Aww,was very pleased (and a bit surprised!) with a 1 lb loss
tonight.Considering I had the burger and HM not-SW-friendly-at-all curry onSaturday,I think I got off lightly. My loss means I am smack-bang in the middle of the lower half of target :j.

    Today's menu:

    Breakfast:2 slices wholemeal toast,Flora light(1 syn),Marmite
    an apple

    Snack: a mandarine

Snack: lots of lo-syn snacks at SW taster night.Mostly tried fried rice (much nicer than my attempt at fried rice a few weeks ago),a nibble of choc brownie with raspberry (meh-can never get past the taste of artificial sweeteners in SW dessert).
While preparing my contribution, syns were consumed: Mikado sticks (1/2 syn each) with different combinations of strawberries, raspberries, banana, mandarin, with Choc Shot drizzled over (1/2 syn per teaspoon)

Tea(prepared by OH and I couldn't be bothered organising myself anything else) : tortillas chips with cooked chicken and cheese, salsa (from a jar!),fromage fraise

    Snack: 2 HiFis (6 syns)

Skimmed milk used in cups of tea.

Forgot to mention that one of the "tastes" at group tonight was so nice,I had to ask the lady who made it to repeat the recipe very slowly so I could write it down.It contains lots of speed, and butter beans, maman.

Fry red onion and peppers together (havent copied down whether it was only red peppers ,and didn't notice, sorry.May have also had yellow, but didn't notice green).
Add chopped mushroom and a tin each of: sweetcorn, baked beans in tomato sauce (yes, really),red kidney beans, butter beans, chickpeas.
Add a carton of passatta and a tin of chopped tomato (the lady said she also added fresh tomatoes she had in fridge just to use them up).
Season with garlic granules, salt and pepper, pinch of hot paprika-not too much, mild chilli powder, some dried basil, dash worcestershire sauce.
Bring to the boil for a minute, then simmer til everything soft.
(I am also thinking I have a butternut squash that needs using,so might throw that in as well.)

It just so happens I have all those ingredients in at the moment, and I have a day off tomorrow.Might make it for the kids' lunches tomorrow, just to give them all something to complain about :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't mind baked beans to eat,but I have always been put off by recipes where a tin of baked beans are chucked in (sometimes see recipes for shepherds/cottage pie with this,or casseroles). But tonight I raised my eyebrows so high when I was told there was a tin of baked beans in it.I would never have known if she hadn't said.

lantanna well done on the gym and congrats on the arrival of your new neice. Hope she is not too long in the Neonatal unit and she can be home with mum and dad.

Tweets glad the kitchen is going well. Hopefully not long til they are finished now.

Hope you enjoyed the meatballs denise. I have to admit I like them, the sausages and the normal burgers but that is my limit lol.

shala well done on ignoring the pizza. The smell is too much isn't it and soooo tempting.

Well done on the loss JPScloud, saverupper,

The gain wasn't too bad beg considering the wedding, afternoon tea etc. you will soon knock that into a cocked hat!

Not looking forward to WI tonight but hey ho.

    Menu today is:

Breakfast: toast and Jam, DG coffee
    Lunch: chicken salad
dinner: venison grill steaks, saute potatoes and veg
    snacks: nectarine, plum and yoghurt

will have to chick an A choice in there somewhere. Possibly a glass of milk before I go to WI as I am always starving by the time I get home at 7pm lol.

Maisie can't say I enjoyed the meatballs very much, certainly not enough to buy any more. I cooked them in the oven and then put them into the sauce for a good 10-15 minutes but they were still really hard. There's a portion in the freezer which I'm hoping DH will take for lunch one day! Haven't tried the burgers yet but have some in the freezer to try sometime this month, was going to be this weekend but have DGD coming away with us this weekend in the motorhome and 4 burgers won't be enough for 3 of us!

Didn't like the sausages at all, although they were a bit better cold in a sandwich than hot with mash & veg. Probably won't be buying any more SW stuff, unless the burgers are OK as they would be convenient to be able to keep in the freezer.

    Having a Green day today:

    B - weetabix, milk, strawberries
    L - egg mayo sandwich
D - jacket potato, lentil & veg ragu (from freezer)

May make some humous later to snack on with carrot sticks, pepper strips, cucumber etc as doesn't look much to eat in the meals today.

    HEA x 2 - milk
    HEB1 - weetabix
    HEB2 - bread

Have decided to try to keep the syns low today as I have DD1 and DGD for dinner tomorrow night and will be having aromatic crispy duck & pancakes so no idea how many syns I'll need for that!!! (It's a ready cooked aromatic duck just needs reheating and crisping up in the oven).

Good losses JPS and Saverupper :T

Denise - i found the burgers ok but a bit watery when you bite into them, which was weird and messy. We tend to make our own and then freeze them for when we want some, they have a nicer texture i find than shop bought. More meaty :D

We didn't end up with stir fry last night (my least favourite meal of all time), we had cajun chicken, sweet potato and lots of roasted veg instead, it was really lovely

I fancied a snack about 9 and went for some crisps but i decided on an apple and some pb quark instead :rotfl::A

    So todays menu EE
    B - pineapple, yogurt, granola (0.5heb)
L - LO roasted veg, couscous, sweet chilli sauce (1)
T - pork (bbq or schnitzel:think:), corn, salad
S - crisps (5) milk (hea) alpen light (0.5 heb) apple
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Yes, denise and I have got the anti-SW way of maintaining sussed!! It's basically drink loads of wine at the weekend then share any syns left through the week!:rotfl:SW suggest upping HEXs.

That butter bean recipe looks interesting. Is it like a speed soup when it's finished. Hot? Cold?

I'm planning to use one tin of butter beans today!!:j

Why not take it with you maisie? Loads of people seem to do that at my group and sit there during Image Therapy eating and drinking (breakfast at my group as it's a morning one).

Going on what I've read on here, no one seems to rave about any of the SW ready meals so I've not felt inclined to give them a try. I'm really happy with the 1 syn burgers from Sainsbury's so I'll stick with them.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, fried potato and veg
D: chicken casserole (new potatoes, celery, onion, mushrooms, leeks, carrots and BUTTER BEANS:D) with cabbage and peas.
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, tbsp. of cornflour in casserole

I'm another not bothering to try the SW Range either, don't fancy it at all from what I've heard.

Got to up the speed foods for the rest of the week. Been slack with it so far this week.

Will go to the gym tonight. Baby back with Mum, both being kept in for a few more days but doing well.

I could sleep today! I could use a day in bed :rotfl:
