Thanks, maman. I DID behave at lunchtime and chose a mixed meat salad – it had, roast beef, chicken breast, York ham, lettuce, peppers, cucumber, onion, tomatoes, coleslaw & veg salad and I chose baby new potatoes instead of chips. No starter/dessert. Because I had so much meat at lunch time tonight’s hexb sandwich had my hexa cheese and tomato.

Saver, sometimes you just have to go with the flow – then get back on track asap.

Maisie & maman, thanks for footie congrats. I am definitely ungrumpy!

It’s good to see you back, lush.

    Great loss, Tete.

lantanna, your dinner sounds fab. I’m too lazy to do all that – post a doggy bag to me please.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday, Matron; back to auld claes and parritch now.

Well done, b_e_g – and thanks for your commiserations. I even watched DH eat a bar of tablet and didn’t even have an inclination to ask for a nibble!

Denise, that’s horrible about your car. It’s such a miss, but at least no one was hurt.

I like your style, 1stBusiness – you shouldn’t miss out on anything!

    That’s brilliant, spuddy and Maisie!

Congratulations, Greenbeanie, on getting our SOTW.

I like your Hallowe’en suggestion too, maman.

Oh to have a cruise to look forward to – I’m jealous, gbatey!

OK, shala, esteemed keeper of the rolls, I’m in for the challenge again. I’ll try for 9lbs, but with my track record I’d be delighted to lose 3lbs (the 2lbs I put on this time and 1lb more!). I must do better.

Oooh, how lovely where are you going?

I think you made a huge improvement on Speed tete. Well done!:)

I'm glad you like my suggestion for the new challenge. Do you think we should make it 'Get Lean for Halloween - with Slimming World' so that anyone seeing it on the forum will know it's SW?

You're doing really well at the moment greentiger, both keeping to your syn bank and your team.:)

I'm feeling a bit fat tonight which is odd as I've been on plan all day. Strange how weight fluctuates across a week/day:(.

We're doing the Canary Islands this time maman; fingers crossed weather stays good!

    Hello hello!
Sorry I've been quiet, full of busy now it's pre-season.
Not had a good week- been eating all sorts of rubbish. A pizza and 2 rock cakes last night along with a grab bag of Walkers cheese and onion and two Kopparburg alcohol frees at my fibro support group meeting have seriously upset my tummy! I had every intention of just crying off this week but my rugby team are playing on Friday and I'm staying over due to transport problems, so I've located a group reasonably near my hotel in Notts and I'm going to weigh in there. I don't think my consultant is amused that I'm not going to her group two weeks in a row (I'm at the season launch for the rugby next Wednesday night, she runs another group on a Monday but if I'm weighing Friday there's not a hope I'm weighing on Monday!) so I'm going to another group local to me on Thursday. Now pre season has started and uni is starting soon plus I'm doing a GCSE one day a week I will be busy and I could so easily just not bother, but she's getting arsey because I can't go to her group every Wednesday without fail! I am trying..! Not getting any support at all from her either, not even a text to ask how it's going, she just assumes I don't need support I think because I've done it before which is why I keep falling off of the wagon!
Don't mind my moans everyone haha. I've had a really good day today food wise. The bank gave me a tenner earlier as I complained about something so I got myself down to Aldi and bought some lovely things. I have sinusitis and have had a stinking headache all day- Dr's for me tomorrow- and I so easily could have been naughty but I have two days and I know I can pull something back: I don't really want to go to an unfamiliar group with a gain: although a maintain would be fine a loss would be even better even if it were only 1/2 a lb :)
    Today's menu:
B: Cherry bakewell green tea (1/2 hour before breakfast) breakfast was HEXB 2 x Alpen Light Jaffa Cake bars, 2 flat peaches and 1/4 lite of sparkling water.
L: Mixed salad, tin of Aldi BeLight Coronation Tuna (1 syn) Ham. Strawberries, Muller coconut Greek Style (1/2 syn) teaspoon Choc Shot (1/2 syn) bottle of NAS flavoured water
T: Chicken in tomato and basil sauce (1 syn) mixed veg. Watermelon wedges. 2 pints NAS Ribena with sparkling water
S: Cup of tea, Curly Wurly (6 syns)
    Syns: 9
Body Magic: 1/2 hour brisk walk (will likely regret in morning, legs are killing me!)
Hope all ok with everyone xx ps lost 2lbs in first week :)

That sounds lovely. I've not been myself but weather is good for most of the year I believe.

Cyprus sounds good too midge. Good idea that you have a week until next WI then you can see off any holiday gain.

Tomorrow I must eat up a melon that I can smell ripening in the kitchen. Pub meal tomorrow evening. Food may be OK but definitely wine syns and hopefully something to celebrate. Unlikely though as our best two remaining players haven't flown with the team probably so vultures from other clubs can buy them.:(

Glad you enjoyed your lasagne b-e-g. I was thinking I could make a hash with a tin of stewed steak. Must experiment but the Austrian hash is definitely on next week's menu.

Can't believe I was up at 5am today! Absolutely no need to be up so early as not going to Group, although a neighbour is giving me a lift into town to get a few last minute bits for holiday later this morning. Good job I only need a couple of things as coming back on the bus and have a 15 minute walk up an unmade road to get home from the bus stop:(.

    Another EE day today:

    B - bacon, egg & baked beans
L - LO lamb kebab, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, HM garlic sauce & chilli sauce (already synned) in a Warburton's WM Thin
D - sausage campfire stew - got the recipe online - bit like a hash using sausages. Not sure of syns as using different sausages to usual but think 5 syns:eek: (lots more than my usual butcher sausages at 0.5!)

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - WM Thin

I know I'm short on Speed today, particularly breakfast - no mushrooms left and I don't eat cooked tomatoes.

Lunch & dinner both have a reasonable amount of Speed though but don't think it's 1/3!

beg - thanks for the recipe for Austrian Ham Hash, have copied and saved it into my recipe folder to add into my menu plan after holiday. Love hash style meals so easy and only one pot to wash up!

    Denise
  • beg the Austrian Hash sounds good, I think I shall be giving it a go.

lantanna that tea sounds gorgeous, definitely one to try I think. At the moment I'm enjoying maple and pecan ground coffee which is from an independent coffee maker and it's amazing :D

When do we need to go over to the new thread?

I would like to set myself a target of 14 lbs please

I'm not sure where this weeks weigh in should but I've had a loss of
    4lbs off this week

im delighted although not sure how I've managed given the chips and banoffee pie I've had, anyway, who am I to question why :D
