Shala hugs re your shopping trip. It's horrible when you are looking for clothes and you don't like anything/nothing likes you. I call it changing room syndrome - makes everything look yucky lol. Well done on your willpower though for your dinner.

Spuddysue congrats on the loss. Stick with it could be just your body adjusting.

Well done on the trying on session beg. Sounds like you have a couple of nice things to get later in the week.

Well amazingly I had a sts tonight. I really don't know how that happened as I have been awful this weekend but I am trying for 2lbs next week so I need to get in the zone.

Off to do some menu planning.
  • Maman- Well done on resisting the cupcake I went out with my friend at the weekend and she had an ice cream sundae and I didn’t but it did take a lot of will power
Spuddysue- I can understand that you want to lose more. I am never satisfied with my weight loss something I am trying to do differently this time. Remember if your lost 1lb a week for a year you would lose nearly 4 stone in a year.
I have lost 1.5 this week so 6lb in first two weeks so aim for next week to get my half stone award.
My plan for tea tonight was pulled pork however I only looked at the recipe this afternoon and it said 8-12 hours to cook. So plan b came in and had steak with salad and jackets I am making pulled pork for tomorrow’s tea.
I have also made the pineapple and kiwi ice lollys that are on the last page of the current sw magazine they are syn free and are really tasty something good to eat in the evening when I usually crave something sweet. Very pleasantly surprised.

I don't know if there are lots of people on holiday but there seems to be lots of results missing, I've took off everyone who hasn't checked in for a while so if I've accidently deleted you then let me know and i'll pop you back on!

Sorry for the late response but it has been manic here the last week. Finally catching up on sleep after 18+ hour days since Wednesday. For my WI last Thursday 13th I had loss 1 lb. This week is star week and my clothes know it but hoping the scales will hold.
I am heading to the UK on this Thurs night so I am hoping to be careful up to that as I know there will be plenty of naughty food to tempt me.

Oh I bought them Maisie while I was there today as I reckoned it would cost more in extra petrol to go back again later in the week than I would save with DS's discount. :D

shala, I always at least give my peeled potatoes a good rinse in cold water to get rid of starch before I cook them, even if I’m just boiling them – and I par boil and cool/air dry them before I make chips or wedges. It’s just what my mum did. I like your approach to cooking – I’m always looking for shortcuts!

Well done b_e_g, spuddy, LordDuke, dillon and Saver.

I’m another colouring book fan! I got a little square one from Watersones that I can pop in my bag for odd moments.

Congratulations on being SOTW, jps. Thank you for keeping the chart, shala.

Just back from football – raging. Lost a 2 goal lead to a team in the league below and finished up losing 5-3! And one (part time) guy scored all 5 goals for them! 25g wine gums (4 gums/4 syns) is nowhere near sufficient to provide comfort! However, I have refused to give in to anything else – I’ll just be grumpy instead. Grrrrrr!!

Other syns today were spent on 3 BGTY sausages (3 syns) - not as good as Linda McC’s roro ones, a wee bit hm bread (3 syns – I had a wee hexb wholemeal roll with lunchtime soup) and the planned choc digestive (4 syns) = 14 syns

    Wednesday
Breakfast: hexb toast, hexa Philly lightest, cherries
Lunch: prawn mayo jacket (1 syn), salad stuff, Shape 0% fat yogurt
Dinner: going to a sizzling pub, hoping to get steak & chicken combo with JP and salad (free I believe)
Snacks: slice WW cake (4 syns), Walker’s French Fries (4 syns), more fruit

    Still grumpy!

    Hiya

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done JPScloud for SOTW :j

Greentiger - if you want a decent pork sausage try Asda low fat Cumberland sausages, they're really good and only half a syn each.

I quite fancy taking up colouring too, but wasn't sure what to use - do you colourers use pencils or felt tips? Sharpies are on offer at Asda too and I did consider buying some. I've got some colouring books in the shop, they're intended for children but there are some nice pictures of pets and flowers, I quite fancy having a go. The box they arrived in has Morrisons printed on it so I imagine you could find them there! I've been busy knitting though so haven't had a lot of time for other things.

    Night night!

There are only 2 weeks left of the current challenge, but I'm sure you could join in the next one if Shala is happy to do it again.
