Ha ha, maman, go to Swansea and see ex Falkirk players – Jay Fulton, Stephen Kingsley and Botti Biabi (2 taken last year and 1 last week!) . You might have to wait a bit because they are young, but the first two played every week for us and we still miss them. Lost our top scorer at end of season too, so I know how you feel.

1stBusiness, like you I couldn’t get to a class and I was an online member for over a year until I found this group. All I used it for was to record weight and look up syns and that could be a bit of a faff sometimes! This forum gives tons of support and great advice – and a lot more besides. I can find syns online from other groups – syns allowed does a lot of good stuff. So no, I don’t think it’s worth the money. I did find the magazine a good source of inspiration and I still use a lot of the recipes (I no longer buy it, though).

Your kitchen is looking good, tweets.

    Well done, jps.

Well, I’m disappointed to report STS, this week. Is it next week the new challenge starts, shala?

    Monday's Syns: 6
    Syns left in bank: 99

    Tuesday
Breakfast: mackerel on toast (4 syns – still soft granary; will make do with 1 slice), melon
Lunch: Batchelor’s Pasta ‘n’ Sauce, too lazy to get up and check variety, Milbona fat free Greek style strawberry yogurt, strawberries
Dinner: chilli & rice and green beans
Snacks: 25g wine gums at match (4 syns), chocolate digestive (4 syns), some sort of hexa & b combo

    Night all.

  • 1stBusiness - Sounds like the online diary is easier to use than I thought. I'll probably stick to pen and paper for now though as it seems silly replicating it (and they advise you to keep a pen and paper diary for your first week anyway). I had a look on ebay and it made me smile how they can't use the SW TMs so they have little devil horns for the syns, etc. I've just got myself a nice bright orange plain notebook.

That is a lovely looking kitchen and a pampered pooch by the looks of it! :)

Right, here goes, how does this look?:

    Monday:
B - Coffee, banana, and Vanilla Mullerlight
L - Good Food Red lentil, chilli and chickpea soup - I replaced the olive oil with Frylight and didn't use yoghurt so it's FREE by my reckoning?
T - 2 x Heck chicken sausages, boiled potatoes, and garden peas
Drinks - coffee x3, NAS cordial, herbal tea, Cadbury's Highlights.

HEX-A - Milk used in coffees (measured out this morning)
HEX-B - 2 x dry wholemeal bread with my soup
Syns - 3 x sugar in coffee, 2 in Cadbury's Highlights hot chocolate, 1 in the sausages and 4 in the Flora on my potatoes = 10 altogether.

How does this look? I know I need to work on the 1/3 Speed aspect ... I will be more concise in future, just checking I'm doing it right :o

Well done jpscloud on your loss!

    b e g~~hope you get a 12 :)
    Enjoy your curry.

Thanks beanie. :D:D:D I got 2 x 12's - I weighed in at 12st 12.5lb which resulted in a 1.5lb loss this week Shala. Wasn't quite expecting that - always get weighed before class and I have always been within 0.5lb. Tonight we had a different consultant and I suspect she brought her own scales - so we will just have to see what happens next week. :D

Just for the record beanie the curry was absolutely delish. Not particularly SW friendly as it contained coconut milk of the non-light variety but hey ho it is weigh-in night ;)

    Have a good week everyone.

Reporting a loss of 1.5lbs this week, and taking a holiday next week (holiday from SW not going on holiday!) then back to it with a vengeance when we start school again.

Well done jps :T - we are 1.5lb twins :rotfl: Enjoy your little SW break. :D

Sorry you have had a sts greentiger - hopefully you will be rewarded for your hard work next week.

The new magazine is out this week and there is a little free book with it - Food to Feel Good About - 25 irresistible recipes without a side order of guilt. There is also a new cookbook out soon - The Best of EE Meals (or something like that) and its £6ish. This could be available beginning of September. Also new coupons for the SW Ready Meals - buy 4 get one free.

Off now to update my result at SW online :D

Seems 1.5lbs is the loss to have tonight! Well done b-e-g and jps.:T:T

Our consultant couldn't give them away last week. No one at our group seems very enamoured with the meals.

I've not checked your syns but hopefully OK and bread from small loaf.

You're absolutely right about the need for Speed food. The plan really won't work without it. I reckon all you've had today are the tomatoes and onion in your soup. Peas and bananas aren't Speed food.

So, you need a few tweaks like different fruit with your yogurt at breakfast. Frozen red berries are tasty or something as simple as a chopped apple. Lunch would have been fine. It actually works as a EESP meal. For dinner just different vegetables to peas so green beans or carrots or anything Speed.

You'll soon get the hang of the plan, and soon get used to me nagging on about Speed food!:o

I've got a couple of off plan meals coming up later in the week so will be angelic tomorrow:).

Will definitely be adding the lamb ones to my trolley on Friday. I know there are the BGTY Quarterpounders, which other ones did you buy Maisie?

    b_e_g
Got the BGTY quarterpounders and the lamb TTD quarterpounders ones and also the Sainsbury chicken quarterpounders which are 2 syns each (much better than BE which are 14 syns each:eek:).

Not something I would have all the time but handy for quick meals with a salad if I am in a rush or coming back from SW and eating separately from the rest of the family.

well done on the loss and on seeing the 12's :T

Well done on the loss jpscloud

    Love the kitchen tweets

Not feeling great for a loss tonight as it is TOTM and I feel really bloated. I've eaten ice cream sundae's Sunday and Monday for pud and I don't even like ice cream!!!! Those blasted sugar cravings:mad: Never mind always a bigger loss next week.

Weather looking OK this morning after yesterday's horrendous rain all day, although forecast to rain again lunchtime!Have put a load of washing on the line and have another load in the machine. Hoping to get it at least partially dry on the line as seem to have quite a bit to do before going on holiday!

    Having another EE day today:

    B - mushroom omlette
    L - LO chilli & rice
D - SC lamb kebab in WM pitta bread - chinese leaves, onions, tomatoes, cucumber. Thinking about making a chilli sauce to go with it!

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - Small WM pitta

No syns planned at the moment.

Won't be going to WI after all this week as a car went into the back of ours when DH was driving home so can't get to group (DH is OK as is the other driver). So that means 4 weeks of no WI!

Will the mag be out in he shops next week then?? I do enjoy getting a new mag, even if I never make anything out of it. :rotfl: I just like to look lol.

Well done on the loss BEG just take it, don't question it. :T

Can't believe this week is the end of the challenge. I've got nowhere, hopefully the next one will be better for those of us who are finding it hard to get anywhere at the minute. I know it takes a while after an operation etc for your body to recover but this is ridiculous!! Stop holding on to the fat lol I am no longer under attack!!

Had a lovely if not strange dinner last night. 3 Slices of Bacon, 2 BGTY Sausage, Onion, Mushroom and Green Beans all done in the George Foreman with a side of reduced Sugar & Salt Beans. Yum! I got the Sainsburys little tins and decided I prefer them to Heinz.

Also did a 20 minute Kettlebell Workout. With the sweat lashing off me! Used to have a channel on Sky called Fab TV and they used to have exercise programmes on it. That's where the Kettlebell one is from. Went looking for it last night to tape some more and it seems to have disappeared.

Trying to mix up the exercise cardio and weights, tonight its gym for 45 / 60 mins on the treadmill.

I do enjoy a Monday night in the house so I'm committing to doing weights in the house on a Monday night. Got lots of housework and more decluttering done too. Win Win!
