StS this week for me
It's been a very busy one, lots of long hours at work and ended up raiding the biscuit tin at times. Also couldn't make my two exercise classes due to working so late.
Next week could be a challenge, we are off to London for 3 days for my partners 30th. Obviously birthday cake will be consumed. Does anyone have any tips on eating out? My plan is cereal with fruit for breakfast, something like a subway salad for lunch but dinner will be eaten out....... I'm not a fan of steak ect and my partner is a big fan of Italian. How can I make some sensible choices?0 -
Another busy week gone by. House now up for sale and its just a case of waiting and nail biting. Got someone viewing this afternoon.

Hi everyone,
Went to my first meeting today. Some of the people at the group had been with SW before (this is a new group which has been set up).
Saw the cereal bars they have for sale, but didn't get anything yet.
Have been reading through my pack and looking at my optimising food book, haven't had chance to read through all my booklets yet. Have to say I'm optimistic, but I also feel a bit overwhelmed about what to eat!
I don't want to end up buying foods I wouldn't normally buy and sending the shopping bill up, if that makes sense.
It does mention porridge for breakfast in the book, but does anyone know if the oatso-simple sachets are any good for me, as I like them? Also are the porridge pots any good?
Also, someone who I met at the group who's been there before, they mentioned something about Slimming World pasta. Do they do their own foods, as I've never seen them for sale?
If this helps, my local supermarket is Asda (Tescos at a push). I have an Iceland, but can only go at the weekend.
We both work full-time, so not much time for cooking. I don't want to spend ages in the kitchen.
Thanks in advance.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

Oats so Simple Multigrain sachets in Fruit Muesli, honey or original flavours are ideal for a breakfast HEB (Healthy Extra. Much easier than measuring.
SW brought out their own range of ready meals back in February. They are only stocked in Iceland. They're quite expensive as ready meals go (compared with WW) but they can feed two with adding veg and I think they may be still on offer at the moment. reports on here say they're not that good though.
Definitely the best way to do SW is to cook from scratch but that can be as simple as omelettes, jacket potatoes or stir fry if you're busy. There are loads of SW recipes on line and in the magazine (80p cheaper if you buy it at group) but it's really easy to adapt your normal recipes to SW sometimes as simply as using Frylight instead of oil. It really is worth putting aside some time to batch cook things like chilli or Bolognese then all you have to do after work s defrost and cook up some rice or pasta.
SW doesn't have to be expensive. Loads of posters on here are very mse:money:.
Take a look at what other people post as their menus. It'll give you ideas or there's the 7 day sample menu on the website. Good Luck!
My EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: lentil and veg soup, pearHB steak with mushrooms and onions, SW chips, broccoli, asparagus, peas.
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine:j0 -

The mousse is 4 syns wiz unless it's the coconut and chocolate which is 4.5.
Couldn't you (pretty please;)) squeeze in a few more Speed foods? Like I said to saverupper, it's not that you aren't eating fruit and veg but lots of the ones you're having aren't Speed food.0 -
