Thanks saver upper for your encouragement. I do struggle a little with speed foods as I don't eat veg, but I eat lots of strawbs, nectarines, plums etc. I have counted everything that I have eaten honestly. I think/hope its just down to the fact that I am eating things like pasta/potatoes more freely now and maybe this is just taking some getting used to. I'm waiting for my leader to get back to me with her thoughts on my diary. Just had fabulous dinner, jkt spud, salad and spiced up chicken breast. Allowed 5 syns for light salad cream and a tbs of coleslaw? hope everyone has had a good day.x

It does take time to adjust to the new way of eating but maybe you could incorporate the strawbs, nectarines, plums etc into your breakfast? I.E HEB, yoghurt (mullerlight or other alternative), fat free yoghurt (greek, fromage frais) and fruit.

  • Hello
First time post to this group and wanted to join to help me stay on track.
I have been trying to lose weight for years but never really committed to it 100% however this time is different.
I am not losing weight to drop dress sizes (however that will be very nice) But I want to lose weight so it would be safer for my health to get pregnant and start a family.

I am currently on my second week I lost 4.5 on first week which I was really happy with especially as last weekend I went to two wedding evening receptions.

looking forward to being part of the group :-)

    My menu today:

    Breakfast: bacon,fried eggs,2 tomatoes,baked beans,a couple of fried potatoes

    Lunch: bean chilli with rice

Snack: a Hifi bar (1/2 HEB)

Tea: jacket potato with bacon, egg mayo (about 1 syn for mayo),sweet chilli sauce (3 syns),cheese (4 syns)

Dessert: the kids' latest holiday fad in this house is cake-in-a-cup-not-the-SW-recipe-nor-anything-resembling-it icon_eek.gif.Over the weeks I have had a taste here and there.Tonight I worked out the syns and requested one of my own 018.gif.About 12 syns (plus a few choc chips-I wasn't told how many).Asked the kids not to cook it completely so it was lovely and gooey.Yum yum.

THEN................later tonight I had the other Hifi that makes up my HEB today.

Skimmed milk used in cups of tea.

Must have more speed tomorrow.Only realised while typing this I haven't had any fruit today .

The scales did waver but I always take the first reading! :rotfl:

Next week will be more of challenge as we've got a couple of 'out' days which makes my meal planning a bit tricky.

Heading off to work now ~ have a good Friday everyone.:)

Denise, here they are, basically battered deep fried onions!! They come with everything here. Maybe they are called something else elsewhere but here they are tobacco onions!
