Hi Everyone
I'm sure this question must have been asked a million and one times, but is anyone a SW member online? Is it worth the money (£60 for 3 months)?
I used to go to the groups and I have the latest books, but there isn't really a group near me that I can get to. My weight has got out of control recently and I need to get back into the diet. My parent's have a 30th wedding anniversary party coming up in Nov and I'd like to have lost some weight by then.

True that!
I have another question! (You're all going to hate me by the end of the week).
For your HEs - Can you mix and match? e.g. Instead of 250ml milk OR 40g cheese - have 125ml milk AND 20g cheese? Or would that be too good to be true? A bit of a google suggests people do do it - do you lot? Thanks!

Morning...
BEG - how lovely, happy new baby boy to the family.. :T
How's your sister lantanna? is everything ok now, baby doing well?
Hi 1stbusiness  - think Tete has just joined online so she may be able to give you a good opinion. I don't think you get much support, so if you're the sort of person who needs support then class is probably better. If that doesn't suit you though you can join us here, there's always someone around to give you a kick up the bum/encourage you/commiserate with you
Well my day went to pot yesterday but today is a new day - just popped to Waitr0se to get some milk and "treated" myself to a coconut muller light. When I got it home I saw it had a big reduced sticker on it so I saved 19p whole pence too.. Living the dream:rotfl:
BTW if anyone has the Dorset muesli/granola, Waitr0se has a great offer at the minute - buy one, get one half price - so it works out at £2 a packet (still expensive I know but it last me weeks as I only have a sprinkle on my yogurt) it's the best price I've seen it.
So my menu for today EE
Brunch - 2 Weetabix (heb) milk (hea)
Tea - chicken, roasted veg (BNS, sweet potato, onions, peppers, carrots), salad and pickles
Sancks - nectarine, apple
Low syns for me until Thursday to try and minimise damageMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

I mix and match, I only have 2-3 cups of tea a day so maximum milk I use is 150ml so I would class that as half my HEA, then have a bit of cheese.
I'm not sure whether it splits on your online diary though, so you'd have to remember that you've split it rather than record it.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi 1stBusiness, sorry I didn't see your post before mine. Yes I've just (yesterday) joined online for £60 and TBH I'm not that impressed - I was expecting a food diary where you'd input what you'd eaten/were planning to eat and it would do all the calculations for you, telling you what's free, how many syns in total, etc (like the WW or MyFitnessPal ones) but as far as I can see you have to input what you eat under the headings of 'free', 'HE', 'Syns' - so you have to work out yourself what goes where before adding it IYSWIM?
I don't find the site particularly user friendly and will probably record my meals on paper instead, so I can't really see myself renewing once I've got the hang of it. Not now I've printed off the 'rules' and ordered a few of the books anyway! There's no forum either as far as I can see.
I'm using this thread as my support group but wouldn't rule out joining a local one if I start to plateau or lose heart. Hope that helps!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Perfect - that's me exactly! I measured out 250ml this morning and there's no way I'd use all of that unless I was having cereal. As you can see from my post above, I won't be using the online diary
What do group members use to record what they're eating? Pen and paper? I can feel a spot of notebook shopping coming on (stationery fetishist here :hello:)

I don't find the online diary that helpful either.. I'm a paper/pen kinda person!
I love a good notebookI had a doodle diary from the Works but it doesn't have enough room to write everything in, so I just use a normal notepad split into sections..
I think Beanie or Meg bought a SW note pad from Ebay that people have made.. might be worth a look..
My notebook is only has 10 pages or so left so I might have to have a look too  research purposes only obviously..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Tete en l'aire - it's quite easy to use the online food diary; if you input your food under "Syns" it'll come up as Free if it is and put it in the right place. If you input wholemeal bread, find the one you want and if you haven't already input an HEB it will put it under HE.
If you want to split your HEA and have some milk and some cheese as long as you split it evenly you can input it on the diary by putting one or other under HEA and then under Free food using the "Add Your Own" tab and just type it in the box then "- 0.5 HEA".
By the way, I should have welcomed you first so ":hello:".

Decided my previous post was getting a bit long so back again with today's menu plan:
Having an EE day:
B - SW fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms & beans
L - Tuna mayo & cucumber sandwich - HEB + 0.5
D - HM chilli & rice
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread
Syns - mayo 0.5
Need to keep syns very, very low as had way too many at the weekend! Met up with friends and had a very enjoyable evening with lots of alcohol! Totted up syns this morning and only have 10.5 to last until WI on Thursday!
That will be my last WI until the last week of September.

I agree with that. I often visit the site or get my book out before I answer questions which helps me no end.
Garlic bread was OK lantanna but won't worry if I don't have any more for ages. You're not missing much.;)
Weather's absolutely revolting here, tipping down with rain.:o
My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: probably LO chicken and veg although not feeling hungry yetstuffed courgettes with savoury mince, new potatoes and runner beans
Syns: scrape of spread0
