Today has been mostly off plan 018.gif.

Breakfast: bacon, eggs, tomato, baked beans. The theory was that if I had a good brekky before going out with a friend for the day,I would stick to the fruit I had bought with me for my lunch

Lunch: panini with cheese, tomato, red onion icon_rolleyes.gif

Tea: all you can eat meal.Had bits of this, bits of that....and do you know, alot of it I didn't really enjoy .We have eaten here before.I don't know if SW means my tastes are adjusting to the point I just don't enjoy lots of fatty/sweet/gluttonous fests anymore,or whether the food really wasn't as nice as it has been previously (busy with hols, etc. My OH also commented on how parts of his meal wasn't up the the usual standard.).At one point I found myself wondering what lovely meal I would have cooked myself if we had been at home!

At home, still fancied my Hifi bars with cup of tea (HEB).

shala_moo thank you for the chart.
Here is the recipe for cookie in a cup.I am not sure why it is called a cookie as opposed to a cake, because it doesn't go crunchy like a biscuit-it is more cakey (I was wondering about this tonight as we ate our AYCE meal :rotfl:).The one time last week I asked the kids to make me one,I specifically requested it be slighly undercooked,so it came out lovely and warm and gooey.Yum yum!!

1 tab butter (we use Flora light)
    1 tab white sugar
1 tab dark soft brown sugar
    pinch salt
    1 egg yolk
    3 tabs plain flour
    choc chips

Melt butter, stir in 2 types of sugar and salt.
    Stir in egg yolk
    Stir in flour
    add choc chips

Heat in microwave (ours is a 750watt) for 40 sec to cook,or only 30 if you want a cupful of gooey heaven :o.

OH has booked a last-minute long weekend away, leaving after work tomorrow .There is nothing like short notice, and this is absolutely nothing like short notice.Much!I have only started washing our clothes to go away about an hour ago!!We are both working tomorrow,so not sure when we are going to get ready to go :o.
We will be camping, basic facilities,so my plan is to survive on bacon, eggs, baked beans, fruit and bbq's.There will also, apparently,be lots of hiking,so lots of BM right there. The weather had better br good..........

    Todays menu
    B Yoghurt, nectarine grapes cherries
    Banana
L Stew (made with stewed steak, peppers carrots onions plus bag casserole veg...Go me!)
    D Mashed potato (no butter)
    carrots
    chicken breast
Possibly portion packet pepper sauce if I can find syns..if not regular gravy.
Only 4 syns total if I have gravy yes?

That's not a bad list of Speed food for today sue. Personally I rarely eat free fruit (like cherries, grapes and bananas) seems a waste of a Speed opportunity. You could have a fair amount of gravy (from granules) for 4 syns and pepper sauce depends on the brand. Schwartz is about 4 for a sachet but some can be much higher. Why so few syns planned into your day?

Sorry for the late response but it has been manic here the last week. Finally catching up on sleep after 18+ hour days since Wednesday. For my WI last Thursday 13th I had loss 1 lb. This week is star week and my clothes know it but hoping the scales will hold.
I am heading to the UK on this Thurs night so I am hoping to be careful up to that as I know there will be plenty of naughty food to tempt me.
:T on your loss. There are good foods in the UK, depends who you mix with! Have a good trip.:)

Just back from football – raging. Lost a 2 goal lead to a team in the league below and finished up losing 5-3! And one (part time) guy scored all 5 goals for them! 25g wine gums (4 gums/4 syns) is nowhere near sufficient to provide comfort! However, I have refused to give in to anything else – I’ll just be grumpy instead. Grrrrrr!!

    Still grumpy!

Oh dear. How dreadful to throw away a lead.:( but well done for not comfort eating:D.

Thanks for the Asda sausages tip lois. I don't go there often but will pop in and give them a try. I can't find them on syns online.

Glad you found some clothes to suit b-e-g.

    Hiya

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done JPScloud for SOTW :j

Greentiger - if you want a decent pork sausage try Asda low fat Cumberland sausages, they're really good and only half a syn each.

I quite fancy taking up colouring too, but wasn't sure what to use - do you colourers use pencils or felt tips? Sharpies are on offer at Asda too and I did consider buying some. I've got some colouring books in the shop, they're intended for children but there are some nice pictures of pets and flowers, I quite fancy having a go. The box they arrived in has Morrisons printed on it so I imagine you could find them there! I've been busy knitting though so haven't had a lot of time for other things.

    Night night!

    LL :)

Sorry but I think you will find the sausages are 1.1/2 syns.

Well done JPS on SOTW - great result.

Glad to managed to find some clothes in the Sainsbug sale! Our local Sainsbugs is only small and has a very limited range of clothes, most of which is kids. The only ladies stuff they seem to do is undies & t-shirts.

Today's plan is for a Red day:

    B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich
L - egg salad - chinese leaves; cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, cornichons, spring onions
D - HM KFC chicken, corn on cob & jacket potato
    S - Ryvita & cheese

HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - jacket potato

    Syns: butter on Ryvita 4

Realised while I was cooking my bacon & mushrooms that I'd put down 3 HEBs and also corn on the cob, which of course isn't Free on Red days.

So a slight rejig and it will now be an EE day:

    B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich (HEB + 3 [2 for butter; 1 for brown sauce]_
    L - egg salad - as above
D - As above but jacket will now be chips (the same as DH) but will also add baked beans! Will have some fruit with FF yoghurt for pudding to incorporate some Speed!

Sadly, there will be no Supper so no Ryvita & cheese this evening:(.

Thanks for the sausage info, Lois. Sounds like I’ll have to make a trip to Asda sometime. Nearest town has Lidl and Coop only. Even if they are 1½ syns each, I could have 2 instead of 3 BGTY ones. Would be worth it if they are tasty. I do like the LMcC roro ones, but I like a change from time to time.

I prefer to colour with pencils. I have watercolour pencils too, so I think I might try them out soon.

    Enjoy your weekend, Saver.

There’s a groupon offer (Birmingham site – no idea why I get that selection as well as Glasgow) for an online Hypnotherapy course for weight management. It’s £16 (allegedly down from £180, hmmm). I’ve decided to give it a go. I don’t go to class, so it’s the equivalent of about 3 of them; I can justify the gullability that way.

    I am still grumpy!

I went to one of those about 4 years ago. It worked with me for about 2 weeks and then I forgot about it. At the time I was looking for a quick fix so I wasn't really into it. I kept on eating the same foods hoping to just eat less of them and lose weight. Good luck with it. It hope you get all you want out of it. Let us know how it goes!
