I think that's how I've come by most of them as got fed up with paying 50p+ in most supermarkets. Will make a start this week and use up at least one tin.TakeItEazy wrote: »Thanks for the recipes Maman, does the garlic make all the difference or could I leave it out as am intolerant and makes me quite poorly. That sausage recipe reminds me of something!!
I would have thought it would be fine without the garlic as it has onion in it anyway, you could just taste and adjust the seasoning at the end like more pepper or whatever you prefer.
I like this recipe for sausage casserole (adapted of course)

much more grown up than the one I used to do when my DDs were at home and it helps use up the butter bean mountain!!!;)
I ate three chocolates tonight:o.0 -

Have you tried butterbean mash maman? We came across it when I tried out some SP days as a replacement for mashed potatoes. All I will say is, it may work for some peopleUKTigerlily wrote: »-3.5Ibs for me this time pls
Fab loss UKTigerlily :T:T:T
Right then, what's on the agenda for today then? Waiting for washer to finish and will get them hung out while the sun is shining and then take a stroll down to Mum's for a coffee. Then it is off down to Lidl and/or Aldi (usually do Lidl but need some of the little sf rhubard sweeties from Aldi) and Lidl have XXL gammon joints on for about £3.80 and they could be around the 1.2kg size so wouldn't mind one of those for the slow cooker. Also need to get some broth mix - we have some very lean cooking bacon (thick and chunky pieces) and had intended to make broth with it. When we were in Asda yesterday broth mix was 79p and I was sure I had seen it in HB for 59p - when we got there they only had red lentils  so will have to look out for some today.
Nothing much really planned for this afternoon so will just do minimal housework, iron when the laundry has dried and then will be off to church later. Once we get back, I will have tea and then become a couch potato for the rest of the evening. No apologies for laziness here
Enjoy weekend everyone.

Any of you that have made any loss I recommend lifting up some bags of charcoal in the supermarket to the equivalent weight A few bags in case lol :rotfl:
I'm not good with metricbut an app on my phone worked out my loss to date in kgs for me.:rotfl:
3 x 6kg bags of charcoal plus a 1kg bag of sugar. I could hardly lift it all.
I got a dodgy look from the security bloke so I put them all back and got on with my shopping
Blimey I used to carry all that around with me all the time!
It'll help with motivation. I've still got a few bags of charcoal to go though
The weather here is gorgeous ~ have a lovely weekend peeps xx0 -
Gosh sorry, i'm being really pants at checking in on here lately.. I had a hectic week at work last week then a migraine yesterday:( so I only ate carbs to cheer myself up.. was still on plan though if i counted it as a green day
still have a headache today ( I think it's hormonal
) but got to get back on track so ignoring it.
Welcome back to our returners - poohbear and Flateric
Well done all the losers :T:TDoes anyone else think the same as me ~ that at one time I would have been mortified to weigh 12 stone.
Nope, it's my dream at the moment to get to 12 stone.. :rotfl: can't even remember the last time I managed it, probably 15 years ago.
Flateric - I have yogurt, fruit and a sprinkle (10-15g) of granola/muesli for my breakfasts at work. I leave the granola in my desk and just take the fruit and yogurt fresh each morning. If you're not into breakfast then maybe just a piece of fruit would get you off and running for the day..
ohh I missed wishing greentiger a happy holiday.. if you read back I hope you have a lovely time, ciao xx
Good body magic Beanie
sshhhh with the onion rings talk.. I love them!:rotfl: our local pub does an onion ring starter and it's 20 onion rings with dips  it's a hungry horse pub I think.. not one for visiting if you're watching your weight..
Maisie, PB hottie is lovely.. I use it for mixing into quark or yogurt for a nice dip with fruit  I've also used it spread on toast instead of peanut butter, sprinkled neat on banana/apple as a snack, mixed with quark on top of a flattened alpen bar as a sort of mock cheesecake.. the only thing I don't do is drink it, it's too sweet for me.
Well, I lost 2 lb this week at weigh in so that's half of my gain gone from last week, I can never lose it as fast as I put on:(.. I bought some choc orange hifi bars.. not worth it imo, tiny things they were but they tasted like a choc orange club bar, anyone else tried them?
Haven't really planned food for today  OH has decided he wants a massive meat grill type meal tonight but i'm not feeling it, fancy something a bit lighter.. can't decide at all
Anyway, off to take some medicine and get up to the butchers to spend far too much money, hope everyone has a wonderful day xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

More good losses!:T:T
Thanks for the suggestion but I think I might pass on the butter bean mash. Maybe I'll just experiment with a few beans next time I open a tin. I do like them very much so they will get used, just hadn't realised how many had accumulated.
Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onion and pickled cabbagechicken jambalaya (courgette, carrots, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes) with rice, peas and chicken breast.
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine;)0 -
Afternoon all
Actually had time for a bit of a catch up on the thread, which is nice. Last Saturday was all go from start to finish, but it's actually been a bit more relaxed today, I think the new arrivals are spread over a few days instead of all being on the same day.
It's absolutely gorgeous here today too, really warm and sunny, so I hope it's the same for the rest of the country.. the weather forecast didn't look this good this morning.
Meals have been on plan while we've been busy, but there have been a few extra syns consumed along the way. Being busy must be a form of Body Magic so it's balancing out.
There was grave temptation staring us in the face last night - we were doing fish and chips which we cook fresh to order, we had an order for 2 fish suppers at 7.30, and the person didn't come to collect them until nearly 8 o'clock! We thought they had changed their mind and not told us, but thankfully they were busy trying to get their tent up and hadn't noticed the time.
I might have a piece of fish without the batter tonight though - we're having a red day, having had chicken fajitas and salad for dinner (HEBs for the wraps) so it's that or some ham with more salad.
I started this at 5 o'clock and it's now 6.15 having had a few interruptions from customers, but last week I didn't have time to sit down, never mind type a post. :rotfl:
Have a lovely evening everone, and hopefully a sunny Sunday.

I told my mam after the 2nd date I was going to marry him and have his babies.
haha but it is actually going really well. We're going away next weekend and again at the end of October. I just wish he lived closer and not 45 miles away!0
