    Morning all

Looks like another cold day here :(

I shouldn't have done but I had a sneaky peek on the scales as WI is on Wed and I've not lost an ounce and now I'm in a bad mood. I so want 21/2 lbs off for my first stone. I've been so strict on plan this week and been swimming 4 times. Oh well, my own fault for stepping on my home scales (they weigh the same as group scales) :o
    Stupid body. ;)

Not sure about today's menu yet but it will involve lots of speed foods

Good luck with your first weigh in Greenbeanie

    Have a good day x

I hope you can turn it into a good day, I hate the fact that scales can dictate my mood, it seems so stupid :( I hope they start to move in the right direction for you.

    I can report a loss of 5lbs

I should be delighted but I have so much to lose I think in my head I thought it would be 1/2 a stone or more. Ridiculous I know.

Hello again, sorry I've been MIA. I've had a quick scan through and I see that there are more new friends here, so Hi and welcome to you. Well done losers and commiserations to strugglers.

TIE, tablet isn't toffee. It's more like fudge but that's not the same either. It's harder than fudge, not squashy (unless it hasn't set properly) yet it melts in your mouth mmmmmm, dangerous stuff. It's very sweet - and I love it. And tablet ice cream is amazing!

Well I'm fair scunnered as we say here when things are getting us down. I was hoping for a 1lb or even 2lb loss and what do I get? A blooming 3 lb gain. Sorry, folks. Although I've not posted the last few days, Id stuck to plan. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

    Breakfast: bacon, egg, courgettes, tomatoes
Lunch: hm hummus sandwich (hexb), salad, beetroot
Dinner: pasta with salmon and asparagus, ML banana and custard yogurt
Snacks: hard boiled egg sprinkled with mustard, Walkers French Fries (4 1/2 syns), hexa cheese, choc digestive (4 syns)

That's no more than 8 1/2 syns for today.

Have just totted up my syns for the weekend and as expected were way higher than they should have been. I've now only got 3.5-4 a day from now until Wednesday but still doable with lots of on plan meals and snacks. Syns will likely be things like pink n whites, fruit split lollies (if the weather warms up a bit!) or Ryvita & butter if wanting something savoury.

    Today's EE plan is:

B - scrambled eggs on toast; grapes & raspberries
L - roast beef salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper, cornichon, pickled onions, beetroot, spring onions. Will add a few sugarsnaps if I can find any on the plants outside but probably won't as I picked some yesterday; dressed with a fat free vinegarette.
D - oxtail stew which has plenty of veg in it already, mashed potato.

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day
HEB bread (as toast for breakfast)

Planning on cutting up a water melon later - well probably just cut half for now as it is so big - don't think I'd get it all in a box to fit in the fridge!

Syns this evening will be Ryvita & butter (3.5) if I want something savoury or pink n white (2.5) if I want something sweet.

    Morning,

Food wise over the weekend wasn't great. Anyway its done.

Going back to the gym tonight, has to be done. Will go for half an hour and start building it up. Looking forward to it and getting into some sort of routine again. Hopefully I find something that fits to go.

You do seem out of sorts Maman, maybe just a bit of the post holiday blues?

Good luck with the house Durham!!

Shala how did you behave yourself over the weekend? :rotfl:

5 lbs is a great loss :j but I know what you mean. I have 12st to lose and think that at least the first couple of stones should magically fall off :p This unrealistic expectation has made me fail in the past so I'm working on changing my mindset. If I stick to the plan and trust it, it will come off, even at 1lb a week. I'm not hungry, I don't feel deprived (much) so I feel I can do this for the long haul.

Greentiger, that is  when you've stayed on plan. Here's to a better week for you. Tablet is far too sweet for me but in icecream?... Mmmm

Joedenise, I love watermelon but it does take a lot of tubs

That's a brilliant result Greenbeanie. :T Please do not be down-hearted about it. I have shifted 8 stone in 15 months (still more to go) and that averages out at around 1.75lbs a weeks - in that time I have had massive losses, some have been teenie meanie 0.5lb's and there are other weeks when I have stuck to plan and I have had a bloomin gain . But as you get a bit further down the road with it all, you will be able to look back, see the picture as a whole and a downward trend with the losses. Good luck with the coming week. :)

mumoftwo - hope the scales are kind to you at wi. I had a sneeky look this morning too and I will just say that I am not expecting too much tonight at wi. :o

Feel for you greentiger after having stuck to plan and then had a flamin gain. :( Thank so much for your description of tablet - I feel as though I must have some NOW :rotfl: and mixed in with ice-cream - sounds like idea of heaven :rotfl:

Good luck with gym visit tonight lantanna :)

It's absolutely freezing here today - thinking of putting heating on as I am at home now probably till I go to wi tonight around 7pm. Went out this morning with long-sleeved jumper and thick padded winter coat with hood up as it was chucking it down. Just looking out of the window it looks more like November instead of July. Hope it dries up and warms up for wedding on Saturday.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Hi all - I'm back again...

change of plan for lunch after sorting out kitchen realised I've got the stock, potatoes & carrots plus some other leftover veg so instead of a cold salad I'm going to have all the leftovers wizzed up into a nice mixed veg soup, have had to add a bit of water as the potatoes have made it a bit too thick to eat it easily. Think I'll enjoy it much more than a salad particularly as it's so grey and miserable this morning. Will just need to reheat it when I'm ready to eat but probably won't be for a while yet as only had breakfast about 10!

Have chopped up half the watermelon and it's filled a good sized box and was amazed that there are hardly any seeds in it - usually there are loads to pick out.
