shrimpy glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Congratulations on the loss Denise and good planning re the meal swop, not always easy.
Glad you enjoyed the footie maman even though it was crunchieless. Hope you enjoy your shopping trip.
Tweets what a nuisance about the kitchen mind you it will be nice when it is all completed. We have just been out to buy flooring for the utility and paint for the kitchen so we are going to be in turmoil soon too.
scarlet loving the numbers too. Fingers crossed you get your 1.5lb to make 1.5 stone next week.
TIE your tiredness could just be your body relaxing after the horrendous few months you have had at work now you are on holiday. Mine did the same the first week of our holidays too but now I am looking at going back in 2 weeks and wondering where the last 5 weeks went!!
Dubbya congrats on the loss and well done for getting into the next stone bracket.
Hope you enjoy the wedding beg. How wonderful to get the 'naturally slim' comment something I think we would all love to hear. Yes we had the braised steak last night and it was amazing - we are so making that again. I did it with a lot less liquid in the slow cooker on low and then added the mushrooms about an hour from the end. I can't believe it was so easy and so filling. Thanks to Maman and you for recommending it.
Claire congrats on the loss and getting your shiney.
Oh Greentiger wine gums. i don't have much of a sweet tooth but I am afraid I am a wine gum fiend. I don't think I have enough willpower to just do 25g - now 25 packets:rotfl:
Saverupper well done you for resisting the cake.
A STS after a birthday week is pretty good going sandhy.
lantana funny I saw somewhere about the steak in between the thins and thought that they would go really soggy. I know they were saying to brush in egg and pop in the oven but I am afraid I don't think it would quite work for me. Although DH and I did discuss that the braised steak was a bit like a steak pie filling and as a pretend one you could bake some pasty separately in measured squares and syn it for a steak pie lol.
Congrats on the loss that's a great start.
Beanie hugs and hope you and your friend get through the weekend ok.
mum of 2 yep SW suddenly becomes the most interesting and distracting thing in the world when there is loads of housework for me to do but then I think about the body magic I can get whilst doing it and that makes it just about bearable lol
lois would it be worth maybe taking in some peeled carrots or a wee tub of fruit for when the munchies strike at 6pm. I have to say I couldn't go all that time before having something.
Right all caught up so menu from me today is
Brekkie: Mushroom, ham and tomato omlette with DG latte (2.5 syns)
lunch: Roast beef with 2 slices bread (HeB), cournichons, pickled onions and beetroot
dinner: filled potato skins with sweetcorn, lo lo cheese (HeA) and bacon, with salad
supper: strawberries
no wine syns and still trying to make up for Wednesdays curry lol.0 -
Have a good weekend all!!
I've survived my 2nd week at work and now off to the gym
Someone said I'd gotten my glow back today:o and a friends asked me to go on hols with her next year so that will be something to look forward too.
All good in the hood!
Fish and salad for tea after the gym. Got a new candle and a new blanket the other day so going to snuggle and get caught up on the tv with a few gins! (with some superspeed lemon & lime in them of course).
Tomorrow is tackling bedroom. Enjoy your weekend all!0 -
Fab loss lantanna and so pleased you are in the zone.
Struggling to post as I am on phone as lappy is having windows 10 installed as I type. Hope I don't regret it.
Well done to all losers and commiserations to strugglers.
Had hair done, eaten cola chicken for tea and off now to get nails done.
Enjoy weekend everyone.

I had a birthday this week so a meal out and a bit of cake. After last week's great loss sts this week was not unexpected.
It's payday for me :j Have a great Friday peeps
Belated birthday greetings sandhy and Yay! to payday.:)Lots of people having HB braised steak at the moment - including me tonight and I've just given the link for it to my DD2
I've just done exactly the same. My DD2 put on weight as a student, lost it with SW for a big birthday and has since gained far too much. DH (tactful as ever;)) asked her why and whether it was cakes and wine. She said it's her age! To me that just proves you have to be in SW healthy eating plan for life not just big birthdays! We then had conversation as to how she can't eat SW all the time because SIL is afraid he'll lose weight he can't afford (where's rolls eyes smiley when you need it). So I changed subject and recommended HB steak. I checked it before I emailed it to her and I still can't believe that so much delicious gravy is just half a syn shared between up to four people. It's amazing:D. I might just make some this weekend and have it with chips for a change as Dave and Simon intended.
When I'm being lazy I have the McCain 5% oven chips at 1.5 syns for 100g. I think they're about the lowest unless anyone knows different. Why do SW give syn value for raw, frozen chips. Does anyone eat them that way???Good news here - 3 lbs . So I’m off and running!! Now just to keep going and not let the weekend throw me of my stride!
We had a good time with DD2, DGD2 and a friend today. Ended up in Ask for a 'could have been worse' off plan meal. I had a mixed mushroom bruschetta followed by a tomato and aubergine pasta. Nothing tasted greasy so probably syns just in whatever amount of oil, parmesan sprinkled and the bread. Wine syns were consumed though.;)
I had SW breakfast and we may or may not have anything more this evening (not hungry yet) but if I do it will be SW friendly. Back on the wagon tomorrow when I'll do my meal plan and shop for the week.
It's been really bright and sunny here today. I hope the sun shines on you for the wedding b-e-g. Have a great time, you slim person you!!0 -
Hmmm, b_e_g, I think I’ll have to find a Sain-shop. That’s the same price as the del monte ones and they would make a nice change. Let me know how Windows 10 goes; I’d planned to upgrade too.
I’m impressed by your strength of will, Saver-upper.
maman, I’ll be taking my wine gums to tonight’s match (don’t know why I’m bothering as I’ve transgressed today). It’s been moved to tonight and to a different stadium because Tom Jones is performing at the Falkirk Stadium tomorrow. It’s bucketing now and Broadwood has to be the coldest stadium in the UK. ETA Oh well all worth it, a nice 5-0 win.:j:j:j:j:j
My ‘lazy ‘ chips are the McCains Rustic chips; same syns (1 ½ ) as yours, 3% fat. You could also have Tesco Country Store steak cut chips. These values are according to Syns Allowed.
lantanna, you are a star!
Maisie, I got tichy wee plastic bags and i divide the wine gums up as soon as they come into the house! Better chance of controlling myself!
No footie tomorrow, obviously. I’m out in the morning to mind 2 grandchildren and that’s my day.
Saturday
Breakfast: French toast (hexb), berries, maple syrup (1 syn)
Lunch: hm burger, hexb wholemeal roll, red onion, tomato, salad leaves, berries & ML vanilla yogurt (that I didn’t have today)
Dinner: veggie stir fry (pack choi, mixed veg stir fry, Qurn chicken style pieces) & noodles (1 syn)
Snacks: hexa cheese & fruit or milk, Walkers French Fries (4 syns), choc digestive (4 syns)
Good luck everyone.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Thanks for the chips info. I used to buy (and enjoy) the rustic chips but the price kept rising and it seemed like a rip off so I switched to the McCain 5% because they sell them cheaply in Farmfoods.
I feel a bit thinner tonight which is laughable as I've had the off plan lunch and loads of wine syns. I did have a snack tonight (ham, tomato, pickled onions). Hopefully being good is catching up with me. It's only fair as the bad stuff always does!;)
Feeling really motivated for the morning to do my meal plan and weekly shop. Sad or what??0 -
Have tried to increase my speed food intake today.Hope it is enough, cos I have been feeling very full-not sure how I would fit anymore in!

Funny how you're feeling thinner now you've had an off plan meal and wine syns Maman but it seems to work like that sometimes, doesn't it?
greentiger I also use those little snack bags but for cheese. I grate the block and then freeze in HE portions. That reminds me I need to buy some more reduced fat cheese as only have the full fat at the moment - that extra 10g of the reduced fat makes all the difference, LOL!
Another EE day today:
B - spanish omlette with LO potato, spring onion, pepper & peas
L - fry up (would normally have for breakfast but DH is working this morning)
D - Eating out so not sure what I'll have yet - no online menu available
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - may have some bread with the fry up
Syns - weekend wine:D

Morning all
Reporting in with another STS this week, which is ok, I'm a bit relieved to be honest.
Day One today and a good day to start again as it's the 1st of the month.
Saturdays are always fun in the high season with people leaving and more people arriving so it's going to be a busy day. No time to catch up with the thread, so all the best to everyone, well done to the losers and hugs to anyone struggling.
Have a great weekend, enjoy the sunshine, I'm not sure how long it will be here!
