Evening
Thanks for the money saving tips Meg and Smedley. I like Asda but haven't got one near me, so I sometimes have food delivered. It's actually possible to buy products cheaper than I can buy them at the cash and carry when they're on offer and I can buy smaller quantities to extend my range. I also have a 50p rummage box of chocolate bars and sweets (in the shop, not for me!) that are sourced from SM multipacks which are often £1 for 4 bars.
We had an early start today and I decided to have a banana for breakfast and save my HEB for lunch, which was beans and scrambled egg on toast followed by an orange. Dinner was chicken ragout - chicken, onions, chopped tomatoes and peppers, with pasta.
A new battery has been purchased for the scales and I might have to have a sneaky peak in the morning!
Back soon,
LL
P.s. Eta, I've got an appointment for a blood test to check glucose and cholesterol on 24th April so I'm extending my personal mini goal to lose 2 stone to that date. It should be easy to lose 3.5lbs by then, but with my track record on the challenges so far, maybe not!Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -

Just been to see my sister and she gave me my belated Birthday gifts. Her daughter and her decided to find as many gifts in purple as they could for a certain amount of money [she didnt say how much
], I got 20  gifts some meaningful some silly but usable but all PURPLE. Hubby told her I only said this morning how id gone off purple and was into red now. Luckily she knew it was a joke :rotfl:.
Some lovely things including a bag of whispa bites. I love my family :A
I was also given [to try] a pouch of slim rice
Anyone know syns etc? Anyone tried them or the pasta? Holland and Barratt sell them, currently buy 1 get 1 for a penny. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I tried to look this up, but the SW website has changed, I am a bit confused with it. I am not sure if it is listed.
Just in case it isn't:
The SW site has a Syns Calculator, if you supply the nutritional info on the back of the packet, one can work out the Syn value.SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -

Basically all 0 except fibre, 9 cals per 100gThese are syn free, please let us know what they are like, I have been looking at them
If you go on the 20cals = 1 syn I make the whole pouch 1 syn, is that not right then? Whole pouch is free? Also could you eat it on EESP?
As to the taste, don't taste of much but the texture is a bit odd. Sort of jelly like but rubbery, someone suggested like calamari but as I have never eaten that, im not sure. Strange feeling though. Not sure I would get again though. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

The new syns on line says that the Eat Water plain rice in microwaveable pouch is 1 syn.
I like the new version. All you have to do is type in some key words of what you want including the brand and up it comes. So far, so good.
You wouldn't really be able to have it on EESP as that's 50:50 protein and Speed food plus HEXs and syns. I have heard people stretching it and having synned yogurt when free yogurt isn't included but I think SP is meant to be carb free (except for HEB).
:Tselement. Great loss!!
Hope today wasn't too arduous lois and it must be so hard working surrounded by chocolate! Don't forget to keep up your Speed food as today you only had an orange until dinner time. Sorry I'm so bossy.:o
Glad you took a day off lantanna, I'm amazed you didn't stay home from Monday.
I think I must be demob happy. Just because I've told myself I can go off plan from Friday I seem to be snacking which really isn't like me. Tonight it was crisps and chocolate, only a few crisps and a couple of squares of choc but I shouldn't have had them. I'll certainly be doing some reining in after Easter.;) but I doubt I'll be the only one.:rotfl:0 -
Had a lovely anniversary yesterday being spoiled. DH got me some new perfume, 3 dozen roses and a couple of scratchcards (kerrching won £1 :rotfl::rotfl:). We went to cinema to see Marigold Hotel and a bit of retail therapy. Had subway salad with honey and mustard dressing (2ish syns) and then ended up in Ikea and had lamb shank meal for less than £3 each  Shared a pear and almond tart from M&S bakery - found out they were 19 syns each after we had eaten them - thank goodness they were lovely and also shared a small praline bar. PreSW days we would have had a tart each and topped with with either thick double cream or rich vanilla icecream so I suppose this could be seen as progress
Spotted your dress Lantanna - it is beautiful - love the colour. Tried a dress on in Debs today - it was only about £190  Totally OTT for me but I just had to see if I could get into it. Just the the record it was a bit baggy at shoulder blades and neckline. Hope you are feeling better today. Take care of yourselves.
Lovely to have you back in camp tazzy.
Great loss salduck and well done to all other losers :T
Thanks for heads up on Asda veggies offers meg - they are really good. Will try and get in over the weekend to pick some of these up. No excuses now for getting plenty of veggies into us now is there :rotfl: Keep the funnies coming in - they always make me smile.
I think my DS has tried these virtually cal free noodles from Holland and Barrett in the past and he said they were ok but was told they had to be rinsed well and they could have a bit of a 'fishy' taste/smell but if you were having something highly flavoured it would probably disguise it _pale_
Awoke at stupid o'clock this morning and felt fairly alert so thought I would get up and get caught up with everything (drying washing from last night and maybe get the ironing board out) for starters. Will probably regret this early start as the day goes on.
Hope you all have a good one.
