put on the plate which won't look weird though. Maybe I'll do a side salad that would probably work.

Today is a good day for me whatever the scales say tomorrow. I was able to button up a pair of jeans that previously have never been able to fasten even while lying on the bed. They're still too tight for me to feel comfy in but it feels like progress :D

Have a lovely sunshiney afternoon everyone

Candyapple if you've put loads of veggies in your bolognaise sauce I wouldn't worry too much about extra veg on the plate, although sometimes a salad on a side plate can be OK.

Great to see that you are standing in for maman - bet she will be chuffed to bits you are flying the flag for speed food in her absence :rotfl:

Thanks for the chart shala - it's looking good except for my backward step this week. :(

Interesting article in today's i about it being healthier to have a BMI between 25 -29.
This ties in with what we were talking about the other day.
    It was very interesting reading.

I read this article too. So really my bmi of around 32 isn't too bad after all eh :p :rotfl:

Off to read a few more posts.

When the new books came out a number of fruits weren't on the Speed list: grapes, bananas, mango, blueberries, cherries, kiwis, figs, pineapple and a few more obscure things.

They aren't many syns (1.5) and they cook quicker. I'll find the post about it.
