Morning all
Haven't stopped yet, so just a quickie to report another STS this week.
Have a great weekend everyone, I may see you on the other side, if I survive!
LLStart BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
I don't work now so can have a leisurely breakfast, usually something like scrambled eggs on toast, beans on toast, bacon & mushroom sandwich or a full "fry up" - SW style obviously!
When I was working it was usually fruit & yoghurt at my desk when I got there as I had to leave for work at 5.40am to get to work for 7.45am start:eek:. Glad I don't have to do that any more! Although sometimes I used to treat myself to something from the canteen usually scrambled eggs on toast or porridge with honey (porridge was made with water and you could add milk if you wanted plus a range of toppings but I generally only had honey as the nuts weren't SW friendly and the fruits never looked particularly good, LOL, and of course they costed an extra 50p each so not very :money:.
As you go to group it might be worth having a look on the website for some ideas.

Snacks: Square of Dark Choc and Gin:rotfl: (Can't predict the quantity )
Love it!! That's my sort of snacking!:DHiya
Reporting a 2lb loss this week and I'm pleased ~ still heading in the right direction :j
I now weigh 12 stone! As some of you might know that's just a smidge over 3 stone gone since January when I started. I really need to shift at least another stone.
Does anyone else think the same as me ~ that at one time I would have been mortified to weigh 12 stone.
40 years ago I weighed 9 stone now my target is 11 . I guess life moves on and age has made me move the goal posts! :rotfl:
I'm 5'7"
I've been loving the SW food planning thoughreally is working for me!
Delighted for you sandhy.:T next week will be a new figure on the scales and that always feels good.
My target weight (10st 7) is the top end of what I've weighed all my adult life. I'm 5ft 9. I used to vary across about a stone depending on time of the year. As I'm older now I didn't want to go for the lowest weight as my arms/neck/thighs might look scrawny. My weight is bang in the middle of the healthy weight zone on these charts.

 good to see you back FE. Like denise, I've mostly got time for a leisurely cooked breakfast. On the days I do have to be up and out for meetings I mostly rely on cereal but as it's not every day I can cope with that. When I worked every day it was sometimes a banana eaten in the car!
When you were posting before I remember you were excellent in knowing the SW plan but work/family meals got in the way. I think planning is the key to success on SW (that and Speed food of course;)). Maybe you're going to have to prep things the night before so you go to work with lots of things to munch on and don't get sidetracked into coffee shops. So things like frittata or hard boiled eggs or cold sausages or pasta salads or savoury rice with Speed bits chopped in or cold meats. I don't have a sweet tooth but other options would be things like fruit and yogurts. There are heaps of ideas but it's sticking to your plan that will make the difference.
I've not done my meal plan yet so will post menu later. So far just had SW breakfast (2 fried eggs on HEB toast).0 -
If anyone does want to join online there is a code in essentials Mag gets you £35 off apparently. Just incase anyone is thinking of it and you have up until the 12th of Sept to join.0

Sorry bit of an epic catch up from me
meg congrats on the loss and getting your life membership. Must be lovely to have those £5 to yourself again - are you planning to save them for something? Your DGD trip to Peru sounds amazing.
Congrats on SOTW Lantanna. Can you let me know how many syns in the Peanut Hottie please. It says 4 syns per 25g on the SW website but not sure if you use that much for a drink or indeed if it's the right one on there? Thanks. Shame about your night out. Like you say at least one of the good things about SW is that it is flexible and you can amend your plans accordingly.
Well done on the loss Matron Midge, Mumoftwo, maman, tweets, Claire1972,
Shala hope puss cat is okay and the vet got him sorted.
Hello Poohbear. Must admit online did not work for me either. I do enjoy the group as we have a great laugh and no-one takes themselves too seriously but we are all there to support each other. Well done on the loss.
1940s gal lovely to hear about the new romance. We will expect to be kept up to date on this!!!
Have a lovely holiday greentiger.
candyapple good luck for next week. It can be so hard sometimes.
Beg I am in awe of all your body magic well done you. The lbs will be falling off you again soon.
Heather we do the same as maman. We have a raffle organised by the consultant and she keeps some of the money back each week and puts it towards a night out at christmas and then buys stuff for the basket with the rest of the money. For the SOTW we have another basket and some people take in fruit, veg or tinned stuff like tomatoes, carrots, potatoes etc and things like savoury rice or mugshots. I tend to take in Alpen light bars (2 are a HeB) as its a good way for people to try the different flavours without having to buy them.
sandhy well done on the loss this week and also on your achievement so far.:T yep would love to be 12 stone now but can recall in my 20s and 30s I would have been so upset to have weighed a smidge over 9st lol.
Hope the weather is kind for you denise. Have a good weekend.
FE whilst I am on holiday I have been having cooked breakfasts with plenty of mushroom and tomato and either sw sausages, bacon, french toast or sauted potatoes but am going back to work in 10 days so am now trying to get back in to my normal fruit and yoghurt, or overnight oats or toast, jam and fruit.
reporting in with a 0.5lb loss please shala this week. Not as much as I hoped for but its a loss so I am happy about that.
Have had two good days on plan and today is set to be another:
Breakfast: melon chunks and DG latte (2.5 syns) (melon needed using up so a big bowlful) followed by Hifi bar (3 syns) at 11am with parents when they popped in for a coffee and natter
Lunch: mugshot and yoghurt for lunch - will have a bit of fruit later for a snack as pretty full at present
dinner: cold meats, cheese (heA), wholemeal roll (heB), pickles, tomatoes and cucumber
May have a couple of pimms this evening but need to check if I have some lemonade first.
First sunny day all summer I think nice to see it for a change.0 -
Masie M on the peanut butter hottie is says 83 calories for a 20g serving which would be 4 syns. 20g is 4 level teaspoons.
Shala is more of a Peanut Butter Hottie expert than me, she does all sorts with hers. Maybe she'll fill you in when she's back on. I'm pretty boring with it and just drink it!0 -

:T a loss is a loss so well done! And good to hear from you.
I was only thinking earlier about how busy lois is at the moment with all the holidaymakers. STS is quite an achievement under the circumstances.
OK, I've done my mealplan for the week, off shopping in a moment. DH has invited his sister (the one doing SW) for a meal on Sunday and I've decided to do Hairy Bikers steaks. That's partly because it won't need much attention and because I want to impress with a delicious, virtually syn free meal (shame about the drinks;)) and also introduce her to the recipe.
My EE menu for today:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, stir fried veg and pickled cabbageburger, chips, fried onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and peas
Syns: HP sauce, weekend wine:j0 -
Maman - good idea introducing SIL to HB steak! Definitely think it's impressive for virtually no syns. Done it for my DGD, DD1 & her partner last week and they all loved it (quite impressed her partner loved it and he's a chef!)

Just having a bit of a catch up. Been to Sainsbobs this morning for weekly shop and then a bit of a top-up shop at Asda and Iceland (SW burgers for lunch). Had lunch with Mum where we tried the SW burgers and I have to say they weren't too bad to have in as a standby but I think we preferred DH's as they are not quite as dry as the SW ones. I think he blitzes mushrooms in his and I think it adds a moistness without being obviously in them. Another point is that the mushrooms are speed food too maman
:rotfl: DS has a burger maker and I keep thinking we should make some for the freezer but we never seem to get round to doing it.
Well done all your losers :T
I don't usually bother too much with breakfast FE as I am at home/mum's most mornings and would rather snack on fruit/yog mid-morning or have brunch. If, however, I am going out early morning (hols/long day shopping etc) then I usually go for SW fry-up. I enjoy the Overnight Oats - but I usually have them for supper.
So far, so good - this is day 3 back on plan. Will have to remember that I have already had wholemeal roll at lunch time (usually have hes at suppertime).
Got more Body Magic in - I like to give the bathroom a deep clean on a weekend and then just freshen it up through the week. Well ... it didn't get done at weekend with the wedding and all the other stuff that was going on and I looked at it this morning and thought that it just wouldn't last til Sunday morning. So, I am pleased to say that it is now bright and sparkly once again
Whilst I was on bathroom duty, DH has made a huge amount of Cola Chicken (he thinks it will probably make 8-10 portions) so we will keep a couple out for tea and freeze the others.
Have a good weekend everyone.
