Glad your hubby is OK Denise, that must have been a shock!

Thanks for the pointers Maman, I knew really about the Speed stuff but am miffed about the bread as I completely misread it and would have happily just had one slice

Off for a run now but will update later :)

That's infuriating about the car denise. Hope it gets sorted soon. We had a deer jump out at us a few weeks back causing more damage to car than himself. Fortunately we had a courtesy car but DH felt like Noddy in a Fiat 500 when we're used to something much bigger. I've swapped my car with DD1 for a couple of days as she's gone on a short break and mine's more comfortable. But I'll be worrying until she's home safe and sound.

Checked the squsah BTW and it is made with grapefruit juice concentrate. Not much in this one but will by High Juice next time as that's 50%.

Like the sound of your dinner lantanna. I'm like you and I rarely make any of the dishes in the magazines but I do like reading them. One thing about this thread is that we get to read reviews of some of the recipes as people try them so sometimes tempted to try.

I think your achievement this challenge has been getting back to fitness after the op:T. next challenge you can focus on
    healthy eating and weightloss.

Tomorrow I'm going to an Open House at a friend's to celebrate their anniversary. There'll be an afternoon tea type buffet so probably very naughty. I'm hoping to have lunch first and eat a minimum to be polite. Then Thursday evening it's a pub meal so need to be very good today.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast
L: mix of potatoes, cold meat, LO veg and pickles
D: chicken jambalaya (rice with peppers, onion, garlic, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, peas)
Syns: scrape of spread and maybe a couple of squares of chocolate

Got the BGTY quarterpounders and the lamb TTD quarterpounders ones and also the Sainsbury chicken quarterpounders which are 2 syns each (much better than BE which are 14 syns each:eek:).

Not something I would have all the time but handy for quick meals with a salad if I am in a rush or coming back from SW and eating separately from the rest of the family.

well done on the loss and on seeing the 12's :T

Not feeling great for a loss tonight as it is TOTM and I feel really bloated. I've eaten ice cream sundae's Sunday and Monday for pud and I don't even like ice cream!!!! Those blasted sugar cravings:mad: Never mind always a bigger loss next week.

Fingers crossed for tonight's wi Maisie.

Won't be going to WI after all this week as a car went into the back of ours when DH was driving home so can't get to group (DH is OK as is the other driver). So that means 4 weeks of no WI!

So pleased DH is ok Denise.

Will the mag be out in he shops next week then?? I do enjoy getting a new mag, even if I never make anything out of it. :rotfl: I just like to look lol.

Well done on the loss BEG just take it, don't question it. :T

Also did a 20 minute Kettlebell Workout. With the sweat lashing off me! Used to have a channel on Sky called Fab TV and they used to have exercise programmes on it. That's where the Kettlebell one is from. Went looking for it last night to tape some more and it seems to have disappeared.

Trying to mix up the exercise cardio and weights, tonight its gym for 45 / 60 mins on the treadmill.

I do enjoy a Monday night in the house so I'm committing to doing weights in the house on a Monday night. Got lots of housework and more decluttering done too. Win Win!

Not sure when the magazine will be in the shops lantanna. But you will like this one as it comes with a free little book. :rotfl: I have still got last month's mag to look at yet, but in my defence I only got it last week :D

So proud of you for the way you are managing all that exercise. I'm exhausted just reading what you've been up to let alone doing it  Don't worry about this challenge - the new one will be starting before we know it and hopefully it will get you on your way to where you want to be ;). Well done with that decluttering. My DH thinks I am a bit strange as I always say I find it quite theraputic :rotfl: He just doesn't understand.

DH has been finishing off the emulsioning in the hall and landing this morning. Tomorrow is gloss work hopefully and fortunately I will be out - don't do gloss work :rotfl: So hopefully a few days after that we will be sorting new carpet for stairs and landing (wooden flooring in hallway) :D

We have sunshine atm so I am hoping to cut our front lawns (and neighbours) before the rain arrives around tea-time. Quick lunch is going to be pkt Pasta n Sauce shared with DH with lots of extra
veggies and probably fruit for afters. Tea tonight is going to be SW Austrian Ham and Potato Hash.

Well! Popped into school yesterday to do resources, got a lot done but was a big mistake as had sleepless night stressing. To cap it all I have a huge bruise from walking into a table and that's without the kids being in :rotfl:. Bodes well for next week then :o
This weeks WI will see if I've managed to keep within my last wi when we broke up, fingers crossed :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

1stBusiness, like you I couldn’t get to a class and I was an online member for over a year until I found this group. All I used it for was to record weight and look up syns and that could be a bit of a faff sometimes! This forum gives tons of support and great advice – and a lot more besides. I can find syns online from other groups – syns allowed does a lot of good stuff. So no, I don’t think it’s worth the money. I did find the magazine a good source of inspiration and I still use a lot of the recipes (I no longer buy it, though).

Thanks for the advice greentiger :) I decided to purchase the Silver online membership so I will get the SW magazines as well. I've also joined every SW social media group I can think of (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) :o
1stBusiness - Sounds like the online diary is easier to use than I thought. I'll probably stick to pen and paper for now though as it seems silly replicating it (and they advise you to keep a pen and paper diary for your first week anyway). I had a look on ebay and it made me smile how they can't use the SW TMs so they have little devil horns for the syns, etc. I've just got myself a nice bright orange plain notebook.

I think I'm gunna use pen and paper and just put it all in online at the end of the day. I like to write it down so I can get it into my head what I'm eating.

Had a bit of a wobbly start today as I used Oatibix instead of Weetabix for my HExB  I didn't realise they are syned differently.

    Breakfast - Oatibix (HExB)
    Skimmed milk (HExA)
    Tea

Lunch - 1 Mugshot with chicken
    Muller light toffee
    Apple snack pack

Dinner - Jacket potato, beans and salad, butter (2 syns)

Snacks - Banana, Nature Valley Sweet & Nutty bar (7.5 syns)

Drinks - Water, Coke Zero, NAS squash, Tea

That's it Maman, at least I'm back exercising which is an achievement as for ages I couldn't. :D Hopefully I will see the lbs start to drop off in the next challenge. Nothing like a new challenge to motivate you as well.

Your dinner sounds nice BEG I like any sort of hash.
I love decluttering. I'd nearly throw everything out and start again. It is totally therapeutic!

Just after talking about gyms and diets to our Male Cleaner, he says the same as me he needs to get his weight down for xmas :rotfl:to make room for the Christmas gain.

Think I'm having steak tonight, with onions, mushrooms, LO Green Beans, Brussel Sprouts and a wee bit of Chorizo mixed through them. :D I'd forgotten how much I liked veg done on the George Foreman so hopefully that will encourage me.

Ooooohhh you have just reminded me lantanna - I haven't had a brussel sprout for such a long time (DH has just paled in front of me at the very mention of them) :rotfl:. Another thing to add to Friday's list. ;) Prefer little button ones and if I get frozen I can just take out enough for me at meal times. DH will have a token couple on his Christmas Dinner plate just as it's Christmas :rotfl: I remember a while back there were mentions here of sprout sarnies :rotfl:

Well done Spuddysue!! That's great news. You should ask for your certificate next week.

There was an awful lot of talk of sprouts on here at one stage :rotfl:BEG. I do like them but forget about them and then take a real notion and eat them for weeks. I have to be careful with them though and not overdose as they can have laxative effects.
  • Sorry to jump in...

I'm looking at doing SW online but the MSE in me would like to know if there are any discount codes around :-D

    Thanks!
