Shame you haven't got those Sainsbury's one syn burgers in your local store, that would save a lot of work. I had them tonight and they're yummy! Salad is a good side with burgers (I suppose others could have a bun?) but we generally have mushrooms, fried onions and tomatoes. Hope the meet up goes well with the lad.:)
Had planned on putting burgers in wholemeal buns and I can guarantee that mushrooms, onions and toms will be making an appearance. DH blitzes mushrooms in the burgers too to keep them lovely and moist. I think DS has probably told the young lad that I am a dragon - me never :rotfl:I've just been trying to 'remove all visible fat' from a joint of pork. What a faff!!! Planning to try the SW pulled pork recipe later so thought I'd do some prep as it takes an age to cook. Feeling very cross with Tesco at the moment. If they hadn't changed the recipe I could be just shoving theirs in the oven.
We have picked up a couple of pork joints from Morries today - leg joints on offer at £2/kg - decent sized (around £4) and quite lean too except a bit of fatty stuff (pork crackling):shhh: on the outside. Enjoy your pulled pork maman

Sorry to hear about 'The Man' meg - his loss and sounds as though you are well shot. Hope you and your family enjoy all of the birthday celebrations.
Hope your pains and aches ease soon Lois.
Have been 'volunteered' to attend a meeting this week and have been told that food will be provided - the fools though this would entice me to go. I was told that there will be lovely corned beef pies/mince pies/scones etc - all freshly homemade - as if I would be interested in any of that stuff:rotfl:
Would love to see the number 12 appear on the scales at wi on Monday night but will need something of a miracle to happen I think despite being such a good girl.
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Hello All
Started off with a good day today however this evening if slightly iffy. Was going out with my friend tonight for tea to Frankie and bennys so looked on the slimming world website and planned what I was going to have only to find that they have changed the menu and the item I had planned to get was no longer on the menu :-( So I had too look at the menu I found a gammon steak on the menu with maple glaze (I couldn't taste any maple when I got it tho) which looked the best possible item and ordered it with salad and jacket hopefully not too much damage hopefully extra good tomorrow.
How many syns would you put for a maple glazed gammon? would be nice to know peoples thoughts.Slimming world Journey 2 stone 9.5lb loss:T0 -
Thanks for all the holiday good wishes – it was so fab I didn’t have time to eavesdrop, so I’ll be a while catching up, but I am back – and scared to step on scales on Monday!
Saw your team had a disappointing result today, maman. I stepped off the plane just after 1 pm and went straight through to watch Falkirk beat Raith Rovers. I did miss the kick off and I did notice the slight change in temperature from 38˚C to 15˚C (didn’t have any warmer clothes and wore a shirt as a jacket over my t shirt!).
Well done Everyone who has lost weight this week.
O, Saver-upper, I remember that “It’s all right for you, having 7 weeks of holidays; I only get 2!”. My tongue got very sore from biting it. It’s paired with “It’s a nice easy day for you today”, when going on the school trip.
Love the charcoal idea. Sandhy!
1940sGal, I always surprise myself when I remember DH proposed 6 weeks after we met. I accepted right away and here we are 44 years later!
That looks fab, meg. Have a wonderful happy birthday celebration! What a great idea to have GD’s party there too – the kids’ll have a ball.
Hello, Agent Squirrel! Nuts can be hexb, so you’ll be fine!
Told you the weather would be good while we were away!
That’s me at the bottom of p203. I’ll stop for now and get back to [STRIKE]checking up on you all[/STRIKE] reading all about your adventures tomorrow.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Pulled pork wasn't nice at all.:( Mainly because it wouldn't pull! Not sure if it was my oven, I did it at the fan temperature suggested but although it was cooked it wasn't falling apart as it should have been. Ended up carving it and pouring a little of the sauce over. Acceptable but that's all. Rest of sauce in the freezer as it'll do for patatas bravas and will eat pork cold for lunches.056dillonl1381 wrote: »How many syns would you put for a maple glazed gammon? would be nice to know peoples thoughts.I'm rather annoyed that I've let myself get to this stage to be honest... but the kick up the butt I need is that I am going to visit a friend in Canada next summer; and I'll be damned if I stay the size I am now (5'9 and size 15)
It's hard to judge as we're all different frames but I'm 5ft 9 and I'm a size 12 at 10st 7. I think you're right to focus on the dress size rather than the number on the scales. Good Luck.
Hope your birthday weekend goes really well meg.
Sorry to hear IBS is playing up mim. Anything happening with your house sale?0 -

Thankyou... I think this time I'm going to need it!
When I am slimmer, I have a rather narrow waist, but I have curves. At my lowest, I was 12st and was a large size 12. I don't think I would look well at anything under 11st to be honest; however, size is what I am focused on... so if I get to a 'true to life' size 12 (or a little slimmer) I don't give a fiddlers what I weigh... as long as I look healthy and in proportion for my height.I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -
Has anyone done the Dannette May Fat diminisher that costs $37 dollars0

Shala, not a sausage to report. Zilch. I just don't know what's wrong, apart from me not eating everything at meal times.
Not to worry, as I haven't been well this week. I still have pains in my chest and it feels like I need a good burp and it will clear. The doctors at the hospital said it was muscle spasm. But I am not feeling any better. Although, the two doctors and one consultant assured me my heart etc is ok.i don't feel content So Shala, nothing again for the chart and thanks for taking time to do it x0 -
Morning
Still getting an occasional twinge from the sciatica, but it's getting a lot easier now and I'm only taking Ibuprofen, not co-codamal, so DH and I shared a bottle of red last night. It went down very well!
B-e-g - corned beef pie, that must be a northern thing, I have an Auntie up north who makes it and it's absolutely gorgeous with a bit of peasepudding.Never heard of it down south.
Welcome back Fluff, it sounds like you're being very realistic with your goals. It's important to feel happy with your size and when you're tall you don't want to be too thin. When you get to goal you'll know if you want to carry on and lose more.
Spuddysue - just had a look on the Syns Allowed Facebook page for your Indian spiced burgers but I can't find them. If you become a member of the group you can post the details and someone will calculate it for you.
This is turning into a serial post, I started it at 8.30 and it's nearly 10 o'clock so I'll give up now! Have a good day everyone.
