It was OH's birthday .I resisted all the cupcakes cooked by DD,and basically stuck to plan.Think I still need more speed, though. The problem is,with having only had brunch and tea,I miss having my big speed opportunity-salad at lunch.

    Today's menu:
    Breakfast: scrambled egg,bacon,1-and-a-half cooked tomatoes,1waffle (2.5 syns),baked beans

    Snack: cold sausage (2.5syns),2 apples

Tea:roast pork,OXO potatoes, carrot, parsnips, peas, sweetcorn, gravy (-all free apart from gravy)

    Snack: 2 Hifi bars (HEB)

Skimmed milk used in cups of tea.

:T to all the losers. 1.5lbs seems very popular today!
Oh forgot to say Maisie (I think it was you going to try the Hairy Bikers Steak) - we have just frozen 4 x 2 portions of it tonight and all I will say is that it is lush and a firm favourite here. We put Mum a small portion of the meat to one side for her lunch today (she doesn't eat very much these days) and she told me she got some frozen veggies out to do with them but changed her mind and just dipped a slice of bread into the gravy :rotfl: Better not let 'speed cop maman' know where she lives :p;)

 Wot no veg!!! I always put mushrooms as well as onions in the gravy and then extra with it. I haven't had it with chips for ages, usually have a roast and piles of veg.

I love fine white bone china too. The good things is you can buy it all over the place and it still matches. Mine's mainly from Asda, Wilko and TK Maxx.

That was a lovely compliment for you tonight. Real NSV, delighted for you.

You're right about the lack of Speed saver-upper. You had plenty of veg with your dinner but only the carrots count as Speed, perhaps try varying the veg.

I see you’ve had a great result tonight, maman – even without the Crunchie.

Yes, we were delighted and a couple of our new players looked promising although none of them are properly fit yet. DH moaned at the lack of Crunchie;).

Because we had our supper early, we were hungry when we got back. DH had a big lump of cheese and wine but I had some ham with tomatoes, cornichons and beetroot.:D

I'm still moaning though because I feel I'm not losing like I should be. It's a week since I had my off plan meal and I've behaved since then. Hopefully I'll start feeling it soon.

Out shopping with DD2 tomorrow. If she wants a proper lunch then I'll probably go off plan. if she's happy with something snacky then I can have a salad or a JP while everyone else eats sandwiches or burgers. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

    Evening all

Amazed I lost 1 1/2 so Ive got my half stone award!

    Really pleased x
Great pattern Scarlet :T Well done you :T

    Well done dubbya :T

Well I have been and had eye package done tonight ready for Sat wedding. While there we got chatting about various things (as you do :D) and somehow we got around to losing weight and I told the lady that I had lost 8st. She said 'I didn't look as though I had lost 8st and just looked like a naturally slim person' OMG - I don't think I have ever heard 'slim person' and me used in the same sentence before ever :rotfl::rotfl: It was so much easier to walk past the chippy on way home after hearing that comment and I was quite happy to have a SW friendly tea ;)

Will try to keep up with you tomorrow and then I will probably be missing over the weekend.;)

Well done Claire with your 11/2lb loss and 1/2 stone award.

A great NSV for your b-e-g. Also glad you found it easier to walk past the chippy on the way home after such a great compliment. Onward and downwards:D.

Lots of people having HB braised steak at the moment - including me tonight and I've just given the link for it to my DD2 as she's looking for meals to take with her when she goes away tomorrow, as well as stuff she can easily make on just a 2 ring camping stove. She's going to make it this morning and freeze it and they'll probably have it for dinner on Sunday so that it seems a bit more like a "proper" Sunday dinner - but she'll also cook the veg in it so all she'll have to do on the day is cook some potatoes of some sort (probably instant mash, LOL!)

Well it's back to EE today:

B - beans on toast; strawberries, grapes
L - roast beef salad, tinned pots
D - HB braised steak, veg, mash

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread
Syns - wine probably although not too much as DH has to get up for work in the morning at 5am!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: oh we put mushrooms in too maman ;). DH always says that it changes the flavour when added but fully understands the need for bulking up with speed stuff and then there is all that lovely gravy for the mountain of veggies on the plate. :rotfl:

Enjoy your shopping trip with DS - are you looking for anything special?

Belated birthday greetings Sandhy and well done on managing to STS after your celebrations. :D

Just waiting now for DH to join the human race and then we are off to Sainsbobs for weekly shop. Having lunch at Mums today - we are taking some salmon fillets, loads of salad stuff and we are doing Aunt Bessies Oven Chips (I think they are around 5 syns for 200g which isn't a bad size portion).

At hairdressers this afternoon and then getting nails done tonight (nothing posh just file and polish as I always seem to mess them up :o).

It's dry here atm but I do not know for how long.

Oh... I can hear the floorboards creaking - time for a cuppa before he makes it downstairs ;)

Its great when something like that spurs you on BEG!! Well done for walking past that chippy! You are fabulous! Put that naughty car out of your head now and focus on being fabulous!! :T
Enjoy your day out shopping with the daughter Maman.
Talking of braised steak I noticed someone had on Instagram braised steak in between 2 thins cooked in the oven and were calling it a SW Beef Slice. Not sure about this, I’m not really a fan of those type of pastry slices etc but would say the thins don’t compare at all to proper pastry! Anyone tried it??
Shrimpy the joys of anaesthetic ! I was most strange for 2 weeks after my op and 6 weeks before I had my happy head back on. Take care you will feel better soon.:A
Hope you feel better soon TIE doesn’t sound like much fun!:A
Good news here - 3 lbs . So I’m off and running!! Now just to keep going and not let the weekend throw me of my stride!
Went for a wonder round the shops last night got a new mug, a storage jar and a casserole dish in TX Maxx these will do to start. Didn’t see any plates etc I liked but will keep looking! Nice to be out and about again having an interest in things:)
Forgotten my yogurt so have to wait until tea time to go to the shop to get one for breakfast! :(

Yes Lantanna it's a "thing" in our class: what to fill your thin with? I make steak bake, tuna bake today, I even made a sweet one with cooked apple. It will never taste like pastry but they're lovely I think. People put them in the oven to bake but I just do them in my toastie maker.

    Great losses this week :T:T

It's still so cold here, it's depressing. I made a big bean chilli last night from the new veggie book, it was lovely.

I better go do some housework, SW is overtaking my life. I love looking at people's pics on instagram, post my own, read this thread, look up recipes etc etc :D:rotfl: in the meantime the washing is piling up :o

Oh I like the sound of the tuna one especially if it involves cheese too!

    Hiya :)

Still here, but not finding much time to post, and I forgot it was Friday this morning so I didn't weigh myself. I'll do it tomorrow.

Working long hours is proving to be challenging just as I thought, the afternoons/evenings seem to be very long and I have given into temptation a few times. We have our main meal at 1pm and our evening meal (tea/supper?) when we close at 8pm and it's the bit around 6pm when my stomach starts niggling!

Tomorrow is a new month and it's 3 months until our season ends and we go back to Spain so I need to focus on that - I'd like to lose 1.5 stone by then but I think that's probably pushing it now. 1 stone would be good.

Dinner is pasta bake made from LO chilli, which is in the oven as I type. We've got plenty of salad in so may have that later and I'm looking forward to some Friday night wine syns. :D

Better go, have a good weekend everyone.
