You can justify the pub & afters food by naming it a celebration meal, maman! Fab result for the Saints.

    Great result, Sandhy and Maisie.

Hello again, Eric. I’m sure you’ll get back in the groove shortly.

Looks like I’ll have to get a hold of the HB steak recipe!

Off to pack up the remnants of the fridge and take them with the veg deliveries to DD. She eats veggie during the week to keep costs down a bit, so my stuff is going to a good home.

Thanks for the holiday wishes, Maisie –it’s glorious here today and no doubt it will be all the time we’re away! Suitcase is packed but for toiletries type stuff. Flight is at 6.40am tomorrow (eek!). I’ll be eavesdropping over the next week though.

Ta ta for now - and behave yourselves (I probably won’t though).

It was a good result but we didn't play well at all. We're hoping they were deliberately low key saving themselves for the Premier league.

Here's the HB recipe but if you've forgotten by the time you get back it's easily found just Google Hairy Bikers braised steak.

Interesting to hear about the SW burgers b-e-g. I've not made my own since discovering the Sainsbury's ones but you can't get them at your branch unfortunately. I used to make mine for the freezer with onions and capers in and bind them with a bit of yogurt but I never tried cooking them from frozen always defrosted first. I don't have a burger press, just squished them into a pastry cutter.

I found this sausage casserole recipe

I might try that sometime as I'm sure the brown sugar isn't essential. I was tidying my storecupboard yesterday and I found 11 tins of butter beans!:rotfl:

Weather's glorious here too. Enjoy your weekend everyone.:A

Looked again this morning maman in Sainsbobs but no luck :(. It is a fair sized store but the freezer section isn't so big imo. Hadn't thought about adding yoghurt to the burger mix.

Have just printed the HB sausage casserole recipe so hopefully we will give that one a go soon :D. Will probably use the Sainsbobs Fat Reduced Sausages for that.

You only have 11 tins of butter beans maman? :rotfl: I think we put 3 tins in the basket each time we go into Home Bargains (3 for £1) :D.

Weather not too bad today but it has turned quite a bit cooler now and I have had to start closing some of the windows. Just had Cola Chicken (8 servings for freezer) and we had that with vegetable rice. Off out soon to do Mum's hair and then we are off to s-i-l's for a couple of hours.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Thanks for the recipes Maman, does the garlic make all the difference or could I leave it out as am intolerant and makes me quite poorly. That sausage recipe reminds me of something!!
