Has anyone tried slimming world cauliflower cheese
http://www.slimmingworldusa.com/recipes/cheesy-cauliflower.aspx
It calls for 2 tbsp. cornflour, to one cup liquid, only used one and it set like glue, am wondering if it should be teaspoons.Slimming World at target0 -

Glad you were spoiled yesterday b-e-g. But ironing in the wee small hours!!
Paying the price for it now though maman. Just dashing in and I am back out in about 15mins. Menu today has been really naughty in a sense. Started off with a SW cooked brekkie (that was the good bit). For lunch I just grabbed a fruit scone and cuppa and when I have got back neighbour sent a couple of hot cross buns arounds and yes you guessed it - had one with a cuppa. Have planned on lamb steaks and roasted veggies for our meal tonight - but when I get it that will be another thing. The number of times I have refused scones and hot cross buns and then to go and have both in the same day - will someone give me a good kicking please.
Well done losers :T

Hello
Ok to join you all here.
I was on Tamoxifen for 5 years following diagnosis of breast cancer. I stopped taking this 2 months ago and since then put on about a stone in weight :eek:
Dont know if the weight gain is connected to this or just a coincidence. As far as I remember, I did lose a bit of weight when I started the Tamoxifen too in 2009. Got a doggie in 2010 and lost more weight, as take her for walkies for an hour each day, so am baffled why this stone has gone on so quickly.
Anyway, need to shift this stone and more, so here I am:o

Hi Meg
That's an American recipe, and I believe I'm right is saying that cornstarch isn't exactly the same as cornflour so you're probably right to use teaspoons instead.

I've lost 2lbs!!!!:j:T:eek::j:T i'm not sure how to feel :rotfl: it must have been following the 7 day plan in the mag, because there has been a bit of sweet/choc eating this week too...
Well done on all the losses coming in :T:T
Welcome back tazzy  and welcome gocat
Bexta - well done on your weigh in.. how did you find your week?
Matron - how was Olly? I do like him.. he's just like a normal person that's accidentally become famous and can't quite believe it, a bit like James Corden. I agree with maman, post your menus up here and we'll be able to give you better feed back than your consultant.. after my experiment this week, i'd recommend following one of the 7 day plans from the website or the mag
BEG - belated happy anniversary wishes!
Maman - I only have 1 sweet a day..I have it in my afternoon lull period after my afternoon cuppa. The liquorice taste is quite strong so it puts you off eating anything else for an hour..
have a wonderful weekend away x
All - have a wonderful weekend if you are off work or away on hols.. if you're like me and still at work then I hope you have an easy journey in because they'll be less cars on the road :j:rotfl: and an easy day because they'll be loads of people off on holidayMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Evening all
Welcome back tazzyb and welcome gocat
Regarding being surrounded by chocolate, I'm exercising mind-over-matter, having eaten very little of it for the last 5 months I know I can live without it.
I was faced with a dilemma this afternoon - I thought I'd had a good lunch but around 4.30 I had a sudden drop in blood sugar, I went all shaky and my legs turned to jelly.
We were in the middle of sorting out a delivery from the cash and carry, which contained some very tempting things, and I was struggling to think what I could eat (we don't stock enough SW free food, that's something I'll have to rectify!). I decided on wafer thin ham and that kept me going for a while.
Before, I would have had a bar of chocolate.
I've just assembled overnight oats - my first time - and I've got a feeling they're going to need more sweetness. I used 0% fat Yeo valley Greek style yogurt, assuming it's free (?) and frozen summer berries, which I know can be tart. Will report back tomorrow. does anyone add sweetener when they make it?
Did anyone see the Alex Polizzi programme on BBC2 this evening? She was working with the family that make Heck sausages, and I know I've heard them mentioned on this thread. Is that because they're gluten free? Free on sW? I'd like to try some.
I'm now watching the programme on 1 about fat and the presenter just enlightened me to a new coffee option that I wasn't aware of - coffee with added butter! I can't even drink coffee with milk in it!
My sister and brother are both doing low carb, high fat diets as they're diabetic, and they've both lost weight. They can eat Mayo, butter, cream, cheese etc but have to look for alternatives to the traditional meals we all eat.
Food for thought...
Well done to all the losers this week, some great results as usual. :j
Back tomorrow with my first weigh-in for 2 weeks.
