Breakfast wholemeal toast with peanut butter and a banana (4syns)
Lunch sugar snap peas, peppers, tomatoes, Jersey royals and pastrami.
Dinner veg stirfry with peppers, carrots, onions chorizo 4 syns), courgette.

  • Well done 1940's girl

Can anyone help? I'm goin away for the weekend to Carfest camping. I'm planning on porridge for breakfast, lunch we'll be having using the camp stove so needs to be a one pan tin of something ideally and dinner we will have from one of the food vans.

Any suggestions for best choices or options would be great. We won't have a fridge or any means of storing fresh food.

Thanks for the chart Shala your query about prepared salad reminded me that I still have a bag in the fridge, its 5 days old now and I wouldn't usually leave them for so long but anyway this is it, its not gone brown at all and is still nice and crisp. A tip I was given many years ago is not to cut your lettuce but to tear it into pieces don't know why but it stops it going brown so quickly.

Thanks for the idea Meg, I might try that, I hate preparing salad so getting it over and done with in one go might help :D

welcome Abbafan if you need help with the abbreviations just shout and someone will clear them up for you.

Lantanna glad to hear you are getting back into life again and the pain seems to have gone. Take baby steps though as you are still recovering.

Denise fingers crossed for a loss for you no matter how small.

meg well done on the sts

congrats on the losses annie, mumof2, 1940's gal,

ooh I have planned to do the braised steak tomorrow night too beg. have heard about it on here several times and finally getting round to doing it. Hope you got the car back ok.

Happy belated birthday greenbeanie sounds like you had a lovely day.

1940's gal what about a tin of beans or spaghetii hoops or even a mugshot if you have a kettle/can boil water.

was mostly on plan today but had a disaster this evening as DS1 came back from being at his dads and was desperate for a chinese for tea. As its the start of my week I will have to be very frugal with the syns from now on.

Breakfast: sw sausages, mushrooms and tomato DG latte (2.5 syns)
lunch: jacket potato, prawn coctail (2 syns - homemade sauce) and salad
dinner: chinese chicken curry and rice - (hunners of syns)

I will have some strawberries for supper if I am hungry then but as I feel so stuffed I doubt it lol.
